I sat down quietly. expecting for him to never show up. That happened to often. But there he was standing by a plant almost knocking it over.I laughed anxiously. he looked at me cheerfully holding rose’s in his hands ‘my favorite’ I said as he walked up to the table ‘mine too’he whispered softly. I smiled joyfully I don’t know exactly why but it felt different he made me feel potentially happy I haven’t ever felt that before. He looked at me like I was his whole world .even though we don’t know each other it felt really really good to be looked at hopefully. We laughed till we cried and made jokes lovingly of course. And just like that 1 year later he is still with me and I’m beautifully blessed.❤️🥀
I sat awkwardly at the restaurant’s table. It was valentines and everyone else had date who appeared early or on time , except for me. I sat sadly and alone at the table as I stared at my phone. Waiting patiently for a text or a call , after all she was late. Suddenly, an hour passed and people saw that I was upset. They tried to comfort me, I then decided to leave quickly.
I paid my bill awkwardly and walked out quietly.
It was finally the day of our first date, I remember how he asked me out rather excitedly. I nervously accepted as we made arrangements for dinner today. I slowly slid on my favorite dress, It was a pale pink with splashes of color from the flowers strewn about it. I diligently applied my make up as I glanced at the clock. Before I knew it his car had arrived in my driveway quickly followed by him knocking on my door. I opened it to find him on my doorstep anxiously holding flowers out to me. I happily accepted them and followed him to his car. He clumsily opened the door for me, I was barely able to stifle my laughter. He hurriedly drove the car to the restaurant. We barely spoke the whole drive. When we arrived at the restaurant, the valet quickly took the car as we entered the massive building. The host greeted us excitedly as he ushered us to our table. The other diners spoke quietly amongst themselves as we passed. Our table was upstairs on the second floor balcony. We excitedly sat down as we were in awe at the city lights at night. Almost all of dinner was spent asking ice breaker questions, a few laughs were shared. I would say it was a very good night. Time seemed to rather speed up was before we knew it two hours had passed. We both agreed that we needed to get home. He slowly walked us to the valet and retrieved the car. He rather slowly helped me in as if wanting this night to never end.The drive seemed to go rather quickly as the conversation flowed this time. Before we knew it, we were outside my house. He looked longingly into my eyes as time seemed to abruptly halt as he made his move. I felt his lips connect with mine and it seemed the heavens opened abruptly around me. It was like magic as it made my head spin slowly. I excitedly kissed him back, wanting to keep the magic alive. After what seemed like one hundred blissfully slow years our lips disconnected. We were both flushed from the feeling and we awkwardly said our goodbyes as I swung open the car door. I hastily walked to my front door and found my keys in my purse. I quickly opened my door, stepping inside before shutting it again. I leaned against it quietly as I relived the kiss, my heart fluttering from the memory. I quickly got ready for bed and decided to try and rest. My phone pinged as he sent me a text,He says he wants to meet again. I abruptly fall asleep before I can answer.
He watches her excitedly from across the room. Lauren is beautifully dressed in a navy and white polka dot halter dress, her bare back showing off the deep tan she has gotten from her summer in Capri. Henry is speechless as he reaches out to hug her and give her a kiss on the cheek. “You look stunning tonight,” he says and she shyly replies with a “thank you”. Henry takes her hand and Lauren follows him slowly into the gazebo where he has arranged a private dinner for the two of them, facing the ocean and the setting sun.
I quickly scrambled into the house Nervously rambling about what I got at the store After longingly talking on the phone for months He slowly closed the door
We passionately kissed, It felt surprisingly natural After virtually bonding online The time slowly passed, the day finally arrived And now this love was perfectly mine
I waited for him to arrive anxiously. I desperately hoped it would be a good experience. It was definitely awkward and uncomfortable. I tolerated his rude behavior patiently because I really did like him, but he really didn’t seem like Prince Charming at all. The date was meeting his family, which was ok, except they seemed just as weird as he was.
I had wanted to get his details secretly. I bravely asked him and a few collateral others to take a selfie with me. That’s when I curtly asked him out for dinner. My butterflies fluttered excitedly when he accepted. I took him out for an Asian cuisine where I went through all my life thoroughly. At this point, I hadn’t realised that I had captured his eyes irresistibly. It was getting late and he strategically asked if I wanted to get a drink. Obliviously unaware of his intentions, I agreed joyfully. Having drinks and conversation flowed freely.
He coolly asked for a hug and so I obliged him willingly.
We kissed passionately right into the night.
The first date with him was undeniably awkward. We began with a leisurely walk through my local woods. The weather was nice, the sun shone down brightly on what should’ve been a perfect day. We walked my favourite path and he kept me entertained, chatting animatedly as we strolled along. He had a sense of adventure that drove me to the, in retrospect, awful decision that we would try a different route. “I’m sure the path is along here somewhere” I muttered softly as we walked further and further. “You’ve been saying that for at least ten minutes!” He laughed cheerfully. In my haste to find our way, I foolishly suggested we take a shortcut through the trees. This went as you could imagine, the bushes and brambles snagged mercilessly at us as we tried to clear a path through. Eventually reaching the river at the bottom of the bank, we were tasked with finding our way across to the opposite bank where the path lay waiting patiently for us. Fortunately, we found a narrow jet of water that we were able to jump over easily and soon found ourselves back on solid ground. All in all, it was definitely an adventure but one that neither of us wanted to experience again as we quickly made our way back home.
The evening began slowly. Both men nervously adjusted their collars and fiddled with their water glasses. The waiter tactfully kept his distance, allowing them the time to get used to each other and their surroundings before asking for their orders. Carefully, the men read through the menu, overthinking everything. If he ordered extravagantly, each wondered, would the other judge him for it? If he made his choice frugally instead, how would that make him seem to his date?
She shyly entered the coffee, searching. A short, green-haired person waved back rapidly. Taking a deep breath, she confidently strode this this mystery person, plotting witty things to say, going over what was discussed in the chats, and trying to remember the names of all their lizards.
And she crashed quite ungracefully into the waitress, sending several cup of caffeinated goodness all over the floor.
Sigh.
