It can be a death threat or a love letter, a mission or a murder. It could be any letter, but make it integral to the story.

I'm sorry.
If you're reading this, I'm dead.
I should've told you sooner.
I shouldn't have told you so late either.
But alas, we can never escape fate. And nor can we escape reality.
Don't listen to the voices. They're lying to you. You cannot trust a single soul, with your mind, your heart, or you're trust.
The only way out is to listen to the wind.
