Feathers brush the sky Soft whispers on the cool breeze Freedom’s song takes flight

Swift dive, water splits Silver flash in talons’ grip A meal for their child

Early morning lights Quiet streets no ones around Crisp and cold fall air

Seasonal produce Locally sourced and farmed Farmers market day

Berries and radish Sweet corn and red tomatoes Squash and crisp apples

1. Crisp pages unfold Worlds bloom between fingertips Knowledge takes new form

2. Spines aligned, waiting Silent sentinels of thought Patient through the years

3. Minds meet on paper Author's voice echoes within Reader's soul ignites

He’s my guardian, In his arms, I find a home. Shattered hearts can mend.

Knows just what to say. Gives me strength when I am weak. Never felt so loved.

He’s my guiding light. Even on my darkest days, He stands by my side.

I wish I could count, The reasons I love him. But, It’s impossible.

Sitting on a chair Penning my thoughts and feelings While music softly plays

Eating bags of chips Waiting for inspiration To fill my mind

Words come, my hand flies Poems and books come to life Then I click on send

You're like an old cassette tape One you grew up with Listing to on a loop It was your Favorite Every day Play. Rewind. Repeat. Play. Rewind. Repeat. Play. Rewind. Repeat. You wondered how music Could ever get better than this But time passed Things changed CD's MP3's iPods Digital Streaming Music had changed around you. But then one day You find That box Box of memories When you see that cassette tape And you're curious Wondering if it still sounds the same So you pop it in And the music starts playing Instantly It's like you're back Back in time Back from the future You see your younger self Dancing to that tape Remembering Some of the hard times It got you through How it played In the background When you were happy You are grateful To that tape And all the memories That were brought back with it And so it's okay To rewind And listen to it again

Sadness drips away Grey to blue green wet on wet Blooming fills my sketchbook

The lake, blue yet clear Peaks rise, hiding the jewel Snow fills, River takes

Cool morns, cold water Mirroring surface, sunrise Glass reflects upward

A boat and some tunes Fresh breezes and warming sun Perfect time and place

I do love my food My favourite is chicken The flavour is lovely

The juices go flowing It’s sad the way they are killed Eat it with broccoli

The wing is the best There is no bone to attack My tummy is full

Art is expression You can create anything And nothing is wrong

Perfection is naught Creativity is broad You can do no wrong

Sculpture is beauty Molding the earth in your hands Gives one great pleasure.
