The dreadful night i came home early and my best friend and my husband and the father of my children were in bed together. All ether one could say was it just happened we never meant to hurt you. I left out of the room crying got my twin out of bed called my mom and went to her house. What was I gonna do? Where do I go? Do i forgive them maybe it just was a mistake. `The next morning i go home to get the kids ready for school sp they just think we spend the night at maamw and papaws house. I get home thinking she would not be there and her and my so called husband was in bed still together and my daughter Lilly comes crying to me why is daddy and tan tan in bed togther that is you amd daddys bed. I get her calmed down for school and get jack my son are now on the bus. I go upstairs and wake them both up. I’m not showing any emotion now because i was just thinking that it was just a mistake becausee I had beem working alot and he was lonely. So now I have them both awake Josh is trying to calm me down and it”s not working she is my best friend josh since we were babies. You slept with her. Montana I thought you had more respect for me we have been friends for 20+ years and my husband. Do yall wanna be together? Do yall love each other? The response that came out of their mouths so soon had me feeling in disbeleaf. How could they love each other? How long has this been going on? Josh said its been going on for about a month you were working alot we was not acting like husband and wife. So I found comfart in her and it built into more. He said sorry she also said sorry i slapped them both and told them to get the hell out. Went to court few months later got full custody of lilly and jack because they father did not get and job he went back home to his parents two hours away. Then as for montana I told her she was dead to me. Now here we are ten years later im remarried two more babies Sophia and Carter. Lilly and jack are now sixteen years old. One monday morning getting all my kids off to school someone knocks on my door I open it t find montana standing there. Can we talk please I know its been years. You give me another chance please tina I want us back. I said okay friday lunch at Cara Cafe. Tuesday evening I talk to nathan my husband about montana coming to the house yesterday morning about wanting to meet for lunch friday. I think im gonnago what doo you think? I mean it has been ten years. Nathan said go just hear her out then make your decision on what your gonna do from there. Whatever you decision i will support you no matter what. Friday afternoon we meet at Cara Cafe and I ask her what do you want from this because I am not gonna trust you like this never happened before. She apologizes For hurting me and for evening thinking about my ex in that way and taking my kids dad away from them. She goes on to say she need her friend more then she need any man. Were not together we did not even last 3 months after you lefft he didnt do anything but drink and sleep and eat. So i broke it off. The ball is in your court. Two weeks later I call her and invite her and her hubby and son to dinner and we had a good night and she ges to meet my two youngest Sophia and carter. Lilly didnt want to speak to her. She had her own feelings because she seen them in bed togther back then. Jack did not care thinks of nathan as his dad so everything was good in his court. Sophia and carter are tqo years old now and her baby boy is two as well. So are kids now can grow up like we did as kids and grow bonds like no other and no mistakes will happen but everyone mkaes mistakes and you can forgive them. Now every week we have dinner our two families combanded together and lilly forgave montana. So all is well and going great. Remember you can make a small mistake or a big one but once you realize that you hurt someone you love and have been a big part of there life and same in yours you miss them and will do anything and evrything to have your best friend back

how your lips would feel on mine.
if you kissed me… would it be a soft brush… or a sincere deepened one?
would your lips be chapped? I wouldn’t mind. as long as it’s a kiss from you.
if you kiss me… would you pull me in by my waist… or cup my face… or just lean in toward me?
i’m imagining

Would not believe it, not a word, it's fancy If yesterday someone tried in case To tell, that after years were spend in travel You will come back and tug in your embrace
You look anew, long hair – and now it's braided, Black and white in clothing, like before And shining smile with freckles-constellations So hi, my friend, you are welcomed home
I have new stories, and new songs that we can listen You're laughing quietly and pointing out the change And while I mumble in my true and free excitement You look at me instead of stars and space
It's not a play of doll and its big house I know what's all of this about I know your manners, and your secret goal So I will play it by my home-made role
Let's write a letter, past of true First line with "L", the last with "U" And you will smile at hidden clue, Just pull me closer, laugh "it's true!"
"Let's dance, colors bold and bright Under stars and rain, moonlight, Vibrant hail of outer, sober and so sweet United by the water, stepping in a bit"
We are still young, though ten years have passed Such childish games, and I still know, it said by heart, The hidden messages in these words will not stand out It doesn't matter, play along, you're here and found
A sprinkle of pixie dust, a five letter word, and a little bit of hope can change someone's life. At least it did mine. You see, I was friends with this one girl, Helen. She taught me some bad stuff, like witch magic. I have ever only known glitter magic, but of course I never had access to it. That was, until Helen got some (or so I thought).
"Quick! Sprinkle some dust on my head. Oh, and then it says to say 'Magic'. Wait! I have to say it first!"
"Ok Helen"
"Magic, I hope to be a dog!"
"Magic!"
My face drained its color when Helen actually turned into a dog.
"Helen..?"
"Yip!"
"Helen..!?"
"Bark!"
I took her to a dog rescue center and never saw her again. That was until now. You are Helen. So long time no see, friend! Oh wait, you can't understand me, you're a dog!
Oh! And since your here, Helen, you should like my new prompt for this weeks competition!
Great job, Helen.
The whole isle was pink and filled with Disney Princess's merchandise, from dolls, coloring books, school supplies, dresses to.... power tools? Dana held the plastic purple saw with one hand and took a quick picture of it with the other hand. Ariel and Moana were making kissy faces on each side of the saw while hearts flew the pink void on the handle. Although this saw could probably barely cut a piece of melted butter, Dana knew her audience would laugh at the idea of Disney Princess saws.
She chuckled to herself as she put the saw on the shelf, her ears hearing a mom and her complaining daughter join her in the isle. It was her least favorite thing, whenever actual kids where around whenever she's doing research for her videos. The parents and children would stare at this random 26 woman who's obviously shopping for herself. She'll wish she could shout at them that she's doing research for a 1:45 long TikTok but that'll probably make her seem even weirder.
Dana thought about it quickly and then decided to grab the saw alongside two new coloring books and head out. She heard the kid whine about wanting to go to the park instead when she accidentally ran into her frustrated mom.
Dana felt her back knock into Minnie Mouse plushies on display. When she opened her eyes again she saw the girl covering her mouth while her mother lay over a bunch of Cinderella and Aurora dresses.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" said Dana and rushed to help the mother stand up. With the help of the little girl, the mother was on her feet laughing in no time. She had thick short brown hair that she pushed back to reveal a gummy smile and a freckled tan skin. Her eyes were black and the little lights in them danced around while she laughed.
"Are you alright?" Dana asked the woman, smiling and looking between the mother and daughter. The girl had silky black hair that she styled in a ponytail and wore a jean jacket with a pink shirt underneath. Her mother was in a dark green sundress and a matching jacket.
"I'm alright," said the woman in a raspy voice that hit a certain part of Dana's brain like a bus.
Suddenly the woman's face came into sharp focus, her hear wide lips, the shape of freckles around the cheekbones, the bits of her dark hair showing through the roots.... "Miriam?"
The woman's face fell for a second before she grinned.
"What's happening?" asked the girl.
"Janet, this is Dana," said the wo- no, Miriam, to the confused girl, "she and i were best friends when we were kids."
Before Dana could know what was happening, she found herself sitting on a bench outside the mall next to Miriam. Miriam had brought the three of them ice creams before her daughter Janet left running to the park facing the mall.
Dana starred into the vanilla ice cream melting into her hand in the summer heat. Her grey sneakers fidgeted nervously next to Miriam's static black Mary Janes.
"How's life treating you?"
"huh?" Dana looked up confused. Miriam smiled a gummy smile and it made Dana flush.
"I'm doing fine, I'm happy," said Dana looking at the melted vanilla in disgust before tossing it into the trash can.. She supposed she had to ask Miriam about her life too. "What about you?"
"I'm fine too," Miriam replied and looked down on her melted strawberry ice cream. "What job do you have nowadays?"
Dana's flushed harder. It's not like she's ashamed of being a "full time content creator" but it's really hard to explain. "It's hard to explain."
Miriam snorted.
"Try me."
"I make videos about various media and upload them to YouTube and TikTok" Dana blurted out and braced herself for the questioning.
"Wow, videos on TikTok... And YouTube," Miriam beamed and Dana deflated she felt mocked. "Fascinating."
"Well they get a lot of views, and i get sponsors too." Dana quickly added, "i make a decent amount."
"You said you make videos on 'various topics', can you give me examples?"
"I made a couple popular videos on Bridgerton, the show and books. And let me think.... I made some about other shows, books and movies. YouTube loves these types of content."
"I'm sure." Said Miriam and played around with her ice cream, "and you make TikTok vidoes too?"
Dana nodded. She didn't want to keep talking about herself, or the TikTok videos she makes ranting about Disney princesses. She looked straight ahead at Janet playing with friends in the park.
"Are you and Blaine together?"
Miriam froze while licking the melted strawberry on her fingers. She threw the ice cream in the trash, pulled a couple of tissues from her hand bag. Dana accepted the one given to her and starred at her former best friend waitingly.
Miriam just sighed and cleaned her fingers. Dana groaned.
"Come on, we have to talk about it," said Dana trying to meet Miriam's eyes, "besides i should be the one still too hurt to wanna bring it up, but I'm not. It's been 10 years and we moved on."
"Yes we're still together," said Miriam still not meeting Dana's eyes. "And this isn't me trying to argue, but you weren't the only one hurt 10 years ago. I'm glad you are emotionally over the whole thing now, but to be honest I'm still not."
Dana felt her eyes sting and looked down at her sneakers, she saw some of Miriam's strawberry ice cream had melted on them. She had to remember to clean them when she gets home, after she cleans her clothes and sticky fingers too. Ice cream in summer, what a dumb idea.
"To be honest I'm not totally over the hurt," admitted Dana, "i mean, the things i said, how we left things on... i think about it from time to time."
"You know that i didn't know it was him in that stupid Luigi costume at the party," said Miriam earnestly and Dana threw her had back laughing and Miriam joined. "I can't believe our friendship was destroyed because i couldn't differentiate between a Mario and a Luigi."
"Because drunk Cinderella and Luigi fucked at my hallowed party, when i told her to go for Mario," said Dana, trying to catch her breathe, "i wasn't even dating Blaine, we had a science project together but it seemed like it meant we were married. Everything seems more serious when you're a teenager."
Miriam smiled and starred at her daughter in the park.
"That stupid hookup changed my life, i had Janet and Blaine and i lost you."
Dana looked at Janet too.
"I'm sorry."
"We were kids," said Miriam.
"I know. I should've been there for you after we found out you were pregnant."
"You were a kid." Miriam repeated and sighed, "so... You make TikToks?"
They snorted together.
"Don't mock me!"
"I'm not! I'm just interested to know more." said Miriam, "what are your most popular videos about?"
"Okay! I make videos discussing Disney Princesses!" Dana half shouted like she was confessing to a murder.
Miriam's smile widened.
"God we were obsessed with the Princesses when we were younger," said Dana recalling movie nights, trips to Disney Land and that cursed party were they dressed as Snow white and Cinderella, "probably the only teens who were."
"I couldn't get Janet to be interested in them," Miriam admitted, "she's more of a play at the park kinda gal."
"Touching grass, how dare she."
"Actually, i think i might've seen some of your little TikToks," said Miriam while looking at Janet.
Dana squinted her eyes.
"What do you mean you've seen my TikToks?"
Miriam still pretended to be too focused on Janet.
"You know, when i search about Disney Princesses, you may show up."
"Oh," said Dana. Of course.
"You mean the videos where i say from which mall do i buy the merchandise?"
"You shouldn't do that by the way," said Miriam while checking her polished nails, "what if you have some type of sicko stalker."
"I think i do have a stalker." replied Dana and snorted when Miriam looked up at her nervously.
"I'm not a stalker!" she protested "okay, i might've decided to check out this mall because i hear you mention it in a lot of your videos but-"
"You follow me on the app, don't you?" laughed Dana.
Miriam didn't try to deny it.
"It's okay, i actually follow on Instagram with my secret private account." Dana admitted since she doesn't have to be the only one looking pathetic now.
"I guess you miss me too." said Miriam and slowly took Dana's hand in hers.
Dana nodded.
"Well, that means we gotta take each other's numbers instead of just stalking."
“bitch!” “no, you’re a bitch!” “oh my god, i hate you so much!” “I HATE YOU MORE” “YOU LEFT ME FOR HIM!” “NO, I DIDN’T! YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS CAUSE I HAVE A BOYFRIEND AND YOU DON’T” “I DON’T WANT A STUPID BOYFRIEND! I WANT MY BEST FRIEND BACK!” “you’re such a guilt tripping bitch.” __ __ and ten years later, seeing her walking down the grocery aisle, i still hate her all the same. my ex best friend who decided a boy was better than me. but i paste a smile on my face and wave, watching her eyes widen as she takes in who i am. i’m much prettier now. much prettier than i was in high school, anyway. my hips are more defined, my breast are bigger, and my face just holds so much maturity that hers clearly doesn’t. she’s gained a lot of weight. her hair is shoved in a messy bun and she’s wearing sweats. she grimaces a smile back at me and raises her hand. “harper, hi, how have you been?” “hey lucy. i’ve been…i’ve been thorough it these past few years” “oh what do you mean” my eyes trail her bloated stomach and soiled appearance. “im pregnant, lucy” “oh my god, congratulations!” that makes more sense. but harper doesn’t quite as happy as one should be. “the father is a drug addict who left me when he found out” “oh my god, harper i’m so sorry.” i’m at a loss for words. the most popular girl in our high school, knocked up and alone? “well how have you been, lucy?” “oh, i’ve been…um…” i didn’t want to talk about my company after that story. “it’s ok, you can go on” “okay well, i own a multimillion dollar pilates company.” harper didn’t speak. she just nodded her congrats to me and walked down the aisle to the cereals. popular girls in high school always end up worse off than the social outcasts.
“Hey.” Allie was smiling sadly. Erica looked up. “Hey!” She blinked. She hadn’t seen Allie in…nearly a decade. There was a moment of quiet. “So…it’s been a while,” Allie said. “What’s new?” Erica shrugged awkwardly. “I mean…I haven’t seen you since 8th grade. A lot’s happened.” Allie nodded. After a moment, Erica let out a breath. “Want to…go for a walk? I’m done with classes for today.” Allie nodded, relaxing. “Yeah. Yeah, a walk sounds great.” Erica stood up, grabbing her papers and shoving them into a bag. “So…” “So…” “What are you studying?” Erica asked. “Animal science,” Allie murmured. “I guess some dreams do come true.” Erica smiled. “That’s awesome. I’m so glad!” Allie smiled back. It wasn’t easy, or simple. Erica knew that. It wasn’t like it had been. But that didn’t seem to matter anymore; a lot can change in 8 years. “What about you?” Allie asked. “Still into English?” “Actually,” Erica said shyly, “I’m majoring in buisness. Some dreams take a while to figure out.” Her old friend nodded, and they lapsed into silence. It was awkward in a way it shouldn’t have been. Abruptly, Allie stopped walking. “Hey…you know I’m sorry, right? About what happened?” “Oh, Allie, it doesn’t matter. That was a long time ago.” “I know, I know, I just…I am. For so long I wasn’t. And you were right to hate me.” She laughed. “I was a pretty terrible person. So I’m sorry you had to know me then, and I hope that you can get to know me now.” Erica smiled. “All right.” After a moment of quiet, Allie pointed out a large tree. “Look,” she said. “A maple tree. Isn’t it beautiful?” Erica nodded slowly. “It’s funny. I walk past that tree every day. And today is the first time I’ve ever really noticed it.” “We overlook a lot of things, don’t we.” Erica laughed. “Yeah…we do. We really do. I’m glad you didn’t do it to me today. I’ve missed you.”
The snow fell in flurries, blanketing the air in silence and the cast iron gates less imposing covered in the soft white. The blacked out sedan, pulled up besides the gates, stopped and let out one of its passengers; Louisa Le Loup, Pierre's twin sister, dressed head to toe in furs as well as elegant knee high boots. Putting on some sunglasses, thinking there would be press, but no and given that the actress's last public appearance was at Pierre and Clara's wedding and she was expecting something. Nonetheless, she pulled the fur lined hood tight against her neck, she began to walk through the gate when Clara's voice cut through the silence:
"L, please don't forget his favorite drink"
Louisa turned to see Clara all teary eyed and blood shot, her arm extended out the car with a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka in her hand, Louisa plunked the bottle from her hand and Clara quickly shot the Door with a soft thud, the driver now had turned off the engine, leaving the car to sit idle collecting more snow.
Louisa was born minutes earlier than her brother, he the do-gooder savior of the world type, she the doing good by the public eye type, their relationship had never been perfect since their parents died and they only knew about each other's existence since then in a monumental argument. She continued up the path, shivering under her furs and her boots crunching the snow underfoot.
The argument was about Clara, who Louisa thought was beneath Pierre's station, she had shared this at their own wedding no less and had stormed out making a scene for the press and left no indication that she would back down on her thoughts. She smiled, a soft snowflake hitting and melting on her nose. She now cradled the bottle of alcohol making her way up the hill where he was.
The snow had started to ease off as she continued to make her way to the top of the hill, thoughts of what she was going to say started to form in her mind, her mouth forming the words but her heart making them heavy and the bottle suddenly becoming a deadweight. A sob escaping her lips as she reached the summit of the hill.
"hello brother", she mouthed.
Seeing his grave for the first time since his funeral was surreal, she nearly buckled under the pressure and weight of all the emotions that now flooded her heart. The snow stopped and a blue sky peered from behind the clouds. She knelt in front of his headstone, the magnitude of their shared history or the lack thereof crushed her, she opened the Vodka, took a swig, exhaled and placed the bottle atop his headstone.
Hood off, the stubbornness of her actions making her shake she grabbed the bottle again and downed a hefty swig.
"You weren't wrong, this is good stuff", a soft smile escaped as she gazed upon his name adorning the headstone. Then came the tears, not in a trickle but in a flood. Her knees shook as she leant against his stone.
"I am sorry, please forgive me"
"Of course he would", came a soft voice from behind her, which was Clara. Louisa stood up, Clara walked towards her, arms out and they embraced. Sobbing into Clara, Louisa felt a release and Clara held her tighter.
"You must forgive yourself first" said Clara softly, "otherwise you will carry this for the rest of your life and I know Pierre wouldn't want that and neither would you". Louisa nuzzled Clara deeply dropping the bottle of vodka in the snow.
"Thank you", she whispered.

Love You R
Becka’s hands started sweating, she wipes them on her new jeans she picked out yesterday. She doesn’t know why she feels the need to impress Kara, they used to be best friends. They used to have sleep overs, staying up way too late and eating so much junk food. They would share clothes and compare their bodies. People at school would ask if they were sisters for how similar they were. But that was over a decade ago, things are different now. Becka and Kara had an argument the week after graduating high school, she doesn’t even remember over what, but that was the end of their relationship. They stopped talking to each other, numbers were deleted, but the memories never forgotten. They were friends since they were five, from kindergarten to high school graduation they were inseparable. Even though they never spoke again, Becka watched Kara’s life through her Instagram. It hurt her heart to watch her best friend live her own life without her, but it would hurt her more if she knew nothing about her. It was almost time for their reservation and Becka’s nerves were a wreck. That was until Kara’s car pulled into the parking lot. The white Mercedes sparkling in the sun, she parks across from Becka’s black BMW, seems like their taste has changed a bit. Becka smiles, she knew her bestie has always wanted a Mercedes. She was so happy she got her dream car. Kara’s light brown hair blowing in the wind as she steps out of the car, she smiles at Becka when their eyes meet. She starts walking over to Kara, when Kara starts running towards her. Kara wraps her arms around her and squeals, “I have SO much to tell you!” And just like that, it was like they never stopped being friends.
As the once two former best friends reached the same gas station, they both thought one thing alike; they didn’t know if the person they would meet would be who they had been friends with ten years ago.
They had to separate because of the jobs that they had gotten. Austin moved to japan as a missionary, he made a family there and had been there till the previous year. Asher had stayed in America and built himself a business upon stocks.
They both pulled in at different times but within the same hour, for they had coordinated it. When Austin pulled in and parked he got out of his car, pulled out his phone and texted Asher.
‘Here, where are you?’
‘By the entrance of the gas station.
Getting out right now.’
Austin then heard a door slam behind him and he looked behind to see his best friend walk around their truck. Austin waved and walked torwards him not believing the moment.
Asher walked to him and they shared a massive hug, that lasted a couple minutes. When they let go, Austin spoke first.
“You’ve changed a lot,” they both started laughing. Asher was tall muscular unlike himself who was shorter than average. Asher was wearing a black tuxedo for in a couple of hours he had a meeting but after that he was free for a while. Austin wore beige jeans with a grey t-shirt on.
“Well, how’ve you been? How’s the familly? How’s the job!?” Asked Asher eager to know that had happened in his life. Austin told him eveything. His job, family, mental health issues, evrything, and so did Asher.
Eventually they had to go their separate ways again but they kept in touch and talked almost every month. They both realized that it had been too long and that they could not wait longer than a year to talk. Their friendship was like it was never before. Better than ever.
