**“Darling, you could’ve avoided this if you hadn’t opened your pretty little mouth to call me a psycho..” **
I stood there infront of him, his body covered in the slimy crimson substance of blood. How dare he talk to another girl? How dare he betray my trust in such a horrid manner?
“Whatever..” I mumbled, as I carelessly turned away from him while I pulled the bloodied surgeons gloves off of my hands. I hadn’t thought to check his pulse at all. And that’s when the phone call ended and the police sirens sounded.
“Officer I swear I didn’t kill him..” I now say with fake tears swelling in my eyes. “Do you really think his own girlfriend would do such a thing?” I forced my voice to give out, bringing my hands up to my mouth.
“I’m scared..” Mave mumbles, a bit of tears welling in her eyes as her small fingers tighten around a lump of her older sister’s gown. “Don’t be.” Roselyn responds, anticipation creeping into her voice as the cloud of dark magic moves closer.
“Mommy said not to go this far out..” Mave whispers, stumbling as Roselyn starts walking towards it. “Ros…” Mave’s eyes start to water- Roselyn whirls around, placing her hands on Mave’s soft shoulders.
“Mave. You’re always going to be safe if you stay by sissy, alright?” Roselyn says in reassurance as her eyes flit between Mave’s.
“Alright?”
She repeats, hands squeezing Mave’s shoulders. Mave nods, Roselyn smiles.
She turns back around, long gown flowing in the wind as the furious storm of dark magic precedes closer. She starts walking towards the storm, keeping Mave close behind her. Standing a few feet infront of it, her gown clings to her body.
The wind rages on though everything seems quiet to Roselyn as she outstretches her hand up to the storm. The electricity of it crackles towards her. A jolt rages throughout her as her eyes glow bright purple.
The magic was too overwhelming for her.. Roselyn’s body grows limp, collapsing as the purple dulls and the world keeps spinning.
