Found

I don’t want to be

The one finding

I want to

Be found

I don’t want to be the one

To start conversations

I want to be

In included

It’s a weird thing to say

But I think everyone needs that

We’re all finding

But sometimes we’re the ones

Who need to be found

It will help a person

And their morals

And maybe have them

Value their life a little more

Cause it helped clean something

Relapse

Congratulations you’re clean

But you never are, are you?

Never holding back from a though to cut

Or an urge to do it once more.

The longer you wait the faster the clock ticks

Ringing when you’ll relapse.

The fate of stopping never crosses your path

Just the image of being able to,

but not wanting to.

Being clean is just a mindset right?

Relapse until it’s right.

Relapse until you’re clean.

Relaps...

Out of my life, to the wind

It’s spring cleaning day....

Andromeda

Destined for the deepest blue,

Cassiopea did rue.

The boast she cawed,

of your beauty recalled.

Poseidon brought forth a monster,

to ravage sand and sea.

To the oracles did Cepheus flee,

given no choice but to sacrifice her.

His kingdom will be restored,

in this ultimate accord.

Chained to a rock she was,

Andromeda a just-cause.

Clean Impressions

Peel off my dress

Clean up my mess

Water down my words

Brush off my hurts

Soap for my mouth

Can’t say nothing foul

Combs for my hair

With teeth that rip and tear

Sent to the showers

With one mean glower

Towels to cover

Whatever’s leftover

Supposed to be clean

But fingerprints unseen

Leave marks all over

Me...

Clear

I cleared my room.

Normally I’d wait for it to be almost impossible to travel without stepping on something.

Endless amounts of trash fill the floor.

Everyone thinks is is “not that hard” to just clean.

Don’t you dare say it is “easy” because it’s not.

How can I just put things away without finishing?

Everything needs to be finished before I clean it up!

Cleansing

maybe it’s better to cleanse my life

or rather lie about it.

Ritual of Rain

Let it fall—
the sky unfastening its grief,
drop by drop,
onto the shoulders of the earth.

Cleansing isn’t always soft.
Sometimes it scrubs with salt,
peels you down
to what the pain left shining.

The river knows.
It doesn’t cling to what it carries—
it holds, it moves,
it lets go.

So let the storm come.
Let the winds unmake you
so you can gather yourself again,
cleaner, clearer,
a little more tru...

Old Flame

When the end makes itself known

Don’t fuss and let it pass you by

Cast the old notebooks into fire

Don’t grasp the ashes as they fly

What once served you did its part

What once nurtured you was true

Memories may flicker like a pulse

Still stoking and enticing you

All that begins expects an end

The art is knowing when to let go

Let the smoke clear from your eyes

Breathe in, and welcome a...
