He stops He becomes short of air His hands start shaking as he thinks about what to do HE SEES IT! A long stick, Very slowly, He grabs it And right as his trembling fingers grip the base of the branch BARK! The wolves charge. Thinking quickly he dodges the first The second comes in for the kill He swings BOOM! The branch snaps on the wolves face With two still coming He has no choice but to run He runs as fast and as long as he can HE SEES IT! A highway! He runs right into the middle No cars. So he goes to the other side and awaits his fate As the three wolves run at him They get to the middle of the highway SPLAT! All he sees is red lights And a poof of red smoke ITS A CAR! He hops in with no words Tells the driver to continue on And as he drives away He turns around and sees two pairs of gleaming eyes They will get him.
As I walk, My feet rub against the brush Walking at ease, at peace No rush As I breathe In and out I see the smoke all around As I blink I feel the cold between my eyes The corners start to tear And I appear to cry As I’m walking I don’t know it’s there But there’s a journey to unfold Fair and unfair This cold humid place seems eerie But I’m a tower a tyrant And all of nature fears me As I walk I hear the thumps and slaps of my soles Only thing motivating me is my will and my soul Another journey to uncover I must see I must feel I must hear I must breathe I must blink As I walk
Even the dead tell stories I remember a time when life was pure and bliss Until my grandmother passed away and it brought immense darkness The fear and confusion that I had without her made me quiet Time sand time again I tried and tried to deny it But deep down I knew that she was really gone And I knew I’d never hear her voice or her song But one night I couldn’t sleep I couldn’t close my eyes Little did I know I was in for a surprise See my grandmothers kitchen Was always lively It’s where the family always met and ate And loved each other kindly So when I heard the light turn on I had to see what was And what i found was not what I expected I went to turn the light out Because nothing was there But before I pulled the chain I heard the scooting of a chair I jumped back and gave a gasp I almost gave a yelp like no other Because When I turned and looked at the chair I saw my grandmother So I started asking questions and she quickly swiftly hushed me She said i don’t have too much time I just need you to trust me I said ok and she began To tell me something grand Of life after life existing And saying god understand I started talking more and she said she had to go I said wait what does it all mean She said one day you’ll know So after that moment I truly believed Although I still question one single thing Who left that dirty fork in the sink
As I leave the darkness of night The pins and needles of my pasty stay suspended as I move freer than ever With the light slowly getting closer I feel a warmth as if I’ve climbed inside the sun The joy and peace almost silences the sadness and chaos I’m seeking to escape This place is green and flourished And the sun shines brightly Feels like when I was a baby and my mother held me tightly
