You say you dont know my dear When will things change I ask for an hour a day You say you donāt know my dear When will you care I ask when will you love me And you donāt seem aware
I am broken Not by you Not by anyone
I love you I reach for you I think about you daily
When I knew you felt the same I was overjoyed We both were We talked And talked And talked
The more we did The less love I felt for you I longed for what we had before Not what we have now
It has always been this way I have always been this way
The thing is You didnāt do a single this wrong My brain is wrong
You have always been kind Always said the right things To make me smile There wasnāt a single thing you said that Made me second guess myself
I love you I loved you It has always been Iike this I have always been like this
Everytime you give me a compliment or say something nice It feels like my heart moves five feet away Until eventually It canāt reach for you anymore
I loved you You didnāt do a single thing wrong I have to lie āBye, love youā Iām in too deep
When Iām ready to say Iām tired of this What do I say? What can I say? āI just lost feelingsā
That is all Iāve ever told anyone It hurts each time I still love each and everyone of them Iām tired
I donāt deserve love, And you will never hear me say that, I am anything but a failure, Because at the end of the day, Iām not worthy of forgiveness. And you can never make me believe that, I am smart, funny, and kind. Because in my heart, I know that, I will never amount to anything. So please donāt try to tell me that, I am beautiful inside and out. āāāāāāāā
I am beautiful inside and out.
So please donāt try to tell me that,
I will never amount to anything.
Because in my heart, I know that,
I am smart, funny, and kind.
And you can never make me believe that,
Iām not worthy of forgiveness.
Because at the end of the day,
I am anything but a failure,
And you will never hear me say that,
I donāt deserve love.
I pull the flowers from my hair And rehang my favorite dress Return my shoes back to my closet Dim the lights, ready for bed
I hear the music through the window Hear them laughing down the hall Did they notice I was missing? Would they question it at all?
Try pretending nothing hurts me Getting wrapped up in my phone But tuning out the world around me Is a horrid way to cope
No I never got an invite Yes, itās time to face the facts Just these four walls keeping company Might be getting to my head
An extrovert living an introvertās life Can only last so long One of these days Iāll open the door But til then Iāll keep building my walls
This is the end Light shatters like broken glass Fragments are all that remain New beginnings arise from the ashes Your memory haunts my heart I move forward while frozen Life must start anew
Life must start anew I move forward while frozen Your memory haunts my heart New beginnings arise from the ashes Fragments are all that remain Light shatters like broken glass This is the end
My heart is broken, my love is gone My life has become so gray and forlorn I feel Iām losing my way in life My sorrows cut me like a knife
My spirit is crushed, my will is low I canāt seem to find a place to go Iām searching for solace in this despair But nothing can take away this pain I bear
Broken trust, love of death. Death of love, trust broken.
Maybe we can fix this, might we really try.
Try? Really? We might. This fix. (šš) Can we maybe?
Maybe not. Maybe this is all we got. Maybe this goes down in flames, The spectacle just makes us famous.
Maybe I just wonāt give up. When we hit the ground, Iāll pick you up - youāre all Iāve got.
