“I decided to take a walk through the forest today. Worst. Idea. Ever.
As I was walking along, I came across an old mirror. It had moss all over it. I think the outside of it was supposed to be gold, but it’s so rusty that it looks bronze. This was where I made my mistake. I walked over to it. When I reached it, all I saw was a demon. He mirrored whatever I did until I put my hand on it. He grabbed me, pulled me inside and killed me,” I told the angels.

Every night I wake up under the same crooked tree. It scares me a little Because it’s all I ever see.
The monster came With its dark eyes It looked right through my soul Even though the disguise.
Long hair sprouts from its back Light skin hides underneath the horrid fur. Razor like talons attached to its feet. This monster is a living nightmare.
Blood clings onto its teeth Bones laying beside the skin. I feel dizzy. My soul won’t come back in.
I try to roll up in a ball The monster just continues to stare. I think to myself, ‘How is this fair?’
As if reading my thoughts The monster looks from side to side. It gives me a sly grin That’s all I see before I die.

“Hello, mortal.” said Hades unemotionally.
The afterlife isn’t quite how I expected it. There is a giant palace made out of black obsidian. It’s winter so Queen Persephone will be here. It’s quite a shock to see that the Ancient Greeks were right about the afterlife, especially as a catholic. The place is dark.
“You will go that way to be judged for your life to see where you go.”
I followed where he was gazing at and my eyes lit up with both fear and excitement.
The room was - again - made of black obsidian but this time had rose quartz dotted all around it.
‘The rose quartz must’ve been Persephone’s idea,’ I thought.
“Yes, indeed, it was, although it’s ‘Queen Persephone’,” said Hades, reading my mind.
“Oh, didn’t you know the gods could do that? Well, now’s not a good time to ask questions.”
I felt my body being dragged along with nobody pulling me.
Now, it’s time for judgement…

I was on the swing when I heard a loud growling sound behind me. It sounded like 1,000,000 voices all tied together. There they were. The grim reaper. Their face was just a skull with no eyes. They wore a black cape covering where their hair would’ve been, if they had any. Their body was all skeleton - not an inch of flesh on it. The day turned into darkness upon seeing them, with the clouds covering all possible sunlight that could come through. I felt my soul being pulled towards them, like there was no escape. I quickly ran away from them - well, as quickly as you can with your soul being pulled away. I finally got home, panting from the running. That was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had!

She cried and laughed. She looked the other way. “I’ll leave now, Do you think I would stay?”
My heart shattered, My eyes are wet. I looked over She stole my pet.
“I don’t like you, Not one little bit.” “You’ll get what you deserve, I’ll make sure of it.”
(This is the first time I’ve ever done poetry and I know it’s not very good)

“Luna! Luna, somebody has been following me around all day!” said my annoying brother Leo. “Just ignore them, it’s probably just an accident. Anyway if it gets too serious just message me and I’ll phone the police,” I said. “No you don’t understand. They’ve shown up so every shop I’ve been to, outside of all of my friends houses while they were there and following me when I drive,” said Leo scared. “Fine, take this tracker. I can track you with it from my phone. If you press this button twice it sends a notification to my phone so I can check where you are,” I said.
The next day, when I got home from work at the cafe, he wasn’t home. “Leo! Leo, where are you!” I shouted. I looked all downstairs and upstairs and he was nowhere to be seen. “Leo, this isn’t funny! Come out now!” I shouted. Still no reply. I checked my phone to see his location. It said he was in my room. I went in and looked everywhere. Still not there. I decided to call his friend, Jake. “Hey Jake, this is Leo’s sister. Is he at yours? I can’t find him anywhere,” I asked. “No, but he might be at his girlfriends house,” he said. “Ok text me her number,” I said. “Ok and … Done!” said Jake. “Thanks I’ll call her now!” I said.
“Hey is this… Hope?” I asked “Yeah, who’s this?” Hope asked. “This is Leo’s sister Luna. I was just wondering if he was at yours? I can’t find him anywhere and yesterday he said somebody was following him,” I said. “No, but I’ll come over and help you look for him. I’ll be 10 minutes,” said Hope worriedly.
10 minutes later Hope arrived. “Have you called the police yet?” asked Hope. “No because it’s only been a few hours. If we still can’t find him tomorrow morning then I’ll phone them,” I said.
Me and Hope phoned all of Leo’s friends, but none of them had seen him.
A few years later the case was stopped, Hope doesn’t care and Jake moved to Spain. I’m the only one who still thinks he’s out there somewhere.

May loves swimming. One day, while she was in the pool, she saw some young kids in the deep end. She decided to go and tell to be careful. “Excuse me but why don’t you go and swim in the shallow end?” asked May. “We don’t want to,” they both said together.
A few minutes later, May heard screaming from the end of the the pool. It was one of the little boys. May swam as fast as she could to go to try and save him. Even if she couldn’t save him at least she could say she tried.
She dived down into the pool and got to the bottom. She grabbed hold of his wrist and swam to the surface. He still wasn’t breathing. As soon as she got him above water the little boy that was with him left.
The boy started choking on the water, but he was alive. “H-he did i-it,” said the boy still trying to breath. As soon as he said that the lifeguard ran after him and called the police. The little boy survived and got magic powers.

I went to go and climb the mountain, the one that nobody has ever successfully got to the top of. It’s rumoured to have an animal living at the top, waiting to kill whoever dares to go near it. I don’t believe this is true, there is no monster that could possibly kill somebody that gruesomely. So I started walking. I saw some weird things on the way up - trees with red stuff on, 6ft deep holes, dolls with no head on - but I just ignored them and kept walking. All of a sudden, I heard a growling noise. ‘There’s nothing there, there’s nothing there.’ I kept telling myself, even though I knew it wasn’t true. I’m sure that I saw something running in the trees a couple of times. It’s probably just birds flying really quickly. The next time I looked in the trees, I stopped dead in my tracks. There was a monster waiting in the trees. It looked like an oversized rat with the tail of a horse and the face of a dog. It had eyes smaller than a strawberry. It was fur-less and had midnight black skin. This thing was obviously not human. Then it starts running at me. It knocked me over onto the floor, so I just played dead. If I get up it will probably kill me. A few hours later it is gone. I got up and ran as quickly as I can down the mountain.
