Remember You Will Die
Memento Mori
Didn’t you get the memo
When we were sitting on the living room floor playing life
Some of us ended in mansions
Few of us ended content
But once you reach retirement,
They never tell us what comes next.
We spent the whole time collecting money and kids
Caught in the competition I’m not sure we enjoyed any of it
And there are always different sides
Often there’s a common enemy
But no matter how good or bad in life
Happy ever after ends the same
Alone or together
Bodies in their graves
And I took one thing with me, that haunts me every night
Memento Mori
Remember you will die
