“We said share scars not traumatic backstory!” Jackson says generally confused on what he just heard.

“Hey you asked,” Scarlett mumbled slumped down in the living room chair.

“Well- I- okay true-” Jackson starts sitting up with his arms on his knees. The couch cushion shifting.

Solomon hits his head with his cane.

“What the hell! How did you even know I moved?”

“We are sitting next to each other, on a couch. You dumbass.” Solomon says putting his cane down and Jackson rubs his head.

“Ugh okay Scarlett tell us about your spine again,” Jackson says trying to get his head wrapped around what happened.

Scarlett gets off the seat and sits between the two boys, Solomon wobbles a bit at the sudden change.

“My dad pulled out my real spine. Ms. Katherine found me and made a metal spine to put in my back. She altered it everytime I grew until I couldn't grow hence now.” Scarlett says leaning on Jackson.
