You never asked, but I wanted you You never asked, but I had always waited for you I love you for everything thing you do
You never asked, but every time you touched me it set a jolt through my body You never asked, but I always loved you I turned hateful
You never asked, but when you ignored me I got hurt You never asked, but as I grew I realized the truth of you Love can always turn to hate
You never asked, but even though I tell myself I hate you; I will always love you
Freezing water from the river splashing up from the paddle hitting the water hit my face. I sucked in short, burning, breaths. My lugs were dry and felt like they were slowly shrinking. My arms burned and my hands were numb. Rocks scrapped the bottom of my kayak making it rock. I dared to look over my shoulder. I know they’re here. They’re just hiding out of sight. “Niklaus, come back to us” “NO!” I let out a painful yell, as the voice floated in my mind, “Get out of my head!” I pulled my hand over my ears and squeezed my eyes shut. They can’t get me. I won’t let them. I have to get home. When I opened my eyes I didn’t have time to register the large rock sticking out of the water before it was to late. My kayak slammed against it. Everything jolted forward, including me. I tumbled out of the kayak and was plugged into the icy depths of the water. “You belong here” the voice called. The current was strong, pulling me deeper. My clothes scoffed me, fluffing out all around me. Making it impossible to see. My body slammed into rocked and fallen trees. I could feel as the air in my lugs turned against me, slowly running out. I reached out for anything to grab as I tried to push off the bottom of the river. “Stop fighting it” I could feel as each cut and scratch was placed on to my body. For a split second my head submerged out of the water before getting pushed back under. Lucky it was just enough to get a new breath of air. My legs burned and begged me to stop. My plums were nothing but pulp and my skin was torn, but the current was relentless and unforgiving. I reached up out of the water my hand reaching for anything. I felt branches smack against my wrist cutting into my skin. Finally my fingers wrapped around a branch and pulled my head to the suffice. My face burned with sharp pricks of cold air. I flung my other arm up on to the branch and started pulling myself up to the shore. I flopped onto my back and let my eyelids flutter shut. Ever so slowly I felt warmth spread throughout my body. It started at my toes and grew to my ankles. Like a vine it climbed up my body. I could feel it as it snaked it’s was through me. The warmth runs to hot and hot turns to blistering heat. I sat up and opened my eyes gasping for breath. I was no longer at the river shore. I was in what looked to be a hospital room. An ivy was stuck into my arm and wires were connected to my chest. I was in a gown with nothing west on. The room itself was bare and stale. A slow smile crossed my face. I had once again returned from the dead.
Its been seven days and the food is starting to run low. Three of the men have killed themselves. Horrifyingly we have kept them and ate them. We only have one water barrel left now. I have tried to contact the land with smoke but it is no use. The sailors are getting restless and cruel. I pry for our survival.

Four more have been killed. The men are starting to get savage. I have had to lock myself in my room for they have tried to take me. My crew is crazed and sick. We have no hope left.

I have killed the last of my people in cold blood. I’m the last one yet. I have found a way to boil the water till drinkable. The only food I have left is the decaying flesh of my people. I pity them, for they have done nothing but served me. The sea it’s self is getting restless and cruel. I don’t know how much longer I will be alive.
I giggled as my mom chased me into the house. She told me the rain was going to melt me if I didn’t go in the house. I giggled once again, that must of what happened to my friend. He had a bald head, his skin a was a pale gray-green. His eyes were a dark gray. He gave me a big smile as he bent down and opened his arm to me. I ran into his arms and he hugged me tight. He let go of me and held out a finger. He never said anything but he always communicated with actions.
He held out his pointer finger and waited. I watched fascinated by the blue and black butterfly flying to his finger. It sat steadily under the umbrella as it flicked its stringy leg out.
“Wow!” I jumped up and down. He peered up in to the sky, then back at me. His smile faded then held out the butterfly to me. I gladly copied his movements and held out my finger. It glided over to me and landed feather-lightly on me. “It tickles!” I giggled loudly. The rain slowed and the sun slowed peered out behind the clouds. “No, please don’t leave!” I begged sadly, even though I knew he would always I pleaded for him to stay. He shook his head sadly and gave her one more hug before he stood and disappeared into the wind.
The butterfly flew on to my noise before fluttering off into the trees.
“Come on hunny! We have to go!” My mother called out as she opened the back door to the van.
“Where’s daddy?” I asked as she buckled my belt.
“Oh, hunny. Daddy’s not coming home,” her voice cracked as she tried to keep her voice calm.
“But, he always comes home at this time?” I asked.
“I know hunny, i know”
“Care to dance?” A tall, muscular, man with ivy green eyes and raven hair, bowed in front of me. I had been watching him all night, for I had never once seen him in my kingdom. He wore a black wolf mask that covered his top lip. He stood to his full height and extended a hand to me. I gave him a bright smile and grabbed on to his hand. As soon as our skin collided the heat from his hand spread through me like wild fire. His hands were rough and had calicos. “For a prince your hands are very cruel!” I committed as he pulled my body close to his. A twitch in his lips as he leaded the way in our dance. “Who said I was a prince?” He smirked, as he spun me in a circle before pulling me back against his chiseled chest. “You look exquisite tonight,” he smiled brightly down on me. “I’m always exquisite,” I said with a cocky attitude. He let out a sweet, deep, laugh. He had a small dimple only on the right side of his face. “I like you, and because of that, I would advise you to get down” he said in a low tone. The laughter and up-beat tone was gone out of his voice. “Excuse me?” I asked out of breath. “I mean, I asked you to face to kill you. There are twelve people here who are dancing with someone they are going to kill. So when I say go, drop to the ground.” He peered around the court catching the eye of another man two groups away. They gave each other a small nod before turning back to me. “Now, I will have to stab you, but don’t worry it won’t be fatal.” I stood frozen in my place unable to move. The music drifted into the background and my ears rung. Before I could respond a sharp pain exploded on the right side of my stomach just below my rib. “Sorry darling,” was the last thing I heard before screams erupted and everything went dark.
The sun had sunken beneath the earth. The night cascaded in the sky. I flopped down onto my bed closing my eyes, relishing on the stressful day I had. I snapped awake. My room was darker, the dim light from the outside world was gone. Peering over to my clock, the red glowing numbers, showed that it was now 3:30 a.m. I sat up rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Stalking my way over to the bathroom I hear a light scratch sound on the ceiling. I glanced around the room, but everything was in place. I brushed it off and continued to the bathroom. I turned on the bathroom light starting at myself in the mirror. I turned to the fossett water. Running my hand under the cold water till it warmed up and I dunked my face. Another long scratching sound came from behind me. Quick I dried my face off and opened my eyes. I stared out the bathroom door. The glowing light from the bathroom only shone so far. The room was a black ibis. Quickly I turned off the water and the light. I ran out of the bathroom and jumped on to my bed in the middle of the room. I shuffled under my blankets and sat at the top of the bed, the headboard pushed against my back. My heart race quickened and my breath became heavy. I scanned the room over and over again, waiting for anything or anyone. My hands shook as i clutched the blanket to my chest. “Missy?” Someone on the other side of my bedroom door called out in a singsong voice. I covered my mouth to silence my scream. “I know you in there”. A cry escaped my mouth. “Can i come in?” It asked. I kept quiet not saying a word. “Don’t be rude, Missy.” It laughed to its self as if it was taking pleasure in my fear. “GO AWAY!” I screamed my voice breaking. “It’s not nice to yell” It whispered right behind me. Before I could react I felt a cold metal across my neck.
