Hello! Hope you don’t have a good day. ‘Cause I know you will have an amazing one instead!
The clock will turn, But time will stop. The people will burn, Even after we are on top.
On top of the world. On top of it all. With the stones unfurled, We will fall.
It will never end, This fight for importance. The belief that money will mend Our problems without hesitance.
We will go as far, As to put our hearts on the line, Our souls for a wishing star, Just to claim it mine.
We will continue even once everything is sold, To quench our thirst for power. It all started when we were wee bit old. But, the clock still ticks even louder.
When will we realize this is all for the naught? For there is no where to go once we reach the sky. In this war already fought. But, despite it all, we will try.
To go higher and higher, We will stand in the bodies of our own. To just become mightier But, our fate is already set in stone.
A sound will be heard, A metronome in the wild. In the midst of the apocalypse yearned, The clock still ticks, not affected in the mild.
The hand still turns, But not for much longer. We will never learn. We are goners.
Truth is, the clock is a bomb, ticking away. And all we can do is corrupt and cower. Because soon time will have run out, one day. But, the clock still ticks for another hour.
If the stars shone bright under this silver spotted night, They would fail to try to outshine you. If the sun yearned for a warm soul in turn, It would not surpass the lionheart inside of you. If the wind howled like a wolf on the prowl, It wouldn’t compare to the storm brewing inside you. If lightning struck down from the heavens with a stroke of luck, It would never be as fast and swift as you. If the most terrifying creatures this planet has to display dare get in your way, They would have no other choice than to bow down to you. If the greatest warrior in the world challenged you to a duel of two, It would be futile, because that warrior is you. If the waves created with salty tears drifted us away for many years, It wouldn’t defer me to find my way back to you. If the sky came crashing down on this kingdom built on top of a corrupted crown, It wouldn't dare break my love for you. Not even the gods above could kill our love, no matter the odds. If the moon is the beacon of life in face of the hopelessness of night’s strife, Then the moon is just like you. So, if you are my moon. Then I am your sweet silver tongued tune. You bring stars into my eyes and love in my soul. You are Atalanta, my one, my whole.
I waved at the moon, as the sun sank through the city’s limits. It had been shot, like every day before. Why else would its colors stain the sky and bleed into the water? ••• The sun was selfish in all ways but one. He outshone the stars during the day. He wanted everyone’s praise, He was perfect, of course, He was the sun But the sun loved the moon above all else, Sometimes he would glow too bright and she would melt So he would allow her to cool down and be the star for the night By sacrificing himself for her simple delight. The moon loved him just as much, That’s why, in the daylight, you can just barely see her longing for the sun’s touch, But she would never feel it, Since they would forever be apart, Star-crossed lovers we call them, Forbidden love and broken hearts. ••• The moon winked even though she had no eyes. She smiled although her rocky surface had no mouth. She waved back, as impossible as it seems. ••• At night, the moon was lonely, Only the stars would keep her company, All the stars except the sun, For he had died Leaving her with no one, That is why I always say hello, To the moon, After the sun has set, Promising her he will return soon, It’s always nice to be polite, Sometimes you don’t understand how much the night, Needs to be remembered and thanked Although we always long for the sun’s light, We shouldn’t forget that the moon is always loyal, We should praise her too, For she dies every night along with the sun, Her heart shatters into pieces, That is why the dark, Seems sad and is always feared Because no one wants to face her, And hear her sobbing tears, ••• The dark shouldn’t be feared though . The dark hides our secrets and our worst fears. The dark hides ourselves. The light exposes us. The light blinds us. The dark will always be there. The light won’t. But let’s not forget that they both are essential. Without darkness, the sun wouldn’t shine. Without the sun the moon wouldn’t even be alive.
If the world was ending, Would you still be by my side? If the sky was falling, Would you be my place to hide? If the earth exploded, Would you still be mine? If the gun was loaded, Would you cross the line To save me? Or would you be the one To end my life? If the sun burnt out? Would you provide me with light? If the dead took scout, Would you and I both fight? If the sea took over, Would our love survive? Or would it drown like the countless others? If aliens payed us a visit, Would we be together to ask them why? If I died, Would you come and say goodbye? Or would you instead wave hello? Because you couldn’t stand a life without mine. So you came with me in the afterglow. What I really want to say, Is will our love forever last, To this day? Even if death do us apart? I know deep inside That it won’t. Since you have already left But you will forever rest in my heart.
We want our minds to trick us. We crave the safety of illusions. We believe the lies they tell us. Since it’s better than the truth’s confusions. It’s better than eternal heartbreak So once again I will always ask, Will our love forever last?
I’m leaving forever, I will never set foot here again, Not now, not ever, I will no longer have to pretend, That I loved standing in this endeavour, Underneath the unforgiving rain. Whilst everyone else played, And enjoyed Their reign. In this once beautiful town displayed. Unseen horrors and controlling spells. Well at least to myself. To everyone else, This town granted wishes. no one could see past the beauty of it all, the blemishes, the glitches and the stitches No one wanted to go past the wall. No one except you It was, in all honesty, too good to be true. But it would never be able to grant mine. For beyond the limits of our minds. I wanted to be free And free I shall be, But only when I cross the border, At the moon’s last quarter Which is tonight, So I must finish this without fright. Or I will lose sight. Of the task ahead. More importantly of what he said. No one will miss me, At least, everyone except him. He was the reason of my existence. He was that best friend. Who could always finish my sentence. He was the one who met an unfortunate end. He tried to make me happier. He didn’t succeed. He was my lover. He was my only need. The full moon rises, As I approach the fence, The small hole, will only fit the smallest of sizes, Luckily, I have common sense. I grab the rope I threw over the top, I climb till the clouds are near, And that is when I stop. When I assure myself he won’t be able to hear, I whisper softly through the night, “Goodbye, my love. I really do hope you were right.”
Is it truly possible for someone to always be happy? Some say it is and some say it isn’t, I say it’s unlikely, Because the world is always beating us down and it’s very persistent, With every happy thing that has ever happened, There will always be twice as more, Unhappy moments where you wish you didn’t Do something that had resulted in war, Wether fictional, literal, emotional or metaphorical, War is war, It is gruelling and unforgiving, And certainly not happiness provoking. You can’t stop your mind, From thinking of sadness and despair, It’s literally everywhere, It is in the sky, It is in the air, Up high, And down low. Everywhere you go, So how could someone ever be constantly happy, You may ask? Well it’s as simple as this, Imagination is an eternal bliss. It is an escape of our reality, If you ask me that question, My answer will never vary, Because very few, Really do have what it takes, To think of worlds beyond ours, And always be able to stay in that place, So in my final hours, I will die forever happy Because in all honesty Imagination, is the key To all creation. And so from now on forth, I will be free. Because the locks that have bounded me with chains and misery, Are broken and left with the rest of the debris.
Hope is earth’s last defence, It is our secret weapon, And only when terror and fear will commence Will we unveil our secret and threaten, Leaving everyone in suspense, With what we have left to strengthon, Ourselves in face of our powerful foe, When they have already stripped of us love, Of everyone we hold dear and know, When hope is lost, It’s isn’t really. Because deep down inside it’s there already, And I know, You know. Because we must survive and thrive, At any cost, Since who will take up the torch, When the world is nothing but a burning scorch? Even when all seems hopeless, There will always be that one thing, That will raise the spirits of the helpless, So we will never truly fear, Because Hope is always here. Hope will always save us, Wether death or defeat is near, Hope will always be there, To hold your hand, To bring you onto your feet, And of off your knees. To raise your chin, And open your eyes, So the rebellion may truly begin.
Happy things are hard to come by, They come and go, So suddenly, you will always wonder why, Why were you given such a wonderful gift, Why did it have to slip, Through your fingers, And through the cracks, Of what your heart once was before the attack Happy things are everything that surrounds you, From the air that you breath, From the stars that you see, From every living things that’s around you, Alive as well as the dead. Enough said Happy things are joyous. Happy things are wondrous But be careful ‘Cause they never last, So hold on tight, Because this happy moment may be your last, You may never feel love, joy or happiness again, So why live through such disdain Well simply because it is worth the wait Happiness is worth the pain Because the gain Outweighs the hate And the disarray So cherish your happy things every day. Because you probably won’t get any others. In any other way.
A life without you, I can’t even imagine. A world without you, I can hardly even fathom. A universe with you gone, Would be too miserable to live in. A time with you lost, Would be sad and love ridden. A life without you, Wouldn’t be the same. Because you are my whole, My missing piece in my name. Without you by my side, Who would say ever say goodnight. To me again, With such softness in your breath. But nobody escapes death. Not even you. So I must live forevermore, In a world without you.
