Unemployed
_I quit my job. I wonder if you’d ever go there and look for me when you enter. I doubt you’d even remember right? It’s not worth working there anymore. I wish I could see you everyday. I wish that at least once I could see the longing for me on your face and in your lonely eyes. Do you long for me? I long for you. Everyday. Every second. Every time I think about it all it shatters my heartstrings all over again. I wonder if this will be the cause of my death. Would you cry? Would you cry for me? Would you Shed even one lonely tear? I wonder if you’d say anything. I wonder what you’d do. Would you replay the memories of me in your mind? Would you miss me? Even for a second? Miss me. Please miss me. I want you to long for me. Long for my touch. My breath. My words. My eyes. My everything. I want you to long for me like how I long for you. Everyday I long for your eyes to stare at me how they once did before. _
Aliens Have Aliens?
“Beings of earth, we need your help.” It rang across the globe in every language and in every spoken and written language. Some which no one could known had existed.
They came down in ships luminous and grand that lit up blue and white later known as their danger colours much like red and yellow to humans.
“We exist on a scale hard to grasp, and there are those on the larger scale that wish to push us back, week seek your sciences” they spoke grey eyed and multi-limbed.
“Who are you? What is threatening you? And, why us?” Was the short version of many panicked news anchors and politicians.
“Mere observers who’ve been witness to your evolution and achievements, our threat is beings who create and destroy on whims. The architects of the universe and dictators of laws. The Cosmoons, we seek the aid of your adaptive traits and situational skills, stemming from improbable circumstances your species has found improbable ways of survival and methodologies of survival.”
As their lights glistened on their grey eyes they spoke to the camera, those sitting in front of them and the world.
“Can you help us?”
Day Of Reckoning
The night was calm, the stars twinkling peacefully in the sky, as a brilliant light descended upon Earth. The world watched in awe and fear as a fleet of alien spacecrafts landed in various locations across the globe. Panic spread like wildfire, and the streets filled with chaos and confusion.
But as the dust settled and the initial terror subsided, humanity soon realized that these extraterrestrial beings were not here to conquer or destroy. They were here seeking refuge, pleading for safety from a common enemy that threatened not only their existence but also the fate of Earth.
In the heart of a bustling city, a small group of these alien beings found themselves surrounded by a crowd of curious and apprehensive humans. Their appearance was unlike anything ever seen before - tall, slender bodies covered in shimmering silver skin, with large, almond-shaped eyes that radiated both intelligence and vulnerability.
One of the aliens stepped forward, their voice resonating with a melodic tone as they addressed the crowd. “People of Earth, we come to you not as conquerors, but as seekers of sanctuary. Our home planet stands on the brink of destruction, ravaged by a relentless force that knows no mercy. We have no choice but to flee, to find refuge on your planet.”
The crowd murmured in disbelief, struggling to comprehend the gravity of the situation. The fear that had gripped them moments ago was now replaced with a sense of empathy and compassion. The aliens’ plea resonated deep within their hearts, reminding them of their shared vulnerability in the vastness of the universe.
A young woman named Emily stepped forward, her voice filled with determination. “We cannot turn our backs on those in need. We must find a way to help them, to protect them from this common threat. Together, we can face any challenge that comes our way.”
Her words sparked a ripple of agreement among the crowd, and soon, the news of the aliens’ plea spread across the globe. Governments and organizations set aside their differences, uniting in a common cause to provide shelter and support for the alien refugees.
As the days turned into weeks, the aliens and humans worked side by side, sharing knowledge and resources to strengthen their defenses against the impending threat. Boundaries and prejudices were set aside, replaced by a newfound sense of unity and cooperation.
Finally, the day of reckoning arrived. The enemy, a colossal cosmic entity known as the Void, descended upon Earth, its dark tendrils reaching out to consume everything in its path. But the combined efforts of humans and aliens stood strong, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.
In a climactic battle, the alliance fought valiantly, their determination fueled by the understanding that their survival depended on each other. The sky crackled with energy as beams of light and advanced technology clashed with the destructive force of the Void.
And in the end, against all odds, the alliance emerged victorious. The Void was repelled, its malevolent presence banished from Earth. The world rejoiced, celebrating not only their triumph but also the newfound bonds forged between humans and aliens.
As the dust settled and the world began to rebuild, the aliens expressed their gratitude to the people of Earth. They vowed to stand as guardians, protecting their new home alongside their newfound allies.
And so, Earth became a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of unity and compassion. The aliens, once feared and misunderstood, were now embraced as friends and fellow inhabitants of this vast universe. Together, they stood ready to face any challenge that may come their way, their shared journey a testament to the strength of humanity and the beauty of intergalactic kinship.
Glowing Tattoos
“I repeat. Six gigantic Resurgent class Star Wars star destroyer looking ships have appeared in our galaxy!” The blonde news reporter frantically speaks, downtown New York City.
In the distance the huge black warship looms just outside the atmosphere of earth.
“It has been stated that our leaders have been diligently deploying many means of communication. Hoping that they are friendly” The woman continued as the tv went black.
“You shouldn’t be watching that! Get your stuff packed.” Kalissi sighed loudly tossing her head back into the couch as her uncle shuffled past behind it. “No goods going to come from this. It’s an invasion”
“I tend to agree with you. But if it was an invasion. Wouldn’t they be storming the White House already?” Kalissi yawned leaning over the side of the couch, her black hair cascading over the edge.
“Get ready for school”
“Aliens invade earth, and I still have to go to school?” Kalissi groaned.
“I thought it wasn’t an invasion?” He shot back and she sighed again. Grabbing her backpack.
New York was states away. Of course the closest ship still loomed over this part of the country. But people still didn’t seem to be to worried. At this point it was a stalemate.
The school walk was only a mile or so. Through town and across a bridge. Then a small business district. Yet as she watched the sun rise, a creaking sound so loud it caused her to fall to the ground. Looking up at the sky it was instantly apparent the ship was about to do something.
Hundreds of items , orbs of some kind. Scattered out of the back. Hurling towards the earth in seconds.
It wasn’t even a second before the first one ripped across the bridge. Tossing the tarmac into the air, destroying the edges as screams started to echo around her. Seconds went by, then one ripped right past her. Stopping just short of the bridge edge right next to her.
As it exploded open a gust of blue wind shot out. Dropping Kalissi as a girl stepped out. Her face was covered in bluish green tattoos, but her skin was ice white marble. Hair hung on her shoulders blacker then the starless night sky.
Pain crawled across Kalissi’s body as the girl moved toward her. The bridge slowly collapsed as she strode towards her. Fear was gone, the aliens had killed her. Then she felt a hand on her cheek, pulling her face within an inch of the alien girls.
“Your my new friend” The smile that crossed her face caused the tattoos to shift to a more mellow blue color. “I need your help…. Bad people are coming…. But bad people also came with me….”
“This whole bridge is going down…. We are gonna die” At that the alien girl giggled a bit.
“I save you… you be my friend?”
Couples are Always The Same
“Please….Take me to your leader.” begged Zoltan.
“Ummmm suuure.” screeeeech “Manager on Duty to register 4, Manager on duty to register 4”
“This is a waste of time Sola!” thought Zoltan.
“Well, Zol-tan, if you didn’t take that right at Jupiter, we wouldn’t have been THREE LUNAR CYCLES LATE!!!” Sola thinking side eyed.
The Wake
BZZZZZT!!!
Causing abrupt panick in the facility as the alarm rings, it’s recognized as a alarm never used before.
General, we’re picking some strange reading on the radar. We have a object entering the atmosphere at 12 kilometers a second and risi-
As the alarms suddenly stop, all reading presume as normal as if nothing happened.
Sergeant!? Update? Why have the Sirens stopped?
I-…it’s gone…it was about to land on top of us and suddenly it’s now showing u-…
Sergeant, send all nearby squads to Delta camping grounds immediately.
Hmm? Uuh….yes, right away Sir!
taking the mic for the intercoms and personal Communication Devices (PCDs)
All available squadrons report to Delta camp stat, per request of General Sigis
As the facility vacays the sergeant waits pondering to himself before leaving the facility himself.
I still don’t get it. What ever that thing was couldn’t be real. It just randomly shows up and then no trace…what the hell? Maybe I’m just over thinking it. Who knows maybe it was some crazy dark matter incident…
In route to the camp, The sergeant gets a call from General Sigis
Sergeant, did I not make myself clear when I said immediately!?
My apologies Gene-
Cut out the Apologies and replace it with Footsteps and get here on the double. This ain’t the time to dilly daddle!
Sigis abruptly ending the call, The sergeant takes a second, recognizing the haste Sigis just portrayed
Now this really doesn’t make sense…even the General is out of character…
Picking up the pace, the sergeant approaches the exit leading to delta camp, dropping his pace upon arrival to witness Five humanoid beings standing in center of the armed attended forces
What…what the hell is going on?? Where’s the General??
Calm it Serg, don’t want to rile them up and we don’t know what’s happening for real. They were here when we arrived. Sigis noted to send you to his office upon you’re arrival, so now that you know, get to moving.
Gee, Thanks for the info Bale. I’ll be on but please, do your best to keep the the others in check
Nodding in confirmation followed with a thumbs up, the sergeant then takes haste to reaching the office. Entering the facility that hosts it
What the hell…this make no sense…those things weren’t human but they resembled us so much…and why are they just letting them just sit there? If they were there…ugh! My head hurts… huh? Even Security in here as been increased…with them fully equipped at that.
Approaching the office, The sergeant is let in by the standing guards, entering in to bare witness to a being of the same resemblance of the prior creatures. Upon Arrival Sigis begins with the concerns
Sergeant, as I’m sure you can see, we have ourselves a set of interesting guests. Allow me to fill you in.
As the General continues speaking pacing around to the front of his desk
This is indeed an alien you see. The-
Sir…you’re joking right? This is completely unpr-
Sergeant!
…Sir!…
Once again, allow me to fill you in. They are aliens. They’re here in search of help. Their planet is currently being attacked and are asking for either a place of refuge or forces to help alongside them.
Huh? Aliens are asking for help, with an alien invasion?
Correct and part of the now looming issue is that we are now tied in this regardless. The creatures attacking are also looking for them, which makes earth a likely target…do you see where I’m going Sergeant?
Gen…Sigis you can’t be serious?
I unfortunately am. The specifics they’ve given us about the situation point towards a few days before we have another visitor. They won’t be able to clear the area in time with their current equipment so it’s the only option we have. So from here I introduce you to Xeta of the Kylons. Feel free to introduce yourself
“This is insane…how does this even happen?” …Xeta of the Kylons, I am Sergeant Jax. What are our plans from here General?

The August Witch Trials 29 — Aliens
Clove planned to seal the projects of every student at Afterglow Academy. So far, she had sealed Dandelion’s project. And she had sealed Catmint’s project.
Clove was on her way to seal Ginger’s project when she saw the dean walking toward her.
“Clove,” the dean said, walking up to Clove with a young witch at her side. “I have a favor to ask of you.”
Clove raised her eyebrows at the dean and the young witch as they stopped in front of Clove.
“This is Lily,” the dean said.
“I used to be Sara,” Lily said. “Before I arrived in Afire.”
“Lily,” the dean said. “Arrived in Afire yesterday, and she has decided to attend Afterglow Academy next year. Since you are one of our best students, I was hoping that you would be able to give her a tour of the school.”
Clove looked at Lily. “I’m really busy,” Clove said.
“Oh,” the dean said. “Of course, with your project. Lily won’t be a bother. She can just follow along.”
Clove looked at Lily again.
Lily looked at Clove.
Clove noticed that Lily’s eyes were the same color as her younger sister Rose’s eyes. Clove looked back at the dean.
The dean held eye contact with Clove.
“Okay,” Clove said. “I guess I can take her with me.”
“Thank you, Clove,” the dean said. “Just bring her by my office before dinner today.” Then, the dean walked away, leaving Lily behind.
Clove turned toward Lily. “Hi,” she said. “I’m just on my way to help out a classmate. Please follow along and try not to get in the way.”
But Lily did get in the way. And Lily had a lot to say.
“When did you get to Afire?” Lily asked.
Clove told her story.
“So you don’t know about the aliens?” Lily asked.
Clove stared at Lily.
“A few months after you got here,” Lily said. “Aliens came to earth.”
“That’s ridiculous,” Clove said.
“No, really,” Lily said. “They’re real. They’re friendly aliens though. They just needed to take shelter for awhile. They needed to build up their strength so that they could face their enemies. And then, they left. They went home.”
Clove didn’t know whether to believe Lily or not, but it didn’t matter. She had work to do. She walked over to Ginger. She introduced Ginger to Lily, and asked if she could seal Ginger’s project.
Instead, Ginger talked to Lily.
And Lily told Ginger all about the aliens.
Unlike Clove, Ginger was very interested in the aliens and asked a lot of questions. Unlike Clove, Ginger did not seem concerned with the amount of time wasted on talking about aliens.
Finally, Clove was able to seal Ginger’s project. But after all of the time that had been wasted, Clove only had time to help one more witch: Oleander.
Oleander was also interested in Lily and the aliens. Despite being Clove’s rival and the most likely witch to become the next August Witch, Oleander did not seem to mind wasting time by talking to Lily about aliens.
Clove did manage to seal Oleander’s project while the two talked. But Clove was late in returning Lily to the dean.
“She was helping all of her classmates with their projects,” Lily explained to the dean.
“Shouldn’t you be working on your own project?” the dean asked Clove.
“I’ve decided not to compete,” Clove said. “I don’t want to be August Witch.”
“If you don’t complete the final project,” the dean said. “Then you won’t pass. You won’t graduate. You’ll have to either get married or find a job that doesn’t need a degree like a doctor. Are you really okay with that?”
Clove felt horrified. “I hadn’t realized that not doing my final project would result in such dire consequences,” Clove said.
“Well,” the dean said. “You still have time. You’d better get to work.”
Clove left to start on her project, but she wouldn’t do a project showcasing how her sealant magic could help the community of Afire. Instead, she would show why she shouldn’t be an August Witch and why August Witches, instead of the best in the class, should be the students with the greatest character and ability to refrain from using their magic to exploit others. If August Witches truly were honest, then it wouldn’t matter if another witch went up against them because the August Witches would make sure that things really were fair.
Everything Changing
The planet used to be so peaceful and beautiful, but now everything is so dark and horrifying. The greenery turned to fire and ashes. The beautiful sapphire sky has now changed to this murky looking blue color. All of this beautiful color has been destroyed and turned to these gray shades. You may be wondering how this happened. I mean how could the planet lose its color, its life, in just a couple weeks. Don’t get me wrong, it's been years since that day. But no one can ever forget that day.
Past: April 27, 2023 The day started like any Thursday morning. Wake up. Curse at yourself for staying up so late. Get dressed. Do your makeup. Do your hair. Eat your breakfast. Brush your teeth. Drive to school. Nothing different at all from your normal routine… right?
You would be absolutely wrong if you said yes. Not only did we wake up to a world wide alert about the sky being blood red, but we also woke up to it still looking like night, almost feeling like night still. The stars still shined. Okay, maybe “shined” is not the proper word to use. The stars almost looked like they were this intense beam of light, kinda like a spotlight. Even though we had this alert, life went on like normal that day.
April 29, 2023 Two days after the alert and beams of light, everything changed. Not for the best but for the worst. It didn’t happen until the end of the day. When you got off of school and your parents got home. Everyone had to be home with their families by six, it was mandatory by law after the alert. It was almost like the government knew it was coming. At 8:45, right on the dot, the beams of light came to life. One by one, they came crashing down to the ground. The only way you knew is if one crashed right next to you. They weren’t loud at all, more like silent. I don’t even remember hearing them hit the ground until one crashed right into our tv. It wasn’t a normal star, it was a ufo. The thing that came out of it wasn’t what you expect to be in a ufo. It looked just like you and me. Brown hair, blue eyes and the only thing that looked off was the eye right smack in the middle of all of there foreheads. They didn’t look scary or intimidating, more of fear in their eyes. The next thing that came out of their mouth was actual English, not some messed up language. Everything I thought and knew about aliens went out the window that day.
Invasion
Take us to your leader Save us from our feeder! Nobody is safe for where they roam They pillage and plunder and take your homes Maybe we could get along But our enemy is too strong Get me to the pentagon Before all of our friends are gone We only have a fighting chance If we stand Up hand in hand But we said that last planet And the other planet And the other planet I just don’t understand it! We did everything our ruler said We paid our dues and gave our bread With the threat of decapitation looming over severed heads Oh no it has just begun Hold tight to daughters and sons They had just wiped out your only sun! You only have 8 minutes Before all light and life is finished I wrecked my ship crash landed it So I will face my death with yours standing… Shit
