The Climb

The rise to the top. The rise to satisfaction. The rise to the mountaintop. She yields in frustration. Wounded and weary, worrisome and weary. It’s not the rise that breaks her, it’s the weight from the fear and anxiety that she carries. And it’s not even just the weight that makes her slip, it’s her grip that makes her slip. It’s her grip that makes her slip. She lacks experience but she is clothed with confidence and proceeds anyway. She lacks physical strength but she is physically still climbing. She doesn’t seek perfection but progression because she knows that even the small steps will eventually take her to the top. Her confidence and perseverance showed greater than the fear, greater than the tears, and greater than any bloodshed.
