WRITING OBSTACLE
Sanctuary. Elevate. Conscious.
In a story of no more than 10 lines, use these three words in any order. Try not to randomly throw them in, but think about a storyline that allows you to link them all naturally.

Here, conscious of my placement, I stand planted atop an outcrop of magnificent rock. "Elevate the body, elevate the mind." I recalled the words that had stumbled across me earlier that lifetime, a truth I had come to realise. I gazed upon the expanse below me, the vibration that beckoned to us drifters. The city. I decided to remain up here, for this is my sanctuary....
The first thing that I noticed was that I was conscious. The second was that my leg was killing me. I winced and elevated it. It was definitely broken. After sitting for a few minutes, I tried standing up. I was in an ancient sanctuary, will old stone walls covered in moss. Curiosity filled me and I made my way to a huge door. Curiosity killed the cat, a voice warned in my head. Well, I am not a c...
I’m conscious, confused, and I have
Nothing left to do. Other than worry
And hurry to not mess up. For if I do
The floor will undo, and pretty soon,
So will the moon.
I wish I could get out of this cell, and
Elevate high up to the sky, so I won’t
Have to keep finding a sanctuary, for
Safety, from this dark and shady life.

As I entered the ancient sanctuary, standing alone in the forest cloaked in darkness, my nerves began to calm. Ready as I could be for whatever might happen during the purifying ceremony and fully conscious of the fact that I could never go back to who I was before entering. I took a deep and powerful breath, steadied myself, and took the critical first step inside. Once through the threshold, I w...
Surrounded by my consciousness, not a single thought escapes.
Elevated into clouds so far away, my hand could never reach.
Reaching into a void of nothing, leaves me empty and forgotten.
My brain would fight to stay alive, yet my conscious induces me to die.
Never once have I felt this way, pain taking over my body.
Specs of dark spots flood my vision, but I insist my eyes to remain open.

Axel looked through the bars while trying not to wake his cell mate. He thought to himself “When I got here I swore to be better but not anymore, I had thought of this a a prison but it’s a sanctuary, a sanctuary from the real world. The real world is full of people with a conscious.., ha **conscious**, I meant conscious. This plan had made me feel small but now it just keeps elavating my self-est...
Juliette throws the last box into the back of the U-Haul with an obnoxious grunt then reaches up on her tip toes to yank down the rolling door. Clapping her hands together once the U-Haul is locked, she turns excitedly to me and cracks a wide grin.
“We need to hurry if we want to beat traffic and get back to the sanctuary before it gets dark.”
“Sanctuary?” I chuckle. “Is that what we’re calling o...
I gulped my final breath and floated into fluorescence.
Wondering into blinding light, I considered the irony.
I spent my entire career trying to avoid fluorescent light, which is an ugly corporate seal only to be engulfed in blinding light for all eternity.
God is so…merciful.
“WELCOME TO ARIA,” said a soft voice overhead, “a sanctuary where you can release your consciousness and elevate ...
Tryna find myself
But i’m trapped in someone else’s
Reflection
Mirroring a pause
Caused by my own selfish
Thoughts of being interacted
But it was because i was.
It was because you.
It was because we
Wasn’t ready for what
I dreamed for us to be but never
Look down on what we used to be
Because that feeling
That touch
Will never be overlooked on again
In thats on me.
