Bees singing to their flowers, as they bloom, in a full moon, taking the sun like a warm shower.
The old oak gives a place of shade, to those hiding from the heat. letting the warm gras touch their feet, while the birds in the air celebrate.
The river goes peacefully, showcasing it‘s glittering blue. Fish dancing their ballet,
tip-toeing carefully. I thought about you, on this beautiful summer’s day.
Go outside, it’s great weather they say, They are trying to melt me with this summer’s day. And to avoid going out there I do suppose I hide.
School may be out but the bugs are out too, I can’t believe we want them but I guess scientists do, I don’t wish death on many but bugs aren’t what I’m about.
I can’t wait til it cools down, Or until I can move out, To the place I belong.
I’ve never done what I was told, Asked for LA but Daddy said no, But I’ll be there in a blink.
I’ll be in the state of gold, Always on the go, So I’ll really need a drink.
I will never leave that state, Especially to go back to PA, Even if it spells my death.
These summer days are getting old, But prices there are beyond bold, So I am stuck forever.
Sunbeams dance on emerald leaves, As lazy clouds drift overhead. Flowers nod in fragrant breeze, Their petals a vibrant spread.
Birdsong fills the balmy air, A melody sweet and clear. Children's laughter everywhere, Summer's joy rings sincere.
Golden hours stretch long and slow, As daylight lingers late. Fireflies begin their show, When twilight sets its date.
A day so perfect, warm, and bright, It etches deep in memory's keep. Till stars adorn the velvet night, And summer's day drifts off to sleep.
Smudges of white on a bright blue sky, Sunlight dapples gently through the trees. The flowers sway to the rhythm of the breeze, Busy bees buzz as they fly by.
Gleeful birds sing from their branches high, The scent of barbecue fills the air. Children laugh and play without care, Summer love blooms in the heat of July.
So bask in the beauty and kiss the sun, Open your heart, run wild and free, For days like these are soon to pass.
Feel the wind in your hair, Let go and have fun, Let the heat of Somerset you free, Enjoy these golden days while they still last.
Sitting back, taken back I can learn, learn, learn I’m still not a winner For friends, I have yet I lack
No talks last a second A second when I’m leading I mess up, the demons are feeding I’m nervous of faults, I reckon
“I’m not confident enough for this” I write in the corner Not confident enough for life
I must learn to be laid-backed Yet it is just so hard So hard when I write in the corner
cicadas chirp, a gentle, soothing song, Sun-drenched Earth, a sky of endless blue, Warmth that lingers, kisses skin anew. And butterflies flutter by all day long.
I’m greeted by the scent of sunbaked hay, Honeysuckles linger with the breeze. I hear the drowsy hum of buzzing bees, Oh, how I wish this summer‘s day could stay.
I love the beauty of Winters white, And the rusty leaves of fall. But summer is the one who holds the key.
There’s just one thing left that might, Add glitter to it all, If only summer could deliver you to me.
Shimmers of gold against blue skies, Sunlight dapples through the trees. My hair whips in the summer breeze, The birds are singing way up high.
Bumblebees buzz all around, Dogs run gleefully through the streets. Children play in the summer heat, Echoes of laughter, a soothing sound.
The scent of barbecue fills tthe air, Driving down back roads, windows down. Rolling Hills and Maple trees.
Wild and free without a care, Dreading when winter comes back around. Here’s to Summer love and memories.
Salt in the air Waves crashing Smiles everywhere Children laughing
We jump the waves together One by one Best friends forever Having so much fun
Cover each other in sand Taking tons of pics Our skin dark and tanned Looking out at all the ships
We collect shells in bottles And white beach rocks Looking in the water with goggles Wearing sandals and crocs
In the sand we build castles and write our names With you brother and his friend Playing tons of beach games Before it has to end
We head to the boardwalk Look around and go in stores Far down we walk In and out of doors
We get matching shirts Get taffy from a beach shop And Ocean City sweatshirts We make a pizza stop
We eat pizza and fries Then head back to the car All with heavy eyes We have to drive far
After a few more days I fear I won’t see you for another yea
The crisp Georgia air One late day in June That demerbox, it’s playing that tune While all the kids play nine square
It’s about ninety five degrees Down in those old pine roots The kids gather their swimsuits There’s no room to displease
When we all jump into the pool To laugh and joke about All fun at CSG
Now you’re all nice and cool With no room to pout As we’re all free
