If your hand could reach my heart, what would you do with it?
How would you hold it? What might you do? If my heart, its fate were left just to you
Would it be gentle the touch that you give Might you, could you help me to live
If your hand could reach my heart Would it, could it, be something to start
Would you pull your hand back if I did the same Not the same reasons but others I’d name
Would you keep your grasp light and give with each beat Or tighten your grip until I’m down in defeat
I ask you this now before any more And more to my heart that’s been broken before
So long have I kept my heart under guard It’s time to let go it should not be this hard
If I let your hand reach my heart on this day Might you show me the same but in your own way
If at all we could try oh so slow and together And see what becomes on the road to forever
If your hand could reach inside my heart What would you do with it It’s a stupid question I know exactly what you would do You just wouldn’t want to say it to my face You would want to rip it right out No hesitation To be honest I’d do the same I love you as much as you love me
If your hand could reach inside my heart, what would you do with it? A question I ask you but fear the answer to. I’d hold it tight, but not for the reasons you think I would. I want to see the limits of your heart; will it still beat for me if I crush it between my fingers, would it hurt if I take a bite, will you squirm if I poke with a thousand needles? Or would it beat just as it always has?
If your hand could reach inside my heart, What would you do with it? Would you rip it from my chest And dance on it until every beat is a cry of agony?
Before you waltzed the waltz of insincere lovers, I believed in your actions—
You carried yourself gracefully. And I wanted to write you a melody That soothed your untamed soul.
But you found another partner Twenty minutes into the ball And left me to dance with myself.
If your hand could reach inside my heart, What would you do with it? Would you pluck the strings As if I were a harp, Or would you mend the broken parts? How would you go about the deed? Would you rip it out in one peice? Or shred it into billions? Would you add love and light? Or would you burst it with a sudden pop? Could you would you take carrots of my heart? Or would you neglect it and leave it in the dark? Let me ask, Would you hurt it? Or would you heal it? Would you hurt me? Or would you heal me? Would you kiss my heart and restore its hope? Or would you give it enough strength to push on? Would you, could you, fix my heart? Please? Just for me? Would you throw my heart away, and find another heart? Or would you love my heart forever? Would you tell my heart stories and secrets? Or would yoh embelish and lie? Would you sing songs and tell tales? Or would you scream and fight. My heart is so fragile, So please be very careful. But I need to ask. If your hand clukd reach inside my heart, what would you do with it?

Why do you hold a knife so close Does it mean anything to you.
A heart in need of a bandage Yet you'd leave me stranded.
What does it take to Gain from you? But I guess Cupid’s cry too?
I was hoping you’d maybe think “a kiss” To make it better.
You bring a match to light, Knowing we’re far from sweater weather.
“I'm the problem” you say.
Then leave, In a careful sway.
But you won’t.
I knew that anyway.
If your hand could reach inside my heart, what would you do with it?
Would you hold it gently and listen as it beats?
Or would you tear it roughly apart?
Feel the outline of your name engraved on my heart.
Does it sound like you?
Does it feel like you?
Does it look like you?
Won't you keep my heart in your hand?
Don't you know?
My heart is yours, after all.
If your hand could reach inside my heart, what would you do with it? if i opened my walls and let you back in, would you break me again? i love you and i shouldn’t love you not after everything but is it so wrong to still want you, to still need and crave you, like an addiction left unsatisfied? i want to let you in, but how can i? why is it that after all the time i still can’t let you go?
