Signs

“We will not be silenced!” They chanted

“We want justice!” They scream

They want everything to end

They want what is wrong with the world to stop

But in the way they do it…

It’s not right

Riots, violence, guns

All of it is wrong

Just like you can’t fight fire with fire and expect to put it out…

You can’t fight violence with violence and expect to put...

From mind to mouth

My thoughts congeal into words

And fall to a plate

Only to be stuffed down your throat

So that you might feed on our cries

And know that in our hunger

We are never satiated...

We will not be silent for the others

For the others fight for control

We will not give them the satisfaction

Of giving away our souls

It’s bad enough they have all the money

They have more then they will ever need

They can live on high hills with high horses

With nose’s turned up to our needs

We will not be silent for the others

We will not go without o...

We will not be silenced!

We will be heard.
