What Did You Do?

_“What did you do?!”_

My mouth can’t move to widen,

My voice too afraid to speak,

I just stare down in silence,

At what’s down beneath my feet.

_“Hello?? What did you do?!”_

She’s_ _owns the same fear I do,

With different meanings attached,

Crimson stains the wooden planks,

The copper odor unmatched.

_“Why aren’t you answering me?!-“_

She_ _shouts, her feelings seething,

Briny tears and rage down her face,

Like his body, I’m not breathing-

_Please_ just let this be a dream…

_“What did you do?! Answer me-“_

I utter, her words cut short,

My voice shaking and quiet,

I can’t say a word to support,

My actions, my accidents…

_“I…I killed him…”_
