A large gray pot is on the stove. Under it, I can see the flames heating what’s inside the pot, and the pot itself. Small droplets of water are running down the sides of the pot to the flames of the stove. The delicious smell coming from the pot makes me want to open it and eat all the food. But, the flames under the pot discourage me. I put a kitchen glove on my right hand to avoid the burn from the hot pot.
The empty house stands desolate and stark, With broken windows, bare and lifeless walls, No welcome waits within the deepening dark. The garden's choked with weeds, a tangled ark, Where shadows stretch and deepen as night falls, The empty house stands desolate and stark. The roof is breached, the walls begin to arc, In rooms where silence echoes through the halls, No welcome waits within the deepening dark. No fire burns within the chimney's mark, No laughter rings, no comfort there at all, The empty house stands desolate and stark. The paint is peeling, leaving but a mark Of faded grandeur, and the plaster falls. No welcome waits within the deepening dark. The echoes whisper, memories embark, But life has fled beyond the garden walls, The empty house stands desolate and stark. No welcome waits within the deepening dark.
In the quiet town where shadows creep,
Lies a secret buried deep.
Whispers in the darkened street,
Speak of a tale incomplete.
The clock struck twelve, the night was still,
A figure moved with silent skill.
In the old mansion, cold and grand,
A sinister plan was close at hand.
The chandelier swung with a ghostly sway,
As footsteps echoed and then went away.
Two screams cut through the midnight air,
Two souls departed, no one there.
The morning dawned with a chilling breeze,
Two bodies found among the trees.
Detectives came, their faces stern,
To solve the riddle, the truth to learn.
Clues and secrets, webs of lies,
Hidden motives and alibis.
In the end, justice sought its due,
The guilty caught, the town anew.
But in the quiet, shadows still creep,
Guarding secrets, dark and deep.
Beneath the moon's silver gaze so bright, Whispers dance in the cloak of night, In shadows deep where secrets sleep, The doubts of man his heart do sweep.
Unseen eyes from the darkness peer, Through the veil of truth and fear, A furtive glance, a cautious tread, Silent words that go unsaid.
Each step a journey through the haze, A labyrinth of mind’s dark maze, Where trust is thin as morning mist, And lies like serpents coil and twist.
What truths do linger, hidden well? In silence, do they rise and swell? Suspicion’s net is finely spun, Till night's shadows yield to dawn’s first sun.
You destroy houses and hearts to build new ones, Leaving families homeless and lovers loveless in the wake of your ambition. You pave paths through dreams and despair, Erecting towers where whispers of the past linger in the air.
But from the rubble of yesterday’s warmth and walls, New stories arise where old ones fall. In the midst of steel and stones, echoes of laughter blend, As the future weaves itself from broken ends.
Though destruction leaves a trace that time does betray, Within the ruins, hope finds its way. For every heart rebuilt, every home restored, Holds a legacy of courage, dreams reborn, once more.
In shadows deep, where secrets lie, Two souls entwined, a silent cry. A promise made, with crimson ink, A bond unbroken, on the brink.
Through trials faced, and battles fought, In whispered vows, their fate was caught. A pact of blood, a sacred thread, In darkest nights, their hearts were led.
No force could tear, nor time erase, The mark they bore, a shared embrace. In life and death, their spirits tied, A blood pact sealed, forever bide.
In valleys deep where shadows creep, the cries of men resound, With hearts so true, they seek what’s due, in laws and rights profound. Oh, justice fair, beyond compare, your scales of truth we hail, With strength and grace, in every place, your light shall never fail.
From dawn till dusk, in iron trust, your banner we uphold, In halls of stone, your voice has grown, more precious than pure gold. For those in plight, who seek the light, in darkness feel thy hand, You right the wrong, you make us strong, and in your name we stand.
In silent night, a beacon bright, your call can ne’er be stilled, With every pen and voice of men, your spirit is instilled. So lift your head, with courage fed, let justice be our guide, For in her name, we shape the flame of truth that cannot hide.
Through storm and calm, she holds our palm, a shield that none can breach, With wisdom old and courage bold, her lessons shall we teach. To every soul, with fervent goal, let liberty be just, For in the end, to all defend, in justice we shall trust.
