Beautiful Deadly
Your love is like an arrow laced with poison, I’ve ripped it from my heart, yet still it flows, Through my veins like deadly heroin, Tightening its grip around my soul.
Each beat is a reminder of the pain, A toxic rush that I cannot evade, Your love, a poison coursing through my veins, Leaving scars upon the heart that it invades.
Yet still, I ache for your forbidden touch, A masochistic dance, a deadly game, For even though your love may bring me harm, I cannot resist its haunting claim.
Toxic Love
Your love is like an arrow, laced with poison Drawing me like a moth to light Cherry red lips dipped in crimson Light blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight
Warm hugs and smiles delude me so You act as if I am your only When the kisses you give are readily bestowed Leaving me up at night, wondering why I’m so lonely
The next morning I’m up early To get ready to go to another solemn party I can’t help but worry Of whose bed you’re in now, quite surly
The halls are decked in silver and red Elgantly bowing, I have to hide my anger When you aproach me without an ounce of regret Not a hint of sorrow I see in your joyous manner
A timid man approaches me Asking for a dance Behind me, it’s undeniable you see All it takes is a quick glance
Jealously cloudes your perfect face Twisting your smile into a deranged grin Suffocating me in a strangling embrace Leaving me little doubt of your sins
The psychotic look in your eyes Is all it takes to stop me from saying enough Instead I look through all the lies Leading me straight into your toxic love
Arrow Through the Heart…
I gave him the world, in hopes he’d love me. He gave it back cold.
I gave him the stars, in hopes he’d stay. He gave back embers.
I gave him the oceans, in hopes he’d be mine. He gave me the vapor.
I gave him my heart, in hopes he’d take it. He gave me the arrow.
I gave him my back, in hopes I’d forget. He gave me the knife.
“Your love was an arrow, laced with poison.” And I fell for it like the sucker I am. I hope you’re happy, you don’t deserve it.
But I’ve gotten use to your stealing. So here, take my happiness.
It’s all yours.
Poison
Your love is like an arrow laced with poison Here you are laughing now my heart is broken You said you loved me then took it back I want to go back to what we had
I thought my heart was safe with you But you took that arrow and pushed it right through My love for you will never change I just wish you felt the same
Healing
Your love is an arrow, laced with black You positioned it on, pulled it back Struck me right through the heart, not once but twice My senses have deceived me, you’ve never been nice
Your eyes are rich blue, like the color of the sky But they were truly deep pools, crawling with lies You let me swim, then made me drown You built my throne, then took my crown
Your lips are poison, an agonizing death They’re the last thing I see before I take my last breath Your hands were like knives cutting into my skin Exploring my body, destroying from within
Your words are like sleeves, concealing tricks I want them gone, they make me sick You don’t love me, and you never have, really I’m rid of you now, and I’m ready to start healing.
Meaningless Thinking
Your love is like an arrow, Laced with poison.
You act the part of boyfriend, But with bad intentions.
I fall for this act, Heads over heals.
I think everything’s my fault, It just never hits me.
You are cruel and you’re mean, You let me think I’m useless.
Our love was so real to me, To you I was an object.
Leave me to my sorrows, Drowning in heartbreak.
Look for your next target, Maybe they’ll know better.
Poison
It started small, Two children messing around, Now look at us!
I remember that first call, You thought that I wasn’t just that nobody in the background, And that time we were together on a bus.
You blinded me with love, And I drank your potion, I was under your spell.
And to think that I would think of you as a dove, My heart had already been stolen, After that, I crawled back into my shell.
Your love is like an arrow, laced with poison.
