Tears stain the page as I run to my comfort place longing for someone to turn to me and say

I see you I see your searching

I see your loss and how you’ve been hurting

But your still here and that’s all that matters

I hear the way your heart shatters

I try and try again to be someone seen

But maybe it’s not what’s I’m supposed to be

I want to be able to breathe

Maybe it takes a minute to finally see

Someone sees my searching

Someone knows I’m lost and hurting

But I’m still here

I’m alive today

And I matter

Though I may not feel brave.

I’m heard and loved and seen

Even when the sun doesn’t shine

The moon does the shining
