Emmy stepped out onto the balcony of the stunning palace. It was decorated with gold and pink flowers. Her mother was in front, she is the Queen of Gardeville. Emmy is the princess.
The Queen was giving her morning speech to all the people of Gardeville. All the people of Gardeville gather every morning to listen to their Queen. Emmy was staring out. She was trying to see over the kingdom’s walls. The giant towering white walls, stretching out for miles.
Emmy has always wished to see the outside of the kingdom’s walls. It has been her dream ever since she was a little girl. She has heard that the outside is the most beautiful thing people have ever seen.
Ever since the beast killed her father when she was just a month old nobody has been allowed outside the kingdom’s walls. The Queen was just too scared to lose anyone else, she wanted to keep the people of Gardeville safe.
Emmy’s sixteenth birthday is tomorrow. Her only birthday wish is just to peek over the kingdom’s walls.
The Queen finished her speech and walked inside the Palace. Emmy followed closely behind him. “ Mom, the only thing I want tomorrow is just to peek over the walls”, Emmy asked regretfully.
The Queen wiped around and stared Emmy in the eyes, “ No, what is wrong with you? Haven’t you learned your lesson from your dad? You will never look, touch, or smell the outside of those walls.” The Queen yelled harshly.
Emmy looked down trying not to cry and she scurried for her room. She slammed her door shut and locked it. Sliding down the wooden door onto the cold wooden floor.
She sobbed into her arms. All she wants is to see the outside. The endless trees, the wildflowers, the majestic animals, and the tall beautiful mountains. She was gonna see them.
She leaped up off the floor wiping away the tears. She slid open the windows and looked out over all the people. It was overwhelming. She was a way up and she needed to get down.
She grabbed a green leafy vine that hung outside of her window. It had pretty violet flowers running along. She tugged on it, tied it along her waist, and took a leap of faith.
She slid down the wall gracefully and landed on her two feet without breaking a sweat. She started walking threw the crowd of people that were buying things in the kingdom’s shops.
People were waving and saying hello. She waved and smiled politely back, but she was on a mission. She skipped threw the open fields, threw the river, and up to the forbidden wall at the end of Gardeville kingdom.
She needed to get over that wall. There were more luxurious vines hanging from the wall, she tied one to her waist, did a little tug, and ascended up the wall.
When she had finally gotten up the wall she was in shock. There were no endless trees, wildflowers, majestic animals, and tall beautiful mountains. There were endless rows of dead trees, and bones of what was once an animal, the mountains were still there they just looked like they had seen better days. The grass was dead, fire and lava spread throughout the land.
Emmy hesitated for a moment but then leaped off. She slid down the wall. Landing with a crunch. The grass was so dead it crunched with every step.
She slowly turned around to see two red, glowing eyes staring at her threw the shadows of the dead forest. She screamed in fear. The beast lunged at her from out of the shadows.
The beast was a black furry creature who looked like it was gonna eat anyone in sight. It stood on its hind legs and ran for Emmy. Emmy tried climbing back up the wall but the vine snapped. She turned around to the beast's face lunging at her.
The queen sent her guards looking for Emmy all around the kingdom. There was no trace of her, all they knew was that she escaped out her window. Emmy was never to be seen or heard of again.
Walking into the “haunted” house that Darien, Ella’s boyfriend, picked for the group everyone coughed. Dust coated everything in the house and seeming to be floating in the air. It was almost ten p.m. and the group of six were desperate to have any type of fun.
“Are you trying to give me an asthma attack?” Jack asked Darien coughing between the words. Everyone ignored him, Jack was a track runner and no one has ever even seen him with an inhaler.
By the time the group got settled it was ten thirty, “Let’s play truth or dare, I brought cards!” Darien said pulling out a stack of index cards. Ella went first.
“Start a fire,” she read aloud.
“I don’t remember making that one,” Darien shrugged. He made the game late last night anyway he may have forgotten.
When Ella walked over to the fireplace a cloud puffed out right at her face.
“That’s not funny guys. I can’t see!” Ella said shrieking at a burning sensation in her eyes. Later that night the group found out Ella was blinded. They started to call her Cinderella in the hopes her mood would change. The game continued on. Next, was Samantha.
“Put on the slipper and run out,” she read. “What slipper?”
“I didn’t write that one either,” Darien said.
In big read letters YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES was carved and a glass slipper appeared. Samantha rushed put it on.
“Is this a big joke?” Jack asked accusing Darien of scaring his girlfriend.
“I didn’t write either,” Darien replied.
Samantha ran down the stairs to get it over with, but her shoe got stuck near the top and down she fell. Down at least fifteen steps and to her death. Bones poked at her skin trying to escape. Jack ran after her tears flowing down his face. To no ones surprise his show stuck too. The momentum did not stop and down went Jack. When he reached the bottom he landed on his head. Everyone looked at the shoes that was left, somehow both of their feet were still in the shoes sliced perfectly at the ankle.
The group went back in and the house magically changed into a ballroom. With three remaining Darien took the next card. When e read it his face lost color and he turned to the wall. The five minutes sign glowed again and blood dripped down the wall. He walked to the bathroom and when he returned he had a knife. He looked at his best friend, Cole, and his girlfriend, Andi.
“I’m sorry,” Darien said. Cole and Andi couldn’t move. Darien slashed and stabbed ten times to Andi, ten times to Cole, ten times to Ella, and one to himself, in the heart.
Darien had made the cards and the words on the wall. He was a murderer and couldn’t live with it. He killed them all.
Once upon a time, there lived a princess in a tower in a magical land far far away. She had lived in the tower for as long as she could remember. She was beautiful- there was no question about that: flawless skin, shining hair, and eyes that sparkled with silent laughter. The perfect princess. She just needed a prince.
Several had tried to reach her before. She’d grown out her hair to try and make a climbing rope, but that hadn’t worked. The poor bastard slipped fell right back down, into the rose bushes. Another had commandeered a dragon and tried to fly up to the tower. It was working until the scaly beast saw a very large goat and decided that the would-be hero was going to make the perfect side dish for his lunch.
It had been months since the last attempt (it involved a poorly-made sleeping potion and some fairies... I won’t go into it). Our lovely princess was starting to get bored. She had read all the books in her room and even painted some illustrations for her favourite scenes. Then one day, just as the sun was rising, a pebble came flying through her window.
She peered down and saw a knight in shining armour, sitting atop a white horse. The ultimate cliche- just her cup of tea. “Good morrow fair maiden!” he called romantically, “I am here to rescue you!” “How do you plan on doing that, handsome?” she inquired with a wink and a smile. “I brought a ladder... and mountain climbing gear.” He produced an ice pick and a rope ladder from pouches in his horse’s saddle. “Oh my!” She exclaimed, “if you can get up here, I’ll have your hand!”
With marriage on his mind, our prince began to climb. He smiled all the way. When he reached the window sill, he took the princess’ soft and dainty hands in his and leaned in to kiss her. He didn’t expect to be pulled in with such force. Wow, he thought to himself, she really wants me!
But it wasn’t lovemaking that she wanted. It was the taste of his flesh. The crunch of cartilage and slippery muscles. The sweet and salty and sour organs.
As she cleaned her teeth with his smallest rib, she could see another figure approaching in the distance. She flung the bone into a corner with the others, giggling. Hurriedly, she dusted and washed herself off and approached the window. “Oh Prince Charming!” she called, “You sure do look delicious!”
Lucifer fell from the tower, frightened by that bloody dog of that annoying blonde. He saw the ground rushing at him, and then...nothing.
An unknown amount of time passed, and he opened his eyes. Something felt different. No, that wasn’t quite right. He felt nothing at all. Not the ground under his paws, not the wind, not even his own ebony fur.
He sat down, and tried to make sense of what happened. The blonde, the dog, the fall...was he dead? Then why his still on the castle grounds?
Finally, some feeling returned. A primal, devilish feeling. Powerful. Free. He was his own master now, no longer a slave to the puny humans, to his mortal needs. He has heard tales of Uncats, demonic cats who can live forever and cause all sorts of mischief.
He stretched, reveling in this new realization, the freedom. He could finally scout the world, terrorizing whom he wanted. Uncats could feed, but it wasn’t needed. Oh, he would feed indeed. On anyone and anything that dare cross his path.
But first, there was a dog, some mice, and that obnoxious blonde he would deal with.
You’ve heard of Snow White, right? Well... not like this...
The Evil Queen walks into her secret room where her mirror lies on the wall, “Mirror Mirror on the wall, whose the fairest of them all” “Snow White” they replied, filled with rage the Evil Queen put a spell on an apple and one fateful day she went to see Snow as an old hag.
Snow White took a bite of the apple, then a next bite until she ate it all. She was never put in a slumber like the legend said she would.
One night as the wind was howling the full moon shunned brightly as sounds of cracking bones could be heard. Screams filled the night sky as blood fell on the pale snow.
Snow was cursed to turn at the moon, she never knew it was her so every full moon she’d hide safely within the walls of the dwarves’ cottage.
As she was in her werewolf form one night she catches a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror that the Evil Queen used.
Snow White was filled with rage at the monster she’d become. One last hunt she said to herself and she killed the Queen.
Snow White found a blade strong enough to kill her and took it to the one she loved. He didn’t know it was her so when he stabbed her in her werewolf form she turned back to human...
The last things she said were “I’m sorry I got you to do this... thank you, my love” Her look softened as she looked peaceful.
A scream of anger and regret filled the night sky as tears filled the eyes of her beloved prince.
Her skin paler than the snow, her hair as dark as raven feathers and her lips cold as ice instead of the red of blood that covered the snow covered ground.
