A little inspiration from “dear Evan Hansen” Their song “for forever” (Go watch it maybe, it’s great, and really sad, so be careful)
The day has begun The day I’ve hoped for, For forever and more
We sit in the back Waving our hands out the window It’s going to be the best day, I really know
We both walk out We’re really there I can feel the wind running through my hair
The day I’ve been hoping for We’re here, we’re together Like we could stay forever
The two of us together Time together, we can really live it’s my favorite thing she could ever give
Now we walk a while And we find a spot It’s the perfect one, no extra thought
We both get comfy I look to the view I look to my right, I feel brand new
My best friend My real best friend And maybe she’ll stay, for forever and more
We have this time We have an adventure Waiting forever to be here, and now we were
I lay back I look to the sky I really didn’t have to try
Just being here Being together now How would she allow
But she does She’s really here She really does want to be near
The day is here No more waiting Everything we say we’re always relating
My best friend My real best friend This day should last for forever and more
We bring up a problem the talk becomes deep It goes to me and I can say why I weep
She lets me say why I’m not okay I fall back and look to the sky I can’t stop it, I begin to cry
But like before, she’s by my side I find her eyes and she can see I need it, so she holds on to me
The day is complete The one I’ve been waiting for No longer stuck, for forever and more
The tide rolls in and out Bringing beautiful new things to light In front of you new life will sprout
The waves roll in with high height They come with a mighty roar Waves are really a sight
The ocean seems to raise a war But brings a quiet peace And they all connect at the seashore
Watch the tension that is released When you watch the glass water And see the joy that is increased
Shattered and broken upon the floor, Like my heart beating in my chest, Watching you walk out through the door.
Snatching my soul from my breast, Never again able to trust, Even when I saw you at your best.
Misunderstood your love for lust, Like broken glass my heart is no more, Tainted like iron beginning to rust.
Loving you from my core, But now you’ve left me in the dark, Just like you have done before.
Beneath the sky so vast and deeply blue,
I wandered through a meadow bathed in gold,
Where every flower seemed a spark anew.
The whispers of the wind, a tale retold,
Of days long past when time was young and free,
In nature's arms, her secrets to unfold.
A river sang its song in harmony,
With rustling leaves that danced upon the breeze,
A symphony of life and mystery.
Amidst this scene of tranquil, gentle ease,
I found a peace that soothed my restless mind,
In nature’s grasp, my soul felt its release.
For in this place, no bounds could fate unbind,
Eternal cycles spun in rhythmic grace,
A truth so simple, yet so hard to find.
Here, in the quiet of this sacred space,
I walked alone, but never felt alone,
In nature’s heart, I found my rightful place.
In Douala's heart, where Wouri's waters flow, A bustling rhythm pulses through the streets, Where palm trees sway and vibrant markets glow.
The estuary's embrace, where ocean meets, Reveals a city rich in history's tale, From Portuguese shores to colonial feats.
Once Kamerun's capital, proud and hale, Douala thrived as trade winds swept the shore, Slave ships departed, laden with their wail.
Now, economic currents surge once more, A hub of commerce, cocoa, coffee, and oil, Where cultures blend, and vibrant spirits soar.
Douala, where the Atlantic waves uncoil, Your tropical beat echoes through time's coil.
