In the heart of the city, with vibrant neon lights surrounding me, I navigate through what seems like an endless night teeming with shadows, images, and a noisy, alcohol-fueled atmosphere. While Sin City may not be a source of pride, this experience has shown me how fleeting life can be, causing me to long for the solace of home and rest. Despite my initial attempts to keep pace with the city's fast rhythm, I soon found myself lagging behind, unable to keep up with its constant movement. Each night, the lights continue to glow and the hustle and bustle never cease, reigniting as soon as darkness falls. Our paths crossed, though you did not recognize me as you were engrossed in the excitement of the city. I recognized you and prayed for your safety during your time within the city that day.
In the heart of the city, under neon lights,
Our paths crossed, igniting endless nights.
First, you said I looked pretty,
Then we danced around the city,
And afterwards, I was thankfully polite.
You said, for as long as it’s tonight,
To savour every delight.
You hold me close,
Kiss my nose,
And whisper “I hope you might
_find me again when it’s tomorrow night, _
alright?”
In the heart of the party under the neon lights our paths crossed igniting endless nights. The glow of the street lights blinded me as you walked towards me you stumbled as you asked for my number and we spent that night in a state of wonder we wondered where we were we wondered how we met and we wondered how this could end the sky darkens your eyes light up as I see you stare at me from across the room they dart away I wonder what you saw in that moment what your heart thought what your mind felt as you turned and walked away we could have spoken then but you know the saying everyone meets twice the first is the hearts turn to flip and to spin as it sees a light and the second is the mind and body’s turn to take a step and allow the heart to reach that light I belive everything happens for a reason and if fate decided we should meet then I won’t let that go so when I saw your eyes dart up and down and away with that tiny light behind them I knew we would meet again because everyone meets twice….
In the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed, igniting endless nights. That night/ I realized not the moon nor the stars were lightening up my world That night/ I realized it was you The way your green eyes were shimmering under the dark night sky and that was the first time I actually realized how beautiful they were, not the moon and not the stars; but your eyes.
I never realized how delicate it was, the way you look. That night/ I felt like my heart was bursting and it has ever since then
filled up with feelings, too much to handle.
In the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed, igniting endless nights Walking down cobbled streets holding your hand The sky, dark and broken staring down at a love that is relentless Unending Always Forever
But somehow…
It ended You're gone
You are off making a new world for yourself A world in a big city With big important people With big success A world without me I guess i wasnt enough for you
You found someone who is giving you more than I could ever give you. You’re larger than life
I’m crushed under the weight of everything you are supposed to be
In the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed , igniting endless nights. A twist of fate and I found your embrace . Eyes aligned with a crescent moon in sight. A token of ecstacy reflected by a smile.
A moment of silence but our minds travel vast of what words to utter to the other. A love for music and passion for dance displayed with tattoos worn with pride. Is this a sign of kindred spirits side by side?
in the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed, igniting endless nights like fireworks that outshine the busy city that’s how my heart feels when i look at her the glitter in her eyes, the laughter in her smile windswept hair and an intelligence beyond the imagination the way my heart flutter like a butterfly like the butterflies in my stomach, shaking the ground under me i’m so unfamiliar to this world what do i say? what do i do? i want to embrace her and hold her while she talks, while she laughs, while she cries and i pat her through her sobs and my own tears yes, i feel hopeful like the fireworks in the sky no need to think of the aimlessky floating embers left behind not today
In the heart of the city Under neon lights Our paths crossed Lighting endless nights
We promised forever But forever didn’t last And as I walk alone I think back to our past
In the dark of the living room We danced, just me and you You told me lies, that I believed, Thinking you were a dream come true
It finally became clear that We weren’t meant for each other But from you there was still hope I thought we could be “forever lovers”
Now you only seem To appear in my nightmares Which refuse to go away Even after all those years
So as I rip up your “love” letters And gift them to the breeze, I think: death to all the lovers And let the loved be at ease
In the heart of the city under neon lights.
Our paths crossed igniting endless nights.
Bright and warm inside of my soul.
I found the north to my south pole.
The love from your words,
burned the cold old curse.
My addiction had sparked, higher to a level now lifted.
Unlike broken cars parked, mindset on drugs had shifted.
“In the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed, igniting endless nights.”
Sparks flicker, words slurred, vision grew blurry, as we continued in our stupor unperturbed.
Hotels, motels, beds, cheap booze, and dirty floors. What once were sparks, are now just embers, let the needle insert once more.
Venom is spewed in each others faces, the heart of the city now the belly of the beast. The neon lights replaced by harsh fluorescents, our paths cross grudgingly, igniting endless fights.
