When i think about death it isnt something that scares me, rather it gives me a sense of hope, peace even. I understand people who are afraid of death, as it can be terrifying and unpredictable, but thinking of it as an escape, an opportunity to restart. I believe in reincarnation, I think that we all get a second chance at life. But i also believe that were able to choose what we want in the afterlife, some examples of things i think could be possible are, turning into stars, floating around the universe peacefully with no purpose but to serve yourself, another thing i believe in is being a ghost, being able to watch over your loved ones as they grow, then watching over their loved ones when they pass... and so on. I think death can be painful, excruciating, and exhausting, but i also think it can be beautiful.
Grief Noun 1. Deep sorrow, especially that caused by someone’s death.
2. Trouble or annoyance.
G r i e f
Grief is indeed annoying As well as troublesome
Grief is full of sorrow No matter the cause of it
But let’s focus on the death part shall we? No matter the words I use Or the pages I fill I will never accurately describe grief for me Or anyone else It is unique And almost impossible to describe Almost
It is a deep pain that no one can heal And a deep river of emotions that no one can stop Unless you block them off Block out the emotions and shut them out That’s one way to handle it But not always the best route
I try to let myself feel Try to let myself cry But it’s not always so easy Because my tears come in the most inconvenient of times Often in a room full of people
But that’s what grief is It’s unpredictable Uncertain And often very uncomfortable
But before I fill these lines with Death And sorrow Let’s move on yes?
Love Noun 1. An intense feeling of deep affection.
2. A great interest and pleasure in something

Love is the hope that keeps us alive Love is the deep feeling that we have towards someone
The complicated thing is Love is eternal Love doesn’t die when it’s true You don’t bury your feelings with them The emotions don’t just die out Or fade away like unplanted roses
They stay They stay even when the person doesn’t They stay even after you’ve said the most painful goodbye
Love Love is a messy feeling Especially when the person you love is Is gone Is dead
Oh right! We need to get back to love Happy Beautiful Love
Love is divine Love is enriching Love is deep affection
Love is full Love is troublesome Love is a deep river of emotions that no one can stop
Love is annoying Love is sorrowful Love is unpredictable and uncertain
You see? You see my dear Love really is just grief Grief is love Love is grief
And I don’t think you truly know grief Without truly knowing love first
So let me tell you Don’t ever feel bad about your grief About your sorrow Because that’s your proof Your proof that you loved them And that’s something to be proud of That’s something that you should be able to scream from the rooftops No matter how much time has passed
You loved them There’s no shame In that
Stars shine solitary Lovely daughters lost their mother Smile as they search for her Among their average days
Quiet but not conservative She sought her sunken ship Now every night her daughters sigh A goodnight is not goodbye
The daughters are now mothers As they have children of their own Their days are full of joy and demure A growth from gardens sown
A second chance to be a mother To welcome children into their ways They smile as they search for her Among their average days.
The Artist commonly known as Prince gathered us all together to get through this thing called life. I thought life meant forever until I heard there was an afterworld. You didn’t buy it.
I still remember the day you casually said that you didn’t believe that there was any life after death.
You calmly explained your version of dust to dust as I seethed inside because I thought you were so. Very. Short. Sighted. But we were still young enough to believe we’d live forever and that’s exactly what we tried to do.
I never thought a day would come when in this life I’d be on my own. Alone. No you. No us. The sky grew black with my grief and the pain of seeing you in that…box…that suit…that way…changed my very DNA.
I sat in sackcloth and ashes numb and dumb, wondering if you had simply ceased to exist the way you had planned. So I cried myself sore and lit a candle just for you. Imagine my shock when I blew on it; I huffed and puffed and it never went out.
Call me crazy but I knew you were still my King, still alive, still in love. Energy never dies, it simply changes its form. I know you are now where you can always see the sun.
‘but, ah, my lover, we’ll scatter the clouds and as my disc flys, we’ll laugh to the ground we’ll follow the sun my light as it shines your beautiful face, will forever be mine’
‘i will catch your disc, as it clatters the ground then you and i, my lover be found, we’ll shift the winds, with your beautiful sound’
‘no! hyacinthus, my lover be found, we still need to fly, up with the clouds! without you i am nothing, the sun will not shine for light cannot be produced without you as mine my lyre will not play, for you are my sound prophecies will not be told for i have no future found medicine will cease its workings for there is not point in healing what is already despaired and you, my lover will not be shared no underworld will claim you for you are mine you’ll stay in my gaze as flower in sun you, my love are my one true one from now into eternity i will always love you so, goodbye, my lover i will cherish you and for the future we never had i will always run’
This poem is based off the Greek myth of Apollo and Hyacinthus. I don’t really know what form to call it, because it’s just dialogue between them. It starts and finishes with Apollo speaking, with Hyacinthus having a line in the middle. I tried to fit it with the prompt as much as I could. Anyways, thanks for reading!!❤️
This simple rule the world abides That all which lives will surely die Yet bear this well upon your heart For death is but a seed for start
New life breathes from final breaths Beginnings birth from graceful deaths The setting sun will always rise And spread it’s warmth across the skies
So know that you are but a part Of the truest, grandest work of art Your legacy lives on sublime In reticent echoes of eternal time
You said forever And I believed You said you loved me And now you’re gone You said remember me And I said always You said move on And I said never You said to find a new life And I cried for hours You said you were gone And I said you can’t be You said I’ll be fine And I said not without you You said that I’m forever yours And I smiled You said I made you laugh And I said you made me smile You said my life was never meant for darkness And I said it was You said I need hope And I said I only need you . . .And the only thing you didn’t say was goodbye
I think you’d be surprised To see your picture on my phone. To know that you mean more to me Than I had ever shown, To believe what you’d suspected About how you made me feel: Seen - in a world of people, who Don’t even know I’m real.
I think the way light travels, Spanning space and time, Is the best way to articulate How we resonate in my mind: Although it’s not apparent Now - I feel the warmth, so vast As the rays of light burn brightly From our spirits in the past.
Like a ghost who knows no boundaries, Like footprints hidden by snow, The echo of your voice remains: Nowhere - except where I go. I’m left to ponder what you’d say, About all that I can see. It’s only then I am aware of How - you’re now a part of me.

You were a better friend than role model I liked it though, it meant I could Choose my bedtime Eat junk Drink Bring questionable people over
I never knew much about you You never opened up Except with the aid of the bottle Till that became more often than not I didn’t like seeing that So I kept distance
When you passed I lost my best friend I mourned for the father The father you could be
