Have you ever seen a skull smoke a cigarette?

Don’t tell him it’s wrong, he hasn’t got any lungs!

The tar falls through him in charred up lumps

Doesn’t matter how much he takes,

Don’t matter if he’s shunned

Man, I wish I was the one

To paint a skull smoking a cigarette

Not a care in the world

Probably cus he doesn’t live in it

His spirit’s in paradise

His body’s decaying

Throw in a couple cigar...

Close enough to touch,

They swung and flew,

She danced,

He drew,

But the space only grew,

Until universes stood between them.

Unable to see or hear,

Much less fly,

The entwining of their lives

the consequence of one spider.

A web far out of their control...

I run my hands through my hair, knotted and damp from the misty spray that leapt and danced joyfully off of the morning waves crashing into the still cold sand.
