Write a poem about a blood moon.
A total lunar eclipse is sometimes referred to as a blood moon due to the red hue it takes on. What themes or imagery might inspire poetry?
With her blood-like hues, the moon marks the sky tonight,
and with gratitude I accept her invite.
I take three deep breaths, release my mental fight,
and let go of my negative blight.
The moon’s red passion is now at full height
and she and I magically unite.
Our fiery flames combine, fuelling my appetite
For calm and reflective insight.
My incantations are answered without slight,
and her crimson...
In the realm of shadows cast,
A celestial dance begins at last.
Beneath a starlit sky's embrace,
A blood moon rises with mystic grace.
Its crimson hue ignites the night,
A captivating sight, a celestial rite.
Like a heart's pulse, it beats with power,
Shimmering in this bewitching hour.
A chorus of whispers fills the air,
As creatures stir with a cautious flair.
For the blood moon speaks of anci...
An itching under the skin as the light of the moon drenched them in its celestial glow.
An event once a month that changed Luna from friend to respected foe.
This moon was stronger than why they’d felt before, and the transformation was intense with blood pouring from each pore.
Fur in its place all tangled and matted.
Yet a feeling of lust, a craving of more.
The moon was intense, but they ...
i often use the moon when i write
i always personify her as she
sometimes just a friend or guardian
sometimes she represents me
the blood moon matches my heart
as it bleeds in that red hue
i reach my hand out to the sky
look, it matches my wrist too
we block the moon from the sun’s glow
is it a break from suffocation?
it’s too bad we’ll never know
if she lives in eternal damnation
the moon is ...
You open the door for me
Let me walk out first
Wait for you to lock up
Look into the sky
there it is
a blood moon
Why is it that the moon is referenced with us so much?
I point it out
You look up
I shiver from the night time breeze
As I walk quickly to your car
I sit in the passenger seat and stare at it as we talk
Then a memory floods into my brain
when I was little
The blood moon is out
Bloody hell it big and bright to night
it's beautiful and perfectly round
Eye gaze at it
Could get lost in the gaze
then I hear
Wolves and dogs howling and I also hear fire crackling
the warm for on my skin
it feels so beautiful
The blood moon always makes me feel alive
I hear children laughing and fireflies flying
The blood moon...
In most all nights the light is calm,
Serene and bliss from a nightly psalm.
Through glitter and shine in the nights high noon,
Many do search for the man in the moon.
Then comes a night that some do dread,
A discolored moon appears blood red.
While most use caution on these bloody nights,
I find myself in giddy delight.
A sight so full and rare to see,
It fills my heart with youthful glee.
The blood red of the moon made the foliage seem soaked with blood. Not just the flora. The other cats of my clan seemed as if they had rolled in red mud.
This was a scare to all clans by all means. I was scared, and that’s saying something.
Tails twitched, back and forth. Ears flicked, quick and sharp. Tongues licked freshly used teeth, slow and savoring the taste of fresh kill. Eyes switche...
