Ali was your average village girl, she was beautiful and smart. Never making a single mistake, so when she found out that she was accused of being a witch and was going to be burned at the stake she fled. She had no clue why she was being tried as a witch but it scared her. Ali had a secret, she was a werewolf, so she ran deep into the woods, to find her pack. When she did they started a riot, planning to attack the village.
I opened my eyes to see every character I ever wrote around me, all staring down after me. I looked around, I recognized all of them: Michael, Autumn, Colby, Jamie, Edoria, Blaze, Jayden, Peter, Grace, Navy, Pat… all of them. Blaze and Blaze are of even complications because Blaze is a prince elf with a terrible backstory, and Michael was bitten by a zombie and slowly losing his sanity. Eden was my safest option as a friend, she was 15 and young at heart, just like me.
The new world is high above the city since humans polluted the ground, our character Sammy, was daring and adventurous. Sammy was currently swinging over the edge of the sky city, many people had advised him not to but he didn’t care. How he would wish he had listened later on. Sammy let go of the swings chains, his worst mistake by far, and he slipped. Falling off the edge he screamed for help, but nobody could hear him, the earth was coming in hot and it didn’t look good for Sammy…
I’ve never believed in crossing the path of a black cat would curse you. But I’ve also never walked across the path of a black cat. Until today… I walked across the path of a black cat and after that my life started going down hill. I couldn’t drink from a water fountain without it spitting water at a face pace at my face, or get cereal from the highest shelf without them spilling, walk through doors without tripping over that annoying part, or even be on my phone without it over heating.
As I got up to do my hair I noticed gum was in it, I had been chewing gum before bed but I swear I spit it out. I got it out of my hair and walked into the kitchen- the cereal was on the top shelf again. I grabbed the broom and started poking it and then it toppled over, cereal spilt all over the floor, “Caty!” My mom groaned, “Sorry mom.” I sighed, “Clean it up.” She said to me, “Yes ma’am.” I said back, after that was done I got on the bus and the only seat left was the ripped one, I sighed as I sat down in the seat. At school my desk was covered in pencil markings. I normally doodle on the desk but I never carved into it, after class I tried to get a sip from the water fountain but it just high speed and high pressure. I was soaked. I groaned really loudly, as the bell rang too. “Stop right there.” I heard a voice, it was the most annoying voice ever, Angelica Ray, “Ok.” I said as she came up to me, “Your getting a tardy now.” She said with a chuckle, “I know.” I said with sarcasm, and I went to class. As soon as I got my tardy I sat down in my desk and realized, all these bad things that happened to me where because of the choices I made. Superstitions aren’t real, I had just made bad choices and chewed gum without spiting my gum out, I pushed the cereal box over with the broom, I carved into the desk unconsciously, I was late to the bus so of course it was filled up and no one wanted to sit in the ripped seat, and I used the broken water fountain, which made me late to class.
His heart broke, but he kept on smiling, “Congrats!” He said to his best friend and his crush who had started dating, “Thanks man.” His best friend Tyler said, “Thanks Jake!” Anna his crush said, he jumped at his name but he nodded. Tyler wasn’t good enough for Anna, but Jake wasn’t going to get in the way of Anna and her love, after all he had liked her since sixth grade. Sounds stupid right? Not really because a few months later Anna came running to Jake, “Tyler hit me!” She said crying, Jake pulled her into a hug and defensively put her beside him, “I’m sorry about this Anna. I should’ve told you he was abusive.” Jake said, Tyler came running in and Anna jumped behind Jake. “Give me back my girlfriend.” Tyler said, “Not if you hit her.” Jake said back sourly, “Your freaking out.” Tyler sighed, Jake wanted to believe his best friend but he couldn’t. “Sorry man but your not a good person.” Jake said as he took Anna’s hand and walked off.
10 Years later Anna is walking down the Aisle, Jake smiling brightly. Anna looks so beautiful, Jake looks so handsome.
The end of this story is the beginning of a new one.
When I was younger, maybe thirteen or fourteen I was starred in a very famous movie and everyone knew my name, but acting isn’t always pretty. I was constantly paraded by paparazzi and news networks, I eventually moved out of country where the movie wasn’t as popular. I died my hair and changed my name. Eventually as the movie died down I undied my hair and changed my name back, not very many people know me now and I like it, I get to be a normal person with a excessive amount of money no one knows about except now the person reading this. I like my life and wouldn’t change it.
I smiled, I always played the devil’s advocate when I was alive and now here in hell I was the devil’s advocate. I laughed at the people being tourtured. I constantly pranked people, it was like a dream come true. I never want to leave- but a few months ago I was supposed to be in heaven, I believed in God, was baptized and read scripture every day. I stopped for a second and rethought my hell residency, “Whitney, don’t be rethinking it now.” The devil said, but I couldn’t help it. I just wanted to be in both places. I was enjoying hell but I wanted to be up there so badly. Suddenly a bright light shone from above, “We have come to recover Whitney from hell.” The voices said as I floated up to the sky, “Goodbye Devil!” I said solemnly, it could never be that I would be able to be in both places. For now, heaven was my refuge, and I had to learn to like it.
As I looked at my jewelry box I smiled, “Princess K.” Was written on it, I sat down on my bed and flopped backwards, I sighed. Long days where the worst- “Dinners ready!” I heard my dad scream, “I’m coming!” I said back, I walked downstairs calm and composed, I’d never opened my jewelry box before, my mom told me before she died that until I was eighteen I wasn’t allowed to open it. “Evening.” I said my my brothers, “Afternoon fair lady.” My older brother Drake said. I smiled at him, the kind of smile that people need to smile every now and then, “Where’s JJ?” I asked to my dad, “He’s out with some friends.” He responded, “And Willow?” I asked about my younger sister, “Sick. She’s at Nanas.” He responded chilly, my eighteenth birthday was tomorrow and I couldn’t wait to open my box. After dinner I cleaned off the table and went straight to bed.
In the morning I opened my box, nothing was in there that I could see, suddenly I started coughing. I had unleashed a deadly fungus.
As the days go by I wonder and sigh Could she ever like me? Surely not with all my miso soup I eat And surely not with my journals I keep. For who could ever learn to love me?
Sorry guys I’m not used to writing poems… this is actually the first one I’ve written in a super long time. -Kay Bug
