I met him thru my bestie, He was her Cousin. Khali Talked Highly about her Cousin James, I had to know for myself what Kinda person he was. She insists I call him up, but I didn't know if I was ready to date yet. My mother surely didn't Like the idea of me being around boys. I was 17 at the time and she gave me hell about it. Khali & I went to the same school and we had sleepovers almost every weekend. I let her convince me into calling James up. I probably wouldn't have dialed his number if I was home. But since I was staying the week with Khali, I felt comfortable. I dial his number, waving to Khali to leave her room for a moment to have privacy. It was my first time calling a guy up, I was a little nervous. As Khali walks down the hall to her dad's Pool Room, James picks up. His voice was soothing as he says “Hello, How Can I be of service”. He seemed so respectful and spoke with intelligence. He was A gentleman throughout the whole discussion. We chatted about school, our hobbies, And How I got his number. I explained to him, his cousin had great things to say about him and thought we'd hit it off. My mother forbade me to date until I finished school. He asked if he could meet her, I laughed and told him not for a while. I wanted to ease the conversation when I spoke to her about a guy I was interested in. Khali comes in, it was her room so what could I have said? I tell James I have to go but will be calling him later on. He tells me before he hangs up to tell his cousin, my best friend, that he is grateful to her for handing his number out. I laughed, Khali could hear him do to her standing right next to me, she blurts out, “You're Welcome”. After putting the phone down, Khali grills me, asking me what all we talked about and if I could see myself with him. I told her I'd have to meet him first and maybe have a few more conversations. “I liked what I heard from him, He was such a gentleman and well-spoken”. Khali giggled in happiness. She knew we would work out. After I left Khali’s house to go home, James was all I could think about! He made an impression on me. My mother stood in the doorway of my room grilling me about Staying at Khali’s as often as I do. She went on for an hour but I heard nothing she was saying, my thoughts were focused on James. Finally, she had left my doorway. I immediately fetch the house phone, I wasn't a teenager that had a cellular phone. Thank goodness it was wireless, I could just run into my room with it. I dialed James, I was jonesing to talk to him more. He picks up on the first ring, the Same greeting as we first spoke. “Hi, it's me, Ericka”. He snickered. I've been waiting for you to call, he replied. We talked for hours. We talked about everything and anything. Weeks went by, we talked on and off without my Mothers knowledge. James calls me around night, he knew my moms would be sleeping. One day after school James calls, and why he was calling before dark was an enigma to me. I barely got in the door, My mother picks up. Nervous about what she was going to say to him and me. He tells her that we met at school which was a tiny lie, he asks her if he could take me out for dinner and Bowling! She felt so great about him coming to her first, and she agrees. I'm waiting for her to hang up on him, She hands it to me. “Will Discuss This Later Dear”, she comments as she walks away. I take the phone to my room. Scared of what she was going to say later. After hanging up with him, my mom says to get ready. She wasn't upset. I get so excited. I get ready but as I am, I slip and hit my head, and a pump knot forms on my forehead. His first time seeing me, I had a huge bump to share with him. A true story, glad to be sharing.
It's weird when traveling you find all kinds of things but just so happens that this time I found something I can't take back with me.
It seemed like a normal day, a day where the sun shined bright and the sky was clear, not a rain cloud to complain about. Julie wakes with a great sense of happiness and humor. She decides to ask a few of her friends to take a friend vacation to catch up on all the good times and take more adventures with lots of photos. It was time Julie thought to herself, she'd been working so hard these last few months.
After a quick breakfast, she puts on an old pair of shorts and a white tank top that is a couple of sizes bigger than her. She planned to run a little and make a few calls to invite the girls, only two of her best friends. The exercise was her second thing to do after she ate breakfast. She knew a place in North Carolina where they could stay in cottages out in the woods, she'd book it all even if the girls didn't agree. She grabbed her belongings and headed out to run, the cold air hitting her as soon as she walked out into the yard. It felt amazing for some reason and made her think how much work she's been putting in lately, how much she wanted to be free.
It wasn't long before a warm breeze came over the mountain, Julie could feel it in her bones. She set her earbuds in and dialed the first number as she started to run around the neighborhood. When she got through to them she said she'd call a half hour or so later. They agreed, and Julie said goodbye and hung up. As she ran, she hummed to herself as she played music on her phone. A couple of hours pass, and she gets tired a bit and slows down a little so she doesn't tire out too quickly. She drinks from her water bottle and continues to jog a little more, dialing the next number to reach her friend.
They hang up shortly after their initial greeting. They were going to have to call me back, but they would keep in touch.
The next person was another one of her close friends, Rachel. After talking a bit more, she said she had someone who wanted to come along as well. That would make it four of us and I didn't know how I felt about it. So of course, we went back and forth about it. But I eventually agreed and told her female-only adventure was a go. We set up a date, which we were all excited about.
After that, it was finally time to say hello to the Third person. Her name was Evelyn and although she was very busy with work, she was always happy for us to come over to see her, Maybe stay a few nights there and then go deeper into the Mountains of North Carolina.
I was excited about it all and the girl's agreement made it Fantastic.
We all agreed to meet in front of the restaurant at nine, and I made sure everything was going to be perfect. We all would talk for hours till we meet up.
It took almost no effort to set it up, Evelyn was happy to help me out.
Everything seemed to be going as planned, I packed light because I'm a shopper, especially when I travel. Evelyn Packed medium and essentials only. She was practical. I packed enough clothes and my hygiene kit to last a month and then some food because I knew that most of them would either go back home or end up with some other group that needed them, so I packed food I knew they could use and stuff to bring over to our cabin with three bedrooms. Since Rachel wants to bring someone she'll have to sleep alongside them and share a room. It all seemed perfect. We said goodbye to everyone, hugged a few people, and said thank you again. All I had left to do was pick them up and head off. After driving a bit, we finally made it. We started with a hike and then we found a great path to veer off to, which by then we ended up at this large Mtn which had an opening. We were shocked.
It’s a beautiful place where you’ve taken me! I’m grateful for the walk and scenery. It’s a place where I’d love to see us marrying. But I wondered if that’s what you wanted too? I'm thankful for being in your arm and your walking me thru the path of adventure and great scenery. In the end, it's a new beginning for us. You've been my friend, someone who I can confide in. My lover and someone I can see my ending with. My future is what I think about on this walk. That we are both living in our own little universe, the one we created together. We have been happy, content. It is the kind of life we could always envision. The way we look at each other, we know that. And even though we're still not married yet, the thought has crossed my mind. We should get married at some point. I asked him that once, when we were alone.
"I would be honored," he replied. He held my hand. "But how long do you want us to wait?" He chuckled as he saw my smile. "I don't like the idea of waiting either."
We talked more and more about what we had planned. But this scenery walk is perfect because it is a romantic stroll with just us. No other people or animals around to ruin this moment. Just us enjoying our own company and time in the world. A special moment, no matter how many times we go there. I couldn't ask for anything more.
"So how about we make this our wedding Spot”?
I smiled. "I'd love that. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First things first. We have to plan the ceremony."
He sighed. "Okay fine. If that's the way it must be." We laughed. And then he took another deep breath and looked into my eyes. We kissed at that moment and it all felt like a fantasy . Like we were really here. Our world was right in front of us. Our future was set. Everything seemed possible.
But the reality was that we will never be able to live up to this dream. We are nothing more than two souls who met under these trees. Two souls with dreams of different paths. Except for this Scenery path always made me believe he was the one for me. He spoke to me with his love and I lived for all his words. I believed Jimmy Was the one for me. I believed we were destined to meet again and spend an eternity together.
And now I have to give everything up for him. For my dream of having a family. Of living a normal life. Of having kids of my own. Of growing old, of becoming a grandma, of watching their lives grow up. I'm sad in a way if we figure it all out will it be the right choice for us?
She's beautiful and her voice is so cheerful. “I believe I just met the happiest person in the world!” Her name was Angie And she seemed like an angel. But she has her skeletons. I never find out till the last moments but She always carries a smile on her brown-skinned face. I liked that about her! Angie has a beautiful body and even though I rarely see her exposed, it still had me fantasizing about her. We're only friends but I wished we were more. She had me wrapped around her finger and sometimes her smile got me out of a lot of trouble with others.
That afternoon when she said that I was her best friend she meant every word. There wasn't another person like me, we have known each other for years and she's never been mean to me or tried to steal anyone I was with. I'm not jealous at all. No one could ever be as beautiful as Angie. And yet she made my heart skip a beat. When I heard those words, I felt like someone put a hand on my heart and squeezed it.
When I met Angie, she looked different than most girls I've seen. She's taller than everyone else and has long, wavy, dark brown hair. Angie had great teeth too and they shone in the sunlight. She has big blue eyes and she looks happy. She makes me feel better even when things get bad, she always cheers me up. I thought we'd get along well but then our friendship began to slowly crumble. She became distant and cold toward me and I believe she felt the same and was ashamed of her feelings. I tried my best to talk to Angie again but that didn't help. I know how hard it can be when you're shy and boys can learn how to control their emotions and hide them away until you're sure you won't show them your feelings. But we are two women who had feelings for each other, and both of us were very afraid to say anything because we feared what people would think. After a while I decided that it was my job as her best friend to do something about this situation, show her we are the same and feel the same.
When we finally talked again, I knew that if there was one thing Angie needed, it was my love. That night after dinner we sat on the floor and started talking about everything we couldn't bring ourselves to talk about before. She told me everything, even her dreams. Then she told me something that scared me. I wished she hadn't. She told me she dreamt that we would fight over a third lover and she would break things off between us. I don't know why I believed her. It made no sense, but I did. I was confused and I was angry at first but I soon forgave her. She apologized and cried. She was so sorry for making things awkward between us but the next day felt as awkward as it could get and now I know for certain that she hates me.
"I believe I just met the happiest person in the world!" Angie said in her soft voice. She looked beautiful sitting here by my side. I looked into her eyes and smiled. Angie was a kind girl and I knew that she'd change my life. I hoped she'd keep changing it in the future.
I wish I knew more that we could explore.
I couldn't see my life without her smiling Face. So welcoming and sweet. The way she looks at me with those pretty eyes and blushes whenever we hug. It's all I can look forward to during the week because she's my reason for existing. I had strong feelings for Angie. I just want to tell her that, to be honest, and to see those eyes light up in happiness and excitement. But I don't know if I should tell her. All I want is to have the happiest person in the world be with me always, is that too much to ask? We look out for each other every where we go, we're practically joined together, and that makes us inseparable.
My body is stiff and my skin is cold, I wondered what and why I'm dressed in my finest in a coffin. Why my favorite treasures were right next to me as if I had just died? What had happened to me? I woke in a coffin with no knowledge of how I got there but somehow found myself in this strange place that looked like a church. There was nothing in the world more unsettling than finding yourself in a funeral home. This particular funeral home, however, was unlike anything I’d ever seen before. It looked old but still new, as well as strange. It's like a cathedral or something and it didn't seem to fit within the town it resided in. I tried looking out the window but all I could see were trees. The sky was dark and cloudy with heavy clouds obscuring the moonlight from above. Even though I knew the day had begun I didn't know where exactly to begin. I was dead but alive at the same time. How did I die then? How can I be here now? I turned around to look around me, hoping someone would come in and tell me what was happening, but there wasn't anyone else in the room so I figured I would have to figure things out on my own. Someone mourned me, flowers in vases surrounded me. I wondered how long I’ve been down here?
It starts with me making my conclusions about my own life, where it's clear of those trying to steer me their way. I'm a protagonist in my own story. As I let my wings form, I shall be taking flight soon in an adventurous future. This is my promise for me and my freedom.
As I let my wings form, I shall be taking flight soon in an adventurous future. This is my promise of me and my freedom. To not be held down by someone's shadow. To take control over me and to live for me as I want to. This is My way to Freedom.
I fly.
And soar.
And feel free from the strains that bind me to the ground.
The weight on my shoulders has been lifted. I have made my decisions, I am now able to choose to live for myself. This freedom feels so great! For years I had lived under a false sense of obligation toward my family and everyone else. I'll fly into freedom with my wings spread and be the best I can be. To be free of all of my burdens. This is my adventure towards freedom. And as my feathers become stronger, my wings begin to grow longer and more powerful. A feeling of lightness fills me. A strange feeling. And yet… I know exactly what this feeling is. It’s me being who I was meant to be!
Walking along the busy streets, Sky Was in a hurry to get to the fountain where she’d make a wish. She then runs into James, and smacks him, spilling his coffee all over her. Rain was falling from the sky, and it wasn't just any rain that was making its way down the streets of Diver Valley. No, this storm was different than all the others had been, a storm with no known beginning nor end, but instead a continuous flow of grey that seemed to be everywhere. It's not like there hadn't always been storms around, or even for that matter that the weather could ever be good without one, but since the last one was so many years ago that the people living here have grown accustomed to them. The rain didn't just fall when it wanted to though, if you looked up and tried hard enough you could see some stars peeking out through the gray clouds above them, and then it started raining harder on that one, as well. They lived near the town, and they could walk to most places because of how close the houses were to each other. Even so, today was more rainy than usual, and the roads were covered with water, so much so they would probably have to drive through the mud if they wanted to get anywhere. The roads might not have been too bad if they weren't so muddy and slippery. They'd gotten used to it after awhile though.
She didn't seem to care though, and James doesn't mind either.
He walks with her, asking questions about what's going on and she responds excitedly. They both go into the shop where the fountain is located, James gets himself something sweet while Sky makes a wish and leaves, smiling and happy at herself. Her smile falls once she steps outside though. The rain hasn't stopped yet, but it isn't raining nearly as heavily anymore, so she can go home now. But, she isn't quite done with James yet. She wants to spend more time with him. Get to know him. Skye has an obsessive personality.
James smiles, waving goodbye to her and walking off towards home, still talking to himself about what was going on in the shop he walked into moments ago. She watches him walk away before she starts to make her way back home, stopping to catch a glimpse of his back as he heads inside his house. James lives alone and stays to himself most time. She can see where he lived and it's actually pretty nice, but it's also empty. He never has anyone over, and Skye knows why, she saw his room at his place once, and it looked nothing like this. There are statues everywhere, and his walls are littered with books and comics. She likes seeing him like that, thru his window, she could see it all. If she had the guts she would've gone up to his door and knocked with a smile for him, talked to him, maybe even kissed him. Skye sighs, shaking her head, not really wanting to think about things she shouldn't. She looks at her watch as she continues her way back home. It was getting late and she didn't want to spend all her time obsessing over James.
I’m Ally and I usually spend most days with my friends, there’s a group of us but only Me and Gabby had the closest relationship, maybe a little too close some would say. Gabby and I have known each other longest since we were in diapers. She and I were more like sisters until we got older we became closer as friends who wanted to experiment. Gabby and I would spend hours on the phone talking about everything, always had to beep the crew in. There's Janet, Brenda, and Tiana, Basically us five all the time. I just wanted it to be me and Gabby but it seemed hard because she would always invite the rest of them. I invited her on a camping trip, hoping it would only be Us two. Gabby had other plans.
She was someone beautiful to see while walking by! She never seemed to be looking out the window but just in the window staring at a book or writing or listening to music, the window is where she felt free. Her hair was long, way passed her hips, she danced sometimes and I like watching her, hope that didn’t make me creepy but I couldn’t help myself. She had a way about her that intrigued me! I walked by her window every day just to see what new thing she'd be doing in her window. She is an innocent soul, I wished I could just get her to look at me from that window. She had a subtle smile, wondering what goes thru her mind. One day after four months of walking by, I sang a tune she had been listening to often and The girl In the window noticed me. She gave me a wink and a smile, so now I walk on by with a wave, while she smiles. Maybe one day I'll get her name and we can converse properly. But for now, I'll just wave to the girl in the window, she's as beautiful as can be and a mystery to me.
The Article in the Paper read, “Welcome all adults who want the fun but discreetly”. An intriguing article as I began to read on. Sherry wanted an adventure, but she didn't know if she was bold enough to tend. A Secret club where you had to go thru a personality test to even be accepted in. The rules were strict before entry, when you finally accepted you had to leave your cell phone or cameras at the door. It all seemed very hush-hush. Sherry couldn't go to an event like this without getting her friend involved, she figured Camron could use the night out anyway. But would she be judged for getting Cameron Involved? Sherry calls Camron, she discussed why they should go and if they would have a chance to be accepted. Camron Was all in, she loved a great adventure.
They apply and take the personality test, and both get accepted and have time to get ready. They rent a fancy automobile so they can arrive with class, really didn't matter because the women were made to park and walk a couple of blocks to the actual location. It's a building with one door and a few windows. Kind of a secluded area. What were they walking into they thought to themselves. They knocked on the door twice and sang a tune knocked two more times, that was the secret way. The door opened and behind it was a beautiful woman that had a familiar face. Camron tells me the woman is a Tv star, this secret club was a club where celebrities could mingle and fraternize with normal regular folk. Something new and exciting. We can say and do anything we want with them, except for killing them of course. I was ecstatic, hoping I'd get to meet my favorite celebrities and make out with them. A night to remember I hoped.
