Writings
Shyloh Verkinix - Steward of Ettlemont and famed hero at the first gate. Has been steward since the inception of Ettlemont and served with honor. Has two children, including Farrago his son, whom he is particular critical of. A man of his convictions and no shortage of opinion, he is often quick to judge, but does not hesitate to speak that truth into the world.
Gortan-ash Barrol - War lord of the northern tribe heading into Southern Spire. He is task oriented and ruthless in the pursuit. His tribe is unflinching in their loyalty to him, and will literally die for his cause. A brilliant shaman and cunning leader, he brings his forces south in search of Farrago.
Allendra Vallinar- Bar tender and cut purse, Allendra is Kyahs best friend. She is a portly dwarf with grand endowments, much to the joy of the bar patrons. However, she is cunning and devious. Able to manipulate most men to her whims and so greatly adjitate women that they leave her be.
Not auxiliary just characters me and Stormbound have together now lol and possibly more then three as well
Jules: A simple woman living in a simple town. Two kids, settled down. Goes to the market everyday. Then Sköll shows up demanding offerings. Jules thinks nothing of it until he shows up at her door and everything changes.
Hati: Sköll's sister. Comes with him everywhere no matter what. Scared of being left alone. Feels abandoned after Sköll meets Jules and is constantly leaving to see her. She ends up trapping him and attempting to kill Jules to get her brother back.
Rocko: Just wants to live his best life. Everyone jokes about him when he was a kid, always playing with bees and other wild animals. Little did they know what he would become later.
Sköll: Wolf God. Meets Jules persuing offerings. Constantly leaves Hati alone afterward to see his true love. Gets trapped by Hati, but manages to save Jules before his jealous sister kills her.
Vivian: A girl who just wants to be left alone. Being constantly tortured by her parents and bullies as a kid, she ran away when she turned thirteen. The only solace she gets is when she sits by her favorite pond.
★I havent mentioned these characters before so this is your first sneak peek to my novel that is mentioned in my bio. I ahvent finished planning the book yet so i kind of strayed from the prompt and juts did three characters instead of auxiliary ones★
➜Daniel Moore He is 46 years old and typically has a more serious demeanour. He will joke every now and then but only if hes in the mood. He is ex-military so is very experienced with weapons. Just wants the best for Mateo and his daughter. He is decently tall (6’5) and has lightly tanned skin. He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He is very father figure, confirmed by me.
➜Mateo Knight 15-16 years old. Mateo was quite timid and didn’t talk much or at all when he first met Dan. After a while he warmed up to him and saw him as a safe place and someone he could trust. He likes to annoy him on purpose because he finds it funny and will insult him in Spanish at any given chance knowing that Dan doenst know a single word of Spanish. He has quite a small body frame but is surprisingly strong. He has curly shoulder length black hair and is pale.
➜Nameless guy Used to work with Daniel (not in military, after Dan retired). However Dan split off after the outbreak but this guy stayed with the rest of the group. He is not easily manipulated but has his weakspots. He returns later as a potential threat to the main characters.
☆Name ideas for the third one are appreciated!! The book is set in London so preferably English male names (naming characters is my weakness)☆
Daelyn “Dae”
Dae - pronounced like “day” - is impulsive and wild, but only shows that side with her close friends or people she trusts. Around others, she is quiet and shy. She’s fine with the few friends she has and her pretty peaceful life, but she’s always dreamed of a bit more…
Aiden
Aiden is best friends with Dae. He’s loud and confident, but also a kind and caring friend. When he was younger, he went through just about everything there is to go through, but he ended up being incredibly popular and lovable.
Kalos “Kal”
Kal is literally the prince of hell. Dark, quiet, and mysterious, Kal captures attention and respect. With one glance, he can promise a painful death, but a certain someone might be able to bring out a different side of him…
Also I have no clue what I’m doing with this. I think it would be fun to pick one story and stick with it, instead of creating a million different plots for every single prompt. I’m trying to use some of the NaNoWriMo planning tools to help. Do any of you guys participate in that? Also I really don’t know why I named it Happily Never After, cause I don’t think it’s going to be able fairy tales… meh, I can change it later!
Pearl: Pearl came from the sea. Literally. Her body drips with water everywhere she goes. But don't mistake her beauty for friendship. She'll drown you any chance she gets. And Liam almost got it done to himself. Good thing Savannah was there to calm the furious Pearl.
Draconia the Dragon witch: She's not your normal everyday fantasy witch, with the big nose, warts, and hat. She's frighteningly pretty, and loves to make boys fall in love with her. When Justin, Savannah, Liam, Oscar, and Chris stumble upon her hut along their journey, she invites them in and sneaks four drops of love potion each into the boy's food. Putting them behind and making Father Storm even more pissed.
Father Storm: Father Storm is the 'wait, why do I hear boss music?' kinda boss. He's been waiting at the end of Justin, Savannah, Liam, Oscar, and Chris's journey for them to finally get there. And let me tell you, it's been boring. There's nothing to do except wait for the big, final battle that he knows is coming.
The Twins Mom: Supportive, coddling, accommodating Also exasperated at the circumstances at times, fearful of their surgical separation. Has s fondness for Twin B
The Twins Dad: Blue collar, generally upbeat, uses humor to diffuse situations, not great with expressing emotions - sees Twin A as more like himself.
The Twins childhood best friend: Eccentric, openminded, neurodivergent, relates to the feeling of being outcast Twin B may have feelings twd - could be fun
Love interest of Twin A: Class clown, popular, has been kind to them when other boys weren’t. He’s an object of normalcy and fantasy for Twin A. Twin B thinks he is obnoxious in class and does not share interest.
Jake is Layne’s only close friend when she first comes to Batwing High. Jake, like Layne, is unpopular and doesn’t like talking to people very much. Jake was put in Level 4 like Layne, and has all the same classes. Jake comes from one of the families who have attended Batwing High from the very beginning, and his parents have already decided that they want him to date Lila, who also comes from one of those families. Mostly, Jake is more interested in doing well in school than making friends, but he is curious to get to know Layne because of her unusual background.
Lila is one of the most popular girls at Batwing High. Lila is mostly interested in making sure that she always knows what is cool and which people are too weird for her to hang out with. Lila is very disappointed to have Layne as her roommate, because according to her Layne is the definition of uncool. Lila can read minds, but for some reason she can’t hear Layne’s thoughts, this annoys her.
Jenny is not in most of the book, but she is still a very important character. She has a necklace that looks exactly like Layne’s, it was a gift she got from her girlfriend Leah and she went missing soon after getting it. Jenny is introduced near the end of the book, once Layne has been taken to the villain’s lair, where both of them are held prisoner.
Matthew is never in the book except talking about and maybe in a flash back but he is Natalies father who dies in the beginning of the book. Mathew’s death really influences most of her choices in the book.
Taylor is Ethan’s best friend on earth she is one of the biggest reasons that he has trouble returning home and wishes to stay on earth more. She helps him threw all his struggles being the only person on earth to know his secret for a long time.
Josh is Natalies only true friends on earth, he was there for her when her father died and he can understand what she is going threw because he has also lost his father. They go out to dinner once a week together to check in and stay caught up. He is the only thing she is worried about on earth when she get trapped in the other world.
Crow: Crow is a mysterious and dark embodiment of the mirror world. He appears throughout Aurora's journey and, while often a source of discomfort, he always seems to be pointing her in the direction she needs to go. His vague advice is a testament to the elusive nature of the mirror world, and adds a level of mystery and intrigue to the story.
The Fates: The Fates are three mysterious beings who weave the threads of destiny in the realm of mirrors. They watch Aurora on her journey with great interest, and are occasionally moved to intervene. While they can be cryptic and somewhat unsettling, their appearance marks important moments in Aurora's story, and their wisdom is something she values deeply.
The Tree of Life: The Tree of Life is a towering presence within the enchanted forest, a nexus of ancient magic and infinite potential. It is said that the Tree of Life connects all worlds, and that its roots reach deep into the earth, preserving the world across timeless moments. Aurora finds the Tree of Life to be not just a physical presence but a spiritual one as she connects with it in mysterious ways.
The Mirror Maidens: The Mirror Maidens are a group of warriors within the mirror realm who act as the protectors of balance. Aurora is one such Mirror Maiden, each with their own path and journey to follow. Their appearances throughout the story provides a sense of camaraderie for Aurora, and their shared sense of duty to the balance of the mirrors gives the story a sense of unity and purpose behind the emotional struggles they face.
The Oracle: The Oracle is an ancient, mysterious figure who dwells deep within a forgotten ruin. She can see the threads of fate and destiny as they unfold, and imparts her wisdom to those she deems worthy. Her unique ability to connect with the mirrors' potential helps Aurora to see through the dense strands of her journey, unveil what the story is truly about, and grasp each lesson with deeper meaning. The Friend Charming, calm, searching for love (lonely?) A charming woman, who is in grad school and handles the stress and chaos with calm and grace. She is charming and makes friends easily, but is lonely - she needs many friends as an extrovert, but is also looking for love. She drives forward the B plot by first falling in love with the wrong guy, and then falling in love with The Duke
The Partner in Crime Independent, logical, cold, aloof, secretive Mathilda meets this mysterious man when she and the friend meet The Duke. He’s introduced as the best friend of The Duke, but might also be his bodyguard. Basil (the partner) originally offers to help Mathilda, helping plan and letting Matilda use his apartment as a space for meeting, and is a competent spy/investigator/protection officer. Later, he is part of encouraging her to continue investigating and getting a team together, but then he disappears in the ALL IS LOST. However, he disappeared to protect The Duke and his own identity as MI6, but also to go to ground and sniff out the mole in the FBI. He returns as part of the big reveal with the law student to close the net on the conspiracy (and for The Duke’s grand gesture of love).
The Law Student Naive, Good Listener, Hot Headed & Impulsive Mathilda constantly gets his name wrong because she thinks he is too cavalier with his identity. He tends to get angry easily, in contrast to the calm friend. He does not get roped into the investigation, as Mathilda sees him as a person she needs to protect, but Basil runs off with him and The Duke during ALL IS LOST only to reappear using his baby-lawyer internship skills to help close the conspiracy.
The Suspected Ally Private, vigilant, worldly, opinionated Former USA military, it isn’t clear if she’s an ally or the mole for the terrorist cell. Her apartment is in the same unit that the original terrorists disappeared into, and something about her seems hyper-vigilant. Mathilda can’t tell if she just lacks the “coolness” of a professional, or if she really is just adapting to civilian life. At the midpoint, when Mathilda is kidnapped and has to decide whether or not to reform, the ally proves she is beyond doubt when she helps Mathilda to escape and then helps to reform the group for the grand finale after ALL IS LOST.
