The Decision Waterfall
The waterfall was beautiful. The forest cried out to it as it’s crystal waters hit the icy river beneath it. A deer made its way out of the misty woods and lapped at the river, the waterfall roaring in their ears. The bracken shuddered as another creature came forth. Another deer, a doe, stood behind the other with eyes like they were about to say something changing. The other deer looked up at her with a smile, “I believe we’ve found the right place, Spot”, he’d tell her, pointing his nose to the waterfall. Spot shifted, “yes, but, I think we should keep going” the doe confessed, moving one of her hoofs over the rocky bank. The buck’s eyes went wide with surprise, “why? Look how resourceful this place is! Look at the waterfall, Spot! This is the place I tell you!” He stuttered. Spot nodded her brown head, “I know, Neetle but I just feel like there might be something above the waterfall that’s even greater than this!” She told him, trying to make her attempt in leaving sound believable. Nettle was still shocked, and had a mix of frustration in his gaze, “and what do you think is going to happen when us deer climb up that!?” He shook his head at the steep Stoney cliff that surrounded the water, “we have what we need here.” He sighed. Spot nodded, “but don’t you hear it?” She paused and raised her head up, “that call? There’s something greater up there! We can always come back down here if that’s not the case.” Neetle grumbled but didn’t want to disappoint her, “this is stupid, but fine.” He looked back at the waterfall, which seemed to have quieted from Spot and his’ conversation, “but if you’re wrong, we come straight back here.” Spot nodded, “alright let’s go!”
