You're like an old cassette tape One you grew up with Listing to on a loop It was your Favorite Every day Play. Rewind. Repeat. Play. Rewind. Repeat. Play. Rewind. Repeat. You wondered how music Could ever get better than this But time passed Things changed CD's MP3's iPods Digital Streaming Music had changed around you. But then one day You find That box Box of memories When you see that cassette tape And you're curious Wondering if it still sounds the same So you pop it in And the music starts playing Instantly It's like you're back Back in time Back from the future You see your younger self Dancing to that tape Remembering Some of the hard times It got you through How it played In the background When you were happy You are grateful To that tape And all the memories That were brought back with it And so it's okay To rewind And listen to it again
