For a moment I thought I was asleep I look to the right of me and I see an older women staring into the deep that’s in front of her. She had just ordered some sea salt peanuts. “What should I do”? As I reach for her hand that is clinched to the chair, I hear more screams coming from behind me “I just wanted to visit my aunt sally” she expressed Her chair begins to move I keep still “Oh, please” she moans Crack’ Her chair tips at the edge and falls down into the deep where there is smoke and darkness I begin to pray as I feel my own seat will not hold me for much longer I should have just stayed asleep I thought It would have been much faster wait, I feel someone behind me, oh yes is someone going to save me “Hold tight”I heard I try to turn to look but the pain of my neck wouldn’t allow it I thought what would I do if I got outta here I close my eyes and before you knew it I was free falling, looking down at my end with my eyes wide open.
For a moment I thought we would end up in the sunset together. We both made promises and vowed this connection would last forever. I was blind and I wasn’t reading between the lines. The mindset of a player Some will say that’s what made her I got lost in my thoughts thinking of you daily It wasn’t just all me your actions is what made me I know you still think of me I just got tired of laying on wet sheets I am going on with a broken heart and pen to write my thoughts I tried, I fought But not this time, this time you are being left behind.
“HEY, STOP RIGHT THERE!” Yelled the policemen pointing his gun at the 13 year old, who appears to be half awake. She wipes her eyes. She is a black girl, with corn rolls in her hair. She wipes her eyes and can see the red, blue and red flashing lights. It blurry, but she sees guns being pointed at her, that’s when she begins to panic.
“Don’t you move” said the policeman
Aku stands still looking at them. She begins to growl.
“I am going to come towards you, so don’t move”
Aku hands begin to crackle and morph with her veins moving under her skin like earthworms.
She growls louder, showing her sharp teeth and dark eyes.
A gun pops off Aku runs in the backyard of her next door neighbor.
