And burning

Don’t hurt

They feel like a reprieve from everything else

done

laying

scratching

the scars

they hurt more than the wounds ever did

Healing hurts

I’m done with the pain in the moment

But the foreverness of the feeling

will haunt me

I’m getting better

I promise

But my scars still itch
