PART 1
I went for a jog on a sunny day and I came across a small path leading through the woods. I decided that I should check it out but first I would need to change into hiking clothes. Once I had changed I made my way back to where I had seen the path, but it wasn’t there. I kept walking to see if I was missing something, and came across another path. This one was bigger but looked like it lead to the same place. After it had felt like I was walking for miles, I was going to turn back when a rustle came from a bush a few feet away. I paused. There it was again. I slowly made my way over to thee shrub, not really knowing what to do.
“Arf! Arf, arf!” It was coming from the bush.
“Hello?” I asked it.
“Arf!” it said again.
“What are you?” I mumbled under my breath.
All too quickly, the thing hopped out of the bush and toppling me over started to lick my face. It was a cute little puppy. “Who do you belong to?” I asked him. He didn’t have a collar, so I decided to take him back home with me. There had been enough adventuring for one day.
The sound of silence washed clean the testimony Gasps grasped the hanging moon False truths lies dungeon gloom How quickly to chase light After clinging, learning from void When shall the dragons return The luminaries of adversity The pioneers of mercy who know all the secrets of the palace The gardens the mirrors the secret passage The keys to unlock all that’s haphazard But the sound of silence washed clean the testimony
Today I set off on an adventure to Slumber mountain in the northern side of town. I set off this morning to make good time so I’d get there before the pixies took all the flowers I came there for like they always do. To reach the top I do have to get through the slumber forest that is known for its fog that induces sleep that you may never wake from. Thankfully I made it through without a yawn. Once I finally got to the top I was able to see the beautiful pond filled with water as clear as air and was able to pick my flowers I needed. Now I can go give to my love.
Sadly, I probably won’t get there before the pixies again.
Such a good day to get out of the house and explore. With the Autumn air - not too cold but the perfect time to be able to stand in the sun and not melt underneath it. Even the air feels different when I breathe it in, so light and crisp. I feel like I am floating as I hike up to the quarry - everyone in the little town has been boasting about it. However, the whispers state that it is a place of the fae, that it is magical so no photos must be taken in this secluded, magical place. With the hike so far, it has been peaceful, not another soul I have seen in two hours. Only the rustling of the leaves and the birds chirping have been accompanying me. A twig snapped to my left - my eyes snapped to the sound. I paused, looking around to see any movement within the trees. There was nothing, brushing off the thought of someone else being out here while I was hours away from town, and trying to convince myself that it was just a cute little animal - I continued with my walk. I spot two large boulders about 100 meters up the path, the town folk told me this would be the opening to the quarry. My pace quickens, I am about to be a part of the few who have seen this place, to be included as you can only see it with your own two eyes and not through a lens or technology. I stop and take a deep breath as I reach the boulders. This is it, this is what I have come for. Taking a step forward I look down upon the quarry. It was even more beautiful and magical; than I could imagine. Slowly walking down the uneven boulders, I listened to the slow trickle of water as it went over the boulders, reflecting the beautiful red and orange leaves, now and again the wind would pick up and a leaf with dance with the wind before falling into the water, floating on the top. Looking up the stone walls blocked out the real world - changing the colours of the water as the reflection changed. Heading straight to the water, I look around me, taking it in and breathing in this amazing place before I sit at the water's edge. After a few minutes, baby fish come up to nibble on the rocks, looking for food. I giggle as I then look deeper into the water as it quickly drops off into deep water. I cannot see anything but shadows of fish when they come closer to the top to nibble on the leaves that have fallen onto the water. Looking across the other side of the water, I daydream about fae warriors stopping here to grab fresh water on the way home after battle. One stays behind to rinse his face, leaning down his long blonde hair touches the water. He splashes his face and opens his eyes, he jumps back, falling on his ass. Staring at the water, he gets his bearings and looks into the depths of the water again - not willing to blink. There was a woman's face, looking at him with curiosity - her blue eyes looking him up and down, her head tipped to the size, her long red hair cascading around her, her arms down by her side. Ever so slowly the women approached the top of the water - never breaking eye contact with him. When her shoulders breached the water she stopped. He looked down to not see legs but to see a dark purple tail. 'A mermaid...' he whispered. She smiled cockily. 'Well done, I am. Why are you in my home?' 'I-I was just cooling off after a long walk.' He said, moving to sit and cross his legs. This then leads to them talking and asking each other questions about themselves and their people. However, it never led to them telling each other's names. 'RIN!' a voice from far away yells. 'RIN! WE NEED TO GO!' The mermaid looks towards the voice and then starts to back away, frightened. Rin puts his hand out, 'Wait, please! He won't hurt you!' She shakes her head, 'I have already broken my law to let you see me, I cannot let another,' she pauses to smile, 'Rin.' 'Please before you go then, can I ask you two questions?' 'RIN!?' shouts the other fae. 'I WILL BE THERE IN A MOMENT!' Rin yells over his shoulder, frustrated. The mermaid looks at him and nods. 'First, what is your name? As you now know mine.' She smiles brighter, showing how beautiful her blue eyes are. 'Sereia. What is the second?' 'Can I see you again?' Her smile disappeared and she looked sad. The clouds then became dark, the wind picking up, feeling rain on my face. WAIT! I opened my eyes to see the quarry had changed the sky had become dark, the wind had picked up, and the smell of rain was in the air. I quickly got up, walking as quickly as I could without slipping on the boulders. All too quickly I glanced back down to where I daydreamed about the mermaid and far, as I turned I saw something on the left. It was the initials R & S. I gasped and looked back between the water and the initials. That cannot be. It was only a daydream...right?
Spirits roam this land. The greenish-blue sparkling water swirled around, particles shimmering with the sunlight. The wind seemed to drape over this land like a cloak. It scampered through, bounding up and down, curving and slicing through the air, on a wild adventure. Trees had leaves of 3D polka dots. You could fall through them, and they would encompass you with their soft and quite fluffy texture. The rocks were sturdy and ancient. Echoes were engraved in it, and only a few could read it. The ones whose souls truly belonged beyond where they were, to someday float among the spirits here. Spirits roam this land.
(Been awhile with this series… I don’t do well with romances. I never got many thumbs. But… we’ve been together almost four months now. So, I guess it’s time for a short clip. Imagine it taking place in the picture above.)
“Shit-“ Ravi turns and reaches out lightning fast, catching Rylee as she trips on a rock, her shoe sliding on the wet stone. Rylee giggles at herself and punches Ravi’s shoulder lightly, smiling.
“I told you to watch where you’re going,” Ravi growls playfully, leaning forward and kissing Rylee’s neck. “Fall again. I’ll catch you.”
Rylee bites her lip and looks away, trying to hide her blush as Ravi kisses her again then grabs her hand as they walk over the rocky terrain. Rylee watches the birds flit from tree to tree, the mis-matched colors portraying the change from summer to autumn. They swing their arms back and forth as they walk.
“Ravi?” “Yeah?” “Is it pretty?” “Not as pretty as you.”
Rylee sighs and breathes in lungs full of the fresh air, something she’s still unfamiliar to. Still green weeds hang from the edges of the cliffs. The orange, red, yellow and green trees sway in the breeze.
“Ravi?” Rylee calls again. “Yea?” Ravi stops and turns to her. “D-do… like, do you love me?” “What? Yeah! Of course!”
It’s Ravi’s turn to sigh and look out over the scenery. He smiles a little, then looks back at her, his black hair hanging in his eyes. “I’ve always loved you, Rylee. Always.”
Ravi starts walking again. Without Rylee. There’s a look of frustration and a little fear on his face. Rylee waits until he disappears, then throws her jacket on the ground and silently curses herself, punching the air a few times and picking her jacket back up. She fixes her hair again, looks over her shoulder to where Ravi disappeared. Then slowly, she starts walking that way.
She walks underneath the trees where Ravi should be and looks around. He isn’t there.
Something drops down behind her, she spins. Ravi stands rubbing his hands free of bark and looking more scared than ever with each step toward her. He takes her by the shoulders and looks directly into her eyes.
“When do you wanna marry me?” Ravi says. Rylee’s knees buckle and his reflexes lock in to catch her. Rylee’s nails bite into his shoulders as he hesitantly pulls her into a hug. She starts to cry, her tears soaking into his shirt.
“What? Does that mean…?” Ravi murmurs into her hair, kissing her head and moving her long hair to the side so he can see her face. Ravi looks scared, Rylee can feel his heart thumping wildly in his chest.
“It means…” Rylee shivers as the wind blows her happy tears. She nestles closer to his warm body as he sinks to the ground, holding Rylee in his lap.
“I need you to tell me,” he whispers. “It means… I’m ready, I want it.” His voice is shaky. He grins, “Doofus.” Rylee laughs, her voice hoarse from tears.
Happy tears.
Division looked outside of the train window, admiring the nature that was simply passing by. She had not realized how beautiful nature could be. She thought it wouldn’t be much of a surprise, since the land they were visiting today was filled with colorful nature. Hours had gone by, and they were here. She got up from her seat and started to walk out of the train, waiting for the rest of her team to get off.
“Woo! I can’t wait to see what kind of creatures we will be getting to see on this land. Annnd, maybe I can see how well it’ll fit with my style.” One of the girls on Division’s team said. The girl put her red cap back and on twisted it backwards.
“Me too. Changing adventures from time-to-time can be great.” Another girl on Division’s team said, breathing in the air of the new land. The rest of her team got off eventually. Division double checked if everyone was off, and started to head toward the circle they made.
“Alright.. are we ready?” Division said.
They all agreed in their own ways.
“Let’s get going then!” Division said, walking beside one of the other girls on her team. The girl with the red cap seemed to have taken off the moment Division said her sentence. Division slightly looked up at the girl she was walking beside.
“Hey, are you okay?”
The girl eyed her ,”Hm? Oh yeah. I’m fine.”
Division didn’t believe it to be true, but just in case she was wrong, she reassured her ,”Okay. If there is anything you want to talk about, you can tell me.”
The girl looked forward again; Division did as well. After a while of walking, they finally got to their wishing destination. They all climbed down some steps of rocks while the red cap girl seemed to be touching some water.
“Hey you guys, come touch this water. It feels kinda weird.” The red cap girl said.
Divisions team walked toward the red cap girl, and touched the water to see what she was talking about.
“Yeah, you’re right. It does feel kind of weird.” The girl who breathed in the air of the place said.
Division touched the water slowly. The feeling of warmth and healing seemed to emerge when she touched it. When she took her hand off, she felt something weird go across her entire body. The red cap girl took her hand off, and wanted to give a quick glance at Division, only for her to notice something different about her.
“Hey, Division.”
“Uhm.. yeah?” Division grew anxious.
“The cut on your face.. it’s gone.”
Division touched the side of her face to feel if the cut was there but it wasn’t. She grew confused. The others backed off from touching the water to see Division’s face.
“Wow, that’s incredible!” One of the younger girls on Division’s team said. She had pink hair.
The girl that Division talked to on the way here, suddenly turned around and stared at the water. The girl grew confused.
“What’s wrong Yui?” The girl with red cap said.
