These folks got me in this box, telling me how to live
Lookin for the key to get out, been searchin for some years
What’s big dreams to a person who only ever dreamed
Someone who decided not to chase and instead is settling
I question if those who chose the safer route are living happily
Or living looking back wishin they had done different things

This is interesting. Free form poetry? I couldn’t detect the writing scheme or pentameter.
It’s definitely a different perspective on awakening. So it’s creative and original in that sense. The focus though seems to be about being “boxed” in. It would have been good to have the speaker talk about how their dreams are being awakened.
It feels a bit abstract. And the style written is a bit hard to read. You start with a rhyming couplet but then it stops.
