Writing Prompt
WRITING OBSTACLE
Think about a book or film which you do not like. Now imagine the opposite opinion, and write about it from the perspective of someone who loves it.
Trying to deliberately switch your perspective is great practice for writing characters and stories which aren't about people like you.

This Feels Wrong To Write đ
Disclaimer this feels so wrong lol, I really really donât like theese movies. So hereâs what I think someone who likes them would say. Can you guess the movies?
I love theese movies, the casting is great the story telling is great, and they capture the different things that happen and are discerned in the books well.
The movie casting of the main three people fit very well, even though they donât look very much like there descriptions.
The girl is portrayed good by this actress she shows the emotions of her and how she feels towards the other main guys. The first guy they show he is good and he is very likable he is pretty silly and serious. The second guy is shown well and can bring all of the nerves that his character has.
I love that they fit almost all of the scenes from all of the first three books in these three movies; even though they forgot a few. Otherwise they are very well written and acted movies.
Did you guess it? The movies are the three Percy Jackson movies. I think the entire fandom can back me up on how bad they are really.

Cake Icing
A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown is an invigorating story of perseverance from the ghetto by a young black woman. Her trials and accomplishments are extremely ambitious and can inspire any young woman trapped in the cycle of poverty, violence, drug use and prostitution to come out on top and be the person they desire to be. Cupcake is an amazing woman and for her to share her ruthless story is captivating. She shows us that no matter where you come from, it doesnât determine where youâre going. Only you can do that. Nothing should stop you from continuing to climb those mountains even if you have to go through the deepest valleys. â¤ď¸(I actually loved this book).
Johnâs Old Refrigerator
John has been fixing his car all day and is feeling thirsty. He lets down the hood and walks over to his old refrigerator.
He opens the refrigerator door. Before he can look inside, John inhales a putrid smell and slams the door shut.
He goes down on one knee to point a flashlight between a dusty wall and the old refrigerator. John grimaces.
John (Grumbling) It looks like it's time to clean you out.
Now, John is cleaning his old refrigerator. There is a pile of dirty rags and spray bottles on the hood of his car. John goes down on one knee to reach far behind the unit. He sweeps out the last pile of dust with a rag.
John There we go, just like new.
Now, John is cleaning up for the day. He grabs the dirty rags and sprays bottles from around the garage. Suddenly, he feels a SHARP PAIN on his finger and drops THE RAGS.
John (Suprised) Damn!
He shakes his hand in pain and squeezes it into a fist as SOMETHING BLACK scurries away from a rag.
John I knew I should have worn gloves!
The Long Night
(Game of thrones spoilers, although if you havenât seen it by now, donât bother, itâs not worth it)
Episode 3, Season 8 of Game of Thrones was one of the most anticipated episodes of television in my lifetime, and without a doubt, it lives up to the hype. We all know Game of Thrones as a show that subverts your expectations; Ned Starkâs death in season 1 and the Red Wedding in season 3 were clear examples of that. Well this episode is another example of Game of Thrones being ahead of the curve.
Many fans thought it would be Jon Snow who would defeat the Night King, the terrifying ice villain who can raise the dead. Jon spent eight seasons on the wall, where the presence of the white walkers and the wildings running south were key plot points. It would be fair to assume that it would be Jon Snow, the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen who would face off against the Night King but we were left shocked. It was actually Arya Stark, who spent years training in a different continent for this exact moment in earlier seasons who stabbed the lead white walker, and thus ended the greatest threat facing Westeros.
I was so happy that none of the main characters died other than Theon and Jorah. Game of Thrones is a show where any character can die at any time, but that always bothered me. I hate seeing characters face consequences, and thankfully this episode saved me from that for the most part. Both their deaths were very emotional as they, sacrificed themselves for others. Seeing Theon try to kill the Night King to defend Bran, after their joined backstory brought tears to my eyes.
Seeing Bran never use his powers made him even more mysterious to me, it was a good move by the writers not to reveal too much. We know he could warg into any animal, and perhaps even a dragon, but he was hardly in the episode. I like that they keep him mysterious.
Tyrionâs plan to hide in the crypts was clever, thinking it would keep the vulnerable people safe and it shocked me when the dead broke out of their tombs. That was a twist I was not expecting, and neither was he. Another classic Game of Thrones expectation subversionâ˘ď¸.
The fight on the dragons with Danny and Jon attacking the Night King was beautiful cinematography and easy to comprehend. In fact, the entire episode had excellent lighting too, where it was so dark that I couldnât see much and that really added to the horror atmosphere.
This was one one of my favourite Game of Thrones episodes and it will go down in television history certainly.
Persopolis
She is so honest about her flaws. Unashamed and almost proud of all the selfishness, rudeness, privilege and self entitlement. This gives me comfort. It is ok to accept yourself and showcase what you are - warts and all. People may reject you or accept you. It doesnât matter. As long as you are able to accept yourself! Love yourself with all the silly hardships you think you went through!
Titanic: A Masterpiece
Titanic is a word in the film industry that rivals its real life counterpart in terms of its colossal recognition around the world. With a stunning mastery of cinematography, strong dialogue and an emotional storyline, it is of little wonder how it manages to capture audiences even today.
There is little to dislike about this film. I adore the magnificent visuals, the compositions of the soundtrack and the faithfulness to the true tragedy of the real Titanic. The director injects so much life and wonder into the characters that I cannot help but to fall in love with their undaunted strength and togetherness. Coupled with such sincere and wonderful storytelling, I am never strained for attention, often glued to the screen no matter how many times I've seen it before.
Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this film to any and all who enjoy good storytelling and strong, emotional character development. A superb piece of cinematic history, and one that has well earned a place in my heart.
The Golden Compass
I was constantly told it would be amazing and it really was.
Phillip Pullman pulled off a masterpieceâI loved Lyra. She was reckless yet endearing, a liar yet still true, and she was easy to empathize and sympathize with.
The twists were unexpected and really made me think and go back and see the clues and wonder, how in this world did I miss that?
The writing, in third person omniscient, was sincere and deep.
I honestly just loved this book!
Karate Kid (remake With Smiths Son)
Lesson one: never ever, even when joking, say anything good about this remake.
For this reason, i refuse to complete this shit show. Itâs a beat for beat retelling of the original without the soul, significance or even people with enough brain power to know that china and japan are TWO FUCKING DIFFERENT COUNTRIES! I mean he doesnât even learn karate he learns Kung Fu.
Somehow the movie manages to make a scene for scene copy of karate kid without the meaning. I mean i cried in the original when Miyagi was drunk and going on about his wife and newborn sons death meanwhile in the remake when...i dont ember who Jackie Chan played has a mental break down and destroyed the car my reaction was âskip!!!!!â
And my biggest complaint is these are fucking ten year olds. A territorial battle over the school and a girl jut doesnât work. Even worse Chan beast the shit out of a bunch of them!!!! Sure Miyaggi beat up some teenagers but its in a four out five against one match against fully fledged blackbelts!
If you agree please add on to my review,
If you disagree go get a cat scan because you might have brain damage.
