Hiding

In the night when I can’t

Find my self reliance

I escape the silence

I escape the violence

Underneath the door frame

I listen to your pain

I will see the shadows

I will see the gallows

We are

Hiding hiding

Underneath the bedding

I will hide my head in

Block out all of the sound

There is no one around

Looking out the window

Letting all the time go

I have found a new place

Hiding Place

The fear of being seen controls me like a puppet master.

I’m afraid I’ll make a wrong move and it’ll be a disaster.

I cave myself inward, shrinking smaller and smaller.

I tap into my ego with the hopes to install her.

I buckle my mask and tighten my cloak.

Suppressing my spirit, almost making it choke.

Trepidation dictating me like I’m its disciple.

Toying with my mind causing it to stifle.

So I b...

Hiding Place

Run away

To our hiding place,

There we’ll spend the day,

No worries to hold us

Back.

We’ll hide here together,

You and I,

And do nothing more

Then gaze at the sky.

No more stress

For you and I.

Here in our hiding place,

There is no need to race,

For this is a place of

Tranquility and peace.

Here is where we’ll stay,

Together as one,

Forever and a day.

We’re safe here,

Hiding Place

There I stood,

In the room.

My comfort,

Or maybe discomfort.

The pain came back to me

Like a chain,

Which didn’t help my brain.

What did you gain?...

Hiding Place

The sting is sensational.

The drop of my blood created by a blade.

Who would have known something that cuts you could cure you,

But only for a minute the problem still hangs.

The sway of each one, creates an endless void.

The first initial sting creates daggering pain,

But after a few measly seconds, it creates a sensation of warmth.

Like a bright sunny day before the storm.

My body finally...

My Lullaby, My Hiding Place

Dearer,

To me,

Dearest

Than the pulse-deep song

Nearer

Than the

Nearest

Pull of arms or tongue

Out of

Warmth, and eyes to see

Joys of childhood are found

In simple pleasures and games—

Tea parties with princess crowns,

“Tag! You’re it!” “Ready or not!”

The Medal of Honor was giv’n

In attitude, not words,

To the victor who could not be found

“Olly, olly, oxen free!”— a just reward....

I’m coming to get you!

and I’ll always find you

you’ll always come back to me

I’ll always find you

you’ll be safe in my arms

you can’t escape me, anyways

Hiding Place

I have a spot

Not our usual one

No it’s somewhere you’d never think

To look

You might find the clues in my face

If you pay attention

For more than one wasted night

If you make your tracings

Reveal my footprints that drag

Because I’m tired of hiding

And I’d rather be found now

Clinging to a branch or stuffed in a box

Please figure it all out

I’m getting bored and lost....
