VISUAL PROMPT

Without describing exactly what you see, write a story, poem, or descriptive paragraph which conjures this image.
Lost
I feel you sitting there and staring.
I don’t know you, but you’re not caring.
I’m scared when I think of you standing in my room while it’s all dark.
Only your face, being lit up by the small match spark.
I don’t understand what runs through your head.
When you have me hear, alone and scared in my bed.
I would like you to just go away. Go away and never stay.
But I can’t let you go, there’s just no way.
I need you here with me, I can’t get rid of the thought inside me.
It was you, the only one that could make me feel free.
You’d let me out of that wet cold cage.
Even when all it would bring is rage.
I’d like to say I’m glad you have the key.
But would any of that be really good for me?
You have access all the time,
Your heart not in mind.
You said you didn’t love me, well that’s good!
With you I always felt misunderstood!
Who am I kidding, you know that’s not true.
These spikes, down from the ceiling. Holding us together like glue.
So even if we’re trapped, while we’re lost.
I’ll enjoy it, but all you’re letting in, is lots of frost.
