Tick, talk. The clock strikes 12. Lying in bed, all by myself,
Tick, talk. The clock strikes two. Where are you? Is she there with you?
Tick, talk. The clock strikes three. I hate it when you lie to me.
Tik, Tock. The clock strikes four, Dear God, please let him walk through the door.
Tick, talk. The clock strikes five. Are you laughing with her? Does she make you feel alive?
Tick, talk. The clock strikes 10. I’ll never let you do this to me again.
Tick, talk. Such a taunting sound. Tick, talk. I’m so sick of that sound. Tick, talk. Fuck that sound! I smashed the clock to bits on the ground.
No more TikTok, no more sound. Drip, drop. The tears fall down.

The icicle drips Spring equinox ignored The sun sits and mocks Behind a cloud The trees are bare and bored
How they had hoped It would be time For cherry blossom blooms Instead skies gray Til nearly May An ever-present gloom
The calander said It was an Equinox Children huddle by windows Praying for some respite From freezing winds From the constant barage of snow
But the earth seems set In a wintry bliss Unwilling to awaken The frosty path Beneath your feet Repeats its unmistaken

CRASH! CLASH!
My eyes flash To the source of angry destruction— He throws plates And adds to the painful weights Holding fear captive within me.
gulp hiss
I swallow my beating breaths As shards of glass Cut my hands and knees. I silently make pleas For someone to save me.
Buzz Whoosh
He leaves the house And me in broken pieces. The dread lingering pushes me to rise— Forces me to open my eyes. I leave before he returns.
Creak Thud
Vroooom
The engine of His white Corvette Hums
Snowflakes pitter And patter On the windshield
A car nearby Honks because We're speeding
We don't care We roar the Engine and fly
The radio bops In the passenger seat I curl in a blanket
Slussssh The ice and snow flies Out from under the car
Beep beep More angry drivers as we Fly around the bend
Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeech
| I wanted to make this because I had the idea. Also wanted to remind people to be safe driving in the winter, especially when it's icy and the road is slush, snowy, or wet. I saw someone spin into a ditch yesterday (they were okay luckily) and wanted to bring some awareness. Even if you aren't the driver, remind whoever is driving to be safe and not speed. Wishing everyone a safe winter. :) |
Tic. Tic. Tic.
The sound of a bomb before it blows.
He didn’t care? He didn’t try at all? The fuck am I here for? Didn’t love me, didn’t fight.
He let me walk- I felt like a pirate. Out alone on a plank.
Didn’t try to sway my mind. Didn’t try to make me stay.
He grabbed ahold of my heart. Ripped it out with bloody nails. And laughed as I bled.
Blade in my back. Heart on my sleeve. Doors slammed shut. Mind switched up on me.
Tic. Tic. Tic.
Counting down the seconds. The clock’s wide awake. ‘Til I can’t take it. ‘Til I buckle.
Takes all my strength to stand up right.
“Stand the fuck up.” It’s what my mom said. When she hit me and I fell.
“Stand the fuck up.” It’s what you said to me. When I took a beating. From you, always you.
I’ve always been a ticking bomb. You just happened to be the one. The one to pull the plug-
B O O M
Now I don’t have to carry your shit.
Krackaboom!
Behold a piece of hail That I’ve brought inside To the cosy house where My family resides.
This piece of hail, No bigger than a stone, Can be the cause of many problems such as Electrical outage, broken bones.
So behold! This piece of nature So powerful yet small! Beautifully imperfect, A bumpy icy ball.
So examine it! Love it! It’s something to adore. Hey, where’d it go, And what’s the puddle on the floor?
