It was Christmas Eve when we just got back from my grandparents house. There was loads of lights on my home, inside and out. Before I could go in my mom and dad said they had a surprise for me, and that I had to wait outside while they got it ready. I was so excited, when they got inside i did a little happy dance. All of the sudden I heard a loud noise come from inside, and a scream. I looked up to see what was happening but everything looked normal. Until the entire house burst into flames. I cried for them to come out, but no one answered, I ran to the neighbors house and begged them to help. They called the police and took me inside to help me more. When the paramedics arrived they said that my parents weren’t able to be saved…Worst… Christmas…Ever
Christmas used to be so full of smiles and everyone talking and laughing; Everyone was happy and together.
But now I wonder if we’re going to have any part of that; I wonder if I’ll have anything to resemble what it once was.
My father is in another country, my brother Jayden drove his motorcycle to another state and didn’t look back, my brother Asher is trying to find something in the world that isn’t as wrecked as our home has become, and our aunt doesn’t want her children to experience what we have so she won’t be coming back.
I sit alone in my room and wonder if they’ve all forgotten about me: the one still stuck in this house until I’m grown up, the one that isn’t able to escape yet, the one who has a month of everyone at school talking while she sits in silence, dreading the season.
I just want one of my brothers back. But my parents have driven them away, from the moment they corrupted our house, and now I don’t have a real family anymore. That means a lot of things, but in this season it means I’m alone for Christmas. And there is not one person willing to come back for me. Since they all escaped.
Oh, what a special time of the year! You get many presents and you always cheer. But sometimes we forget what it is really about. The birth of our Savior who died on the Cross.
Sometimes we forget that we should give. Sometimes we forget…maybe others don’t have a place to stay for the holidays. We need to remember what this holiday is about.
Spending time with loved ones before they pass. Who knows? It may be their last. We need to remember the Man upstairs who has a heart of gold and a joyful soul.
Now, that’s not to say we should forget the food on the table. We just just shouldn’t forget…the real reason to having a colorful, cheerful Christmas.
In a small village nestled in snowy mountains, Emma found herself alone on Christmas Eve, having lost her way in the forest.
Just as the cold began to seep through her clothes, she stumbled upon a cozy cabin, the warm glow of its hearth visible through frosted windows.
An elderly couple welcomed her in, offering hot cocoa and a place by the fire.
As they shared stories, Emma realized they were the parents of a soldier she had known who had passed away in the war.
That night, they decorated a humble tree with handmade ornaments, each representing a memory of their son.
Emma sang carols, her voice filling the cabin with warmth and hope.
The bond they formed brought solace and joy, reminding them that even in loss, there was room for love and new beginnings.
The next morning, as Emma prepared to leave, she promised to visit every year, ensuring that the spirit of Christmas remained bright in the little cabin.
As she stepped back into the snowy landscape, she felt her heart full of the true magic of Christmas.
Uncles and aunts, Grandfather and grandmother, As well as the parents, Siblings and friends, Gather for a feast.
Heaps of turkey, mountains of ham, Rivers of cranberry punch, Cases of Diet Coke, And so much more.
Small flames on the table, Little candles everywhere, A finger in the flames, Just a simple dare, To have some fun.
A little mistake, A tiny misunderstanding, A napkin in the candle, Dropped on the table, Now there’s fire everywhere.
Running and shouting, And fire putting outing, Tears on the face, Of the small child, And sighs of relief.

Christmas, I just love Christmas! This morning I wake up to everything I’ve wanted; Santa pulled through. Chuckles jingle through the air merrily and I can’t stop smiling. My whole family is here, what a wonderful surprise! Dinner and presents passed around, shared like an inside joke. Everyone loves, everyone laughs. I praise God for this day; I’m so very grateful. My little brother spills water everywhere, but when everyone laughs they’re laughing with him, not at him. The air seems to shimmer with the joy of everyone around; no one is burdened with stress or anxiety because today is a wonderful day. Christmas, I just love Christmas!
