I lost the way I looked at life

I lost the way I thought

Nothing was the same anymore

Not even the way I walked

I used to feel invincible

But now I feel invisible

Sobbing over sounds

Just a little too loud

I lost my sense of wonder

And I grew up too fast

I lost the way I saw your eyes

In every time you laughed

I lost the ability to feel happy

Without consequences

I lost the ability to feel sad

Without going in too deep

Will I ever recover

From this insane mental feat?

Will I love to scream and laugh and cry

And not feel like a wall hosting a fly?

I know it will get better someday

Though it feels so far away

I will hold myself high

Even on the hardest of days

it will get better

Are the words i whisper in the dark

Because if i say it enough

Its bound to happen, right?
