Sarah gasped and dropped the phone with a clack!

”Sarah! What happened are you okay?” Tess said, scrambling over to her side with a hand on her shoulder.

On the table lay the message… and Tess looked straight at it.

She froze, eyes wide as her hand turned limp. Slowly dropping from Sarah’s shoulder.

”I- um.”

Tess’s hands were shaking. She had never been this scared till right now.

“I'm sorry you couldn't tell me,” Sarah said, adding to Tess’s negative emotions.

”I'll just go,” Tess whispered with tears in her throat.

She's never cried, it never came naturally to her. But now, out of all the situations she's been in, now her tears crawl.

Sarah turns toward Tess as she goes to hang up her apron in the kitchen. And time flashes…

Tess’s eyes flutter.

Sarah kissed her. She pulled Tess in by the neck and kissed her.

”I like you to you emo lesbian,” Sarah huffs and jokingly turns away with her arms crossed.

Tess bursts out laughing (and crying.)
