Or write a letter to someone on a character's mind.
What hurts the most
is not getting so close.
But, instead, it hurts
the most when
you miss their smile.
And they’re already gone.
And you can’t stop thinking
you’ll never see it again.
I don’t have any words for how perfect this is. I understand the pain, at least parts of it. I don’t think anyone could ever understand someone’s pain perfectly.
But this is just so…..I don’t know. I want to say beautiful because it is, but then it’s so sad and beautiful feels wrong. This is just so emotional, and in only a few sentences it’s so much. More than a whole paragraph could be. It’s so beautiful.
