POEM STARTER
Write a poem which focuses on the theme of magic.
This doesn't have to be fantasy-style magic; it could be any feeling or atmosphere that is magical.

Sound of mind, is sound of soul and an open spirit, With open dreams.
A tale of wonder Is a sight to see, Unwavering hope, and unwavering strength.
A world which the eye doesnt see, a tale, a poem waiting to sprout.
As ones creation sprouts without a doubt.
Open your eyes so you can see, Open your ears so you can hear, Open your mind to what you hold dear.
A tale, a poem in unwavering dreams. A book of magic that sprouts a new beginning. With a wizard or a sailor who knows for sure.
There are stories for plenty waiting to sprout. Upon a piece of paper later I don’t doubt.
Lost in your eyes? Never in a million years. I become too much around you. More than anything I was before. Sure I could get lost, But being found is a lot better.
In your eyes I’m everything.
My biggest cheerleader.
Yet I’d had never utter your name.
Then a moment hit. You waiting for me and I finally crossed you. Like stars colliding or hand making cotton candy.
A process so tiring to become, for an instance of sweet.
Wow, how much you mean to me. • • • • • • P.S (It’s me and God)
Whatever we please With just one tease A childhood dream Or perhaps a scheme
Is magic good or bad That question may seem awfully mad
Unicorns and sprinkles Or fire and sparkles Pink bows and flowers Or a world with too many powers
Once it’s here it’s to stay The world is never a dull gray You can still see color behind your closed eyes Nothing is ever without consequences and ties
You’ll make it through the land of dreams And realize how much the real world means Dreams can be fun and so can reality But things can flip, quick or gradually
Your forest brown eyes. dazzling in sunlight.
Golden strings, weaving your thoughts together into a masterpiece of pure magic.
“It’s not good” “It looks aweful” You Idiot, shut up. it looks amazing. Like you.
Your golden glow of a smile shines in every room you pass by.
Your infectious laughter Makes me smile at the thought of it. Then you’ll call my awkward grin cute and I can’t breathe.
Your voice sends a million golden butterflies Each more magical than the one before.
You tell yourself The things you create aren’t enough. But God, They are paintings of pure magic. They are words with power seeping through their ink. They are designs that are more creative than the last. Heck, you’ve built towns with beautiful magic flowing down their streets.
You, You idiot. And pure magic.
All life burns, From the cinders you rise. Storms and clouds churn, Your rebirth a prize.
Phoenix from this ash and dust, I brought you back. This magic I do trust, Your soul I did track.
I begged the heavens, For your return. My luck is all sevens, When will it be my turn?
You will see this life, In spirit and magic. Seeing the strife, Hope and all things tragic.

This is what I’ve dreamed of This feeling This person This smile
I can look into your eyes And they look back I feel Okay again Real calm and real peace
I wish time could stop If I could just keep staring into those eyes Without looking away No fear or worry
But still We can smile together We can be okay We can be at peace
The only time when calm comes When I’m really relaxed The room just feels so bright Even without the light bulb
You are that light You take the darkness from each day You calm my brain You make me okay
And if time could just stop What would there be to worry about
Sun rises and sky is bright. Roosters crow in the morning, Lives wake up and the day begins. Vitality all round, Making the breath of the earth. A breeze blows, Blowing into the heart of all. The sunshine shines, Shining into the heart of all. When the night comes, Moon and stars in the sky, They are telling us it’s time for bed. After the quiet night, New day is here for all.
