Name: Wild Kids
Sientific term: Homo enfantei wildosa Pronunciation: home-oh an-fahn-tay wild-oh-sah
Description: grown wild kids have the appearance of a thirteen year old, with hair and skin colour ranging as differently as humans’, about four to five feet tall and with tails. They wear clothes of animal fur and are known to carry weapons such as bows, arrows, daggers and slingshots. They travel in packs. Wild kids over the age of ten are known to turn into a variety of animals, depending on the kid.
History: Wild Kids were created by Mother Nature as a way to link mankind and the animal kingdom. This was when humans were drifting away from their hunter-gatherer ways, like in ancient times. Mother Nature, in an attempt to rebond the two sides, went down to the Earth and sat on a rock. Using clay, she sculpted the very first Wild Kids (see Myths, Legends, Gods and Rituals) as a picture of innocence, bonding and togetherness between humans and the rest of animal kind. But her plan didn’t work. The children were turned away by the human race. The leaders of the ancient world called them ‘tainted’ and ‘impure’, the ‘spawn of the devil, from beast and human who is treacherous to our race’. They used the Wild Kids as an excuse to get rid of the people they didn’t like, claiming they were treacherous and had ‘bonded with wild creatures like no human should ever!’. Then they ousted them into the woods. The wild kids were also forced to flee mankind, though they were happy to. The men encouraged all who came across those ‘foul filthy animals’, aka the wild kids, to kill them. This stuck with humans for hundreds of years, and now, even with the evil leaders gone, humanity still despises the connection Mother Nature has made betweeen them and the animals.
Myths, Legends, Rituals and Gods: The wild kids worship Mother Earth, their patron. They also revere the First Children, Mother Earth’s first wild kids, who live for as long as the Wild Kids are not extinct. They are not as godly as their mother, but they are still respected as the wise elders of the tribes. Know the turning I told you about? They have a whole ceremony on the first day of summer, where all the Wild Kids gather in a gargantuan clearing in the woods, which has a huge boulder in it. The children who are Turning transform into their animals on that rock. The stone is the place where Mother Nature is said to have created the Wild Kids, so they find it sacred.
Diets and Daily Lifestyle: the Wild Kids live in packs, as I have said before. They have different positions and roles, and the young are much protected and supported. There are hunters, some healers, foragers, babysitters for when the older Wild Kids are out, and, of course, there is a Chief and Chiefess. They are the leaders and are responsible making a new batch of kids every few years. They do this by praying to Mother Nature, who gifts them with the babies, leaving them in the leaders tent.
Young Wild Kids: I know it seems silly. Yeah, I know. Young Wild Kids? What’s the point? I mean like, really young. Like babies and toddlers. There are five stages before a child in a Wild Kid clan can become a True Wild Kid. There are the Calves, children who are ages 0 to 3, Colts, ages 4 to 6, Cobras, ages 7 to 9, the Turners, (10) those who are Turning that year, and finally the Apprentices (ages 11-12). The Turners spend their time learning all about being a true Wild Kid and go through severe training to be ready for when they are put into a position in the tribe. When they have completed the training they Turn, and become apprentices. When they turn thirteen, they move on from apprentices and become regular members of the clan, doing their job and being thirteen years old physically, until they turn ninety mentally. Then they become the animal they often turned into and live a normal animal life before transitioning back into a new wild kid.
He looks like a Scandinavian Gypsy. With twin tail, under the beanie hat. His red flannel shirt waves along his long stride when walking, sleeves roll up to the elbow, revealing tattoos of fishes and octopus. His shirt has a Mickey Mike half hidden under the belly. His jean is a bit ripped, but manage to looks like the most expensive out of all his outfits.
His shoes? I don’t see it. Nor does he need it.
He floats around.
His power?
He can call anything “bro, brother” and anything alike in any language, and instantly become friend with that thing.
I saw him call the Earth his brother once…
Doubt (dowt) mythical English creature, half purposeful, half anxious.
Doubtful, doubts were said to have huge appetites, but little interest in pronouns or prepositions, believing them to be constructs of their human suppressors
In fairness, they also knew that humans who tried to suppress doubts very rarely succeeded.
Doubtless, describing a situation where a either no doubts remained, or possibly one fewer, for example, “One doubtless..”
Mrs Doubtfire was a mass murderer and arsonist, there, I’ve said it.
Doubting, patois for being like a doubt.
Doubts were thought to be extinct, but in the morning they always returned.
Water dwelling humanoids -
NIXE- Description – The Nixe are an intelligent species of fresh water dwelling humanoid. A humaniod upper half, merges with the tail of an aquatic mammal. They have gills located at the neck, that continues down each flank. The Nixe are usually between 2-3 meters in length, including the tail. The tail is scaled, and dully coloured, these colours tend to get more intense at the onset of mating season, often transforming from muted browns and greens, to a dramatic red or blue colouration. The Nixe are unique among aquatic mammals, as they have a large dorsal fin, that runs along the spine. This fin is brightly coloured, often in hues of red and blue, these marking become luminescent during the breeding season. Their fingers are webbed, making it easy for them to reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour through the water. Their hair is often a green or brown colouration to simulate algae, this is thought to be a camouflage adaptation. The eyes of the Nixe are huge, rounded, and mostly black, to allow better light filtration in dark or murky waters. Their skin is usually a pale grey or silver, with a scaled texture. Juvenile Nixe, will have more muted colouration, as well as spotted markings to help them camouflage on the lakebed. Nixe grow fast, often reaching sexual maturity at around 5 years old. Where their juvenile markings fade and their adult markings and colours present. Behaviour – As a matriarchal society, the Nixe live in small family groups under a dominant female, her markings are more pronounced, and her colours will be brighter and more flashy than the lesser females and the males of the species. The Nixe have sweet dispositions and are easily swayed by shinny objects. They have also been known for saving drowning victims in their lakes. The Nixe are attracted to fishermen and often follow the boats, feeding on the fish that slip through the fisherman’s nets. They can feed on both fish and plant matter in the lake, making them omnivorous. During the mating season, the Nixe will grow limb-like structures, allowing them to leave the water for short durations. This allows them to find a mate or a new territory in another body of water. These migrations often occur during rainstorms, preventing the Nixe from drying out and suffocating on land. The breeding season occurs once every 3 years, marked not only by the migration, but also infighting among the females to establish their dominance. Juveniles are looked after by the males, on the lake bed. Allowing the females to hunt and gather for the tribe. Skills and uses – The Nixe are said to have the ability to foresee the future. The eyes of the Nixe are used by oracles for a better read of future events, where the scales are used as fishing lures. The meat of the Nixe is served raw and tastes tangy with a strong smell of hyacinths. Although the sale of nixe meat has been made illegal in recent years due to a decline in the population. MERMAIDS- Description – Similar to the Nixe, Mermaids are their saltwater counterparts, they are the evolutionary ancestor of the Nixe. Mermaids are much brighter in colouration, often marked with golds and reds all year round. The eyes are bigger than their freshwater counters, and they lack the dorsal fin. Skin tone ranges from gold to bronze, their hair usually in shades of red, orange, even purple. The tail is longer than a Nixe tail, more fanned and fancier. Mermaids are a patriarchy, the tribes are usually large, with multiple families living together. They prefer to live in under-sea caves and caverns. They are obligate carnivores, tending to eat fish and aquatic mammals. The mermaids tend to have similar scaled skin as the Nixe, their scales are larger and more armoured. Mermaids are also larger overall. Between 3-4 meter in length, although the record for the biggest mermaid catch, was 5.6 meters in length. Juveniles usually appear darker, almost black, the females tend to them in the caves until, they reach maturity at around 8 years old. Breeding season occurs once a year during the spring equinox, the season usually results in fighting and deadly behaviour, causing several to wash ashore, injured or dead. Behaviour – Mermaids are vicious creatures, defending their territory with violence. Any ship travelling through the territory will be attacked and harassed until it leaves. Fishing vessels are advised to steer clear of those areas. As a patriarchy the tribes are usually extremely violent and caution must be taken if travelling through their seas. It is said that the Mermaids song is a harbinger of catastrophic storms, anyone that hears the call of the Mermaid should take heed and get to a safe location as soon as able. A war-like people, the Mermaids are known to drown their victims, carrying the bodies down in to the depths. Not much else is known of them. Skills and uses – The tail of a Mermaid is sometimes nailed to the helm of a ship in order to ward other Mermaids away, and the hair is often made into an amulet to ward off evil spirits. The meat of the Mermaid, is unpalatable, with a heavy salted taste.

Name: Vox

Nobody knows who she is or where she comes from. She doesn't speak of a name or a home far away.
All they know is she doesn't look away from your eyes. No matter who you are or what you do, she raises her chin and looks.
Many people make the mistake of letting her. They do not know that with every second she looks, she learns something new about you. She knows everything you are and everything you have been long before 60 seconds pass.
She is the one who knows all. A wise raven walking amongst unintelligent crows whom she feasts on the corpses of. A goddess of death and wisdom, with a curtain of dark chocolate locks cascading down her back.
Many people do not believe in the legend of this girl, especially when they learn she appears in the form of a child no older than 6. So, of course, they do not know how to survive her.
But do not fear… for I, Professor Wigglebottom, shall reveal the key.
The key… is HER eyes. Those majestic orbs that mimic that of an iridescent opal show you everything, just as your orbs show her everything. Do not try to find truth in her words. For she will protect her peace no matter the cost, and she speaks little enough as it is. Look into her eyes.
If more red appears in her eyes, she fears you. Walk away peacefully, and she will not try to docile the threat. If more green appears, it is not as good as you think. She is jealous of you; she does not like you. You will not die, but you will lose everything. Gold and yellow are good. You do not need to do anything; you need not know what it means. Purple is the colour of royalty. If you see this colour in her eyes, she admires you. You have her favour. However, this favour grants you a whole new meaning to expectations you've never imagined before. She looks up to no one and loves only one. If you are perfect enough to be granted purple, you shall remain that perfect, or she will be very disappointed. The last colour… orange. Orange is happy and excited, and it's beautiful. However, tis also the colour of fire. If you look into her eyes and see an orange light hovering above opal white orbs… orange light shall be the last thing you see.
Now, at this point, my dear readers are probably saying two things. One: “This is getting so long, Professor! Speed it up!” And two: “But you said it was a mistake to look into her eyes. Now, we have to look into her eyes to survive? But for half of the colours, there’s nothing we can do?!”
Yes, yes. I know it is complicated. But it is how pain works, is it not? Is it not long, contradicting, complicated, and brings you to the point that half of the time, there is nothing you can do? We only have so much information on this poor girl, but circumstantial evidence suggests that despite her appearance, she’s lived much longer than you and I. What do you think has happened in that time?
Anyway, that's enough of this. I, Professor Wigglebottom, understand you students enjoy only short lessons and entries. So, I shall wrap it up!
Nobody knows who she is or where she comes from. But they call her Opia, and she is where your pain dwells.
(Not a creature but eh.)
